This was a fun quick audiobook! I was new to both of these narrators and they did a great job getting the characters personalities across in such a short story.

It was fun and hot and I love lana’s stories everytime!

I enjoyed this book a lot! I’ve been meaning to read Lana Ferguson for some time and this was a great place to start, This was an adorable story. Cade and Nora’s relationship, starting with a chance encounter at a bonfire, blooms into something blush-worthy. The length of the story matched the timeline of their relationship, and there were still plenty of layers to the story to keep it interesting.

Individually, I don’t necessarily have a problem with the narrators. However, I don’t understand how an audio-only production could be anything but a duet narration. The fact that each narrator had to voice the other’s parts really kept pulling me out of it and I feel as though that could’ve been easily remedied.

I love me some Lana Ferguson, so when I saw she wrote a novella for Spotify audiobooks, I couldn’t wait to listen. I was lucky enough to get an early copy. This novella gives us the backstory of shy MMC Cade and outgoing FMC Nora. She drunkenly kisses him randomly one night after getting dumped. He visits her coffee shop and lines from afar. Little does he know, she pines for him too. Their friends set them up. He is looking for a roommate and she thinks it’s a blind date. Hilarity ensues.

You’ll have to listen to see what else happens. All I can say is that I wanted more. I could totally see this as a full length book. More on the pining over each other at the coffee shop. More backstory on their friends that set them up. I want to know what happens after the set up!

Thanks to Lana, Spotify audiobooks, and NetGalley for an early copy of this novella.

Lana Ferguson is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors! This novella was so fun, and managed to pack a lot of romance and humor and backstory into such a short story. I really liked both the main characters, and their meet cute was so much fun! I also liked the second chance aspect of the story. This is the perfect summer read! The narration was also great, both performers really brought the story to life!

I love Lana Ferguson and this was her in novella form! The audio with Samantha and Teddy was just perfect! They really took on Cade and Nora and brought them to life.

I loved the dynamic between Cade and Nora and how they were secretly pining for the other from across the room...literally! The one night on a beach setup made for a fresh missed connection trope. I loved Cade's shy personality and that he thinks a girl like Nora could never want a guy like him, especially since he thinks she completely forgot about that one night. What he doesn't realize is that she thinks a guy like him would never go for the girl he buys coffee from everyday. Luckily some meddling friends intervene and set them up on a date/roommate interview...each one thinks they are there for a different reason and the rest is history!

Novellas can be hard to tackle, but this one covered it all and I had a great time listening!

Thank you Spotify Audio & NetGalley for the alc in exchange for an honest review!

Room for Two is a quick romance listen that brings grumpy x sunshine, the actually sunny Florida coast, and he falls first vibes to the table. This was my first Lana Ferguson book ever, and this dip into the water so to speak has me wanting to pick up her other books to truly get a feel for her writing. It was relatively enjoyable, if at times cheesy. And while the characters were cute, they were not overtly memorable. The narration was not too bad either, but something about how the male narrator narrated Nora’s voice rubbed me the wrong way and made her sound childish and vain, which did not strike me as her personality at all. Regardless, I enjoyed this more than I disliked it, hence the three stars. I love me a grumpy mmc, and Cade delivered just that lol.

𝐈 absolutely loved this cute novella. It all starts when Nora plants a drunken kiss on Cade, sparking a crush that only grows stronger once their friends scheme to set them up on a date.

𝐀𝐬 the story unfolds, things heat up and I found myself thoroughly enjoying the steamy twist. Cade's shy demeanor only added to his charm and I couldn't get enough!

The narration by 𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐚 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬 and 𝐓𝐞𝐝𝐝𝐲 𝐇𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐭𝐨𝐧 was flawless and truly brought the characters to life. They never disappoint! Thank you to NetGalley and Spotify Audiobooks for the e-audio ARC.

Once again Lana Ferguson gives us a spicy, sweet, and oh so many trope filled story. Cade our MMC is just *chef's kiss* and makes my heart melt. Nora is the heartbroken FMC who is wary to take a leap.

One of my favorite tropes is employed here and it just made me smile. The reluctant roommates never lets me down. I enjoyed this little novella and thoroughly enjoyed the narration. As always, Ferguson is winning with Room for Two.

Such a cute audiobook! I love Lana’s writing, and this one was short and sweet but still had all of the chemistry, character development, and romance that I expect from her books. 10/10 would recommend

This was such a cute novella. Honestly my favorite of Lana’s work. I actually really enjoyed both characters. Anddd that dual narrations was perfection.

I have to say, this is one of those adorable, feel-good novellas that’s perfect when you need a romance fix in just a couple of hours. With Samantha Summers and Teddy Hamilton narrating, you know the performances are top notch. They bring Cade and Nora to life with just the right mix of sweetness and spark.

This story delivers a simple set up, but it’s so charming: Cade and Nora have been quietly pining for each other for ages, both thinking their crush is totally one-sided. When their meddling friends orchestrate a truly messy, cutesy miscommunication, everything is set up for maximum cuteness and a pinch of chaos. Cade thinks he’s interviewing Nora as a potential roommate, but Nora walks in thinking it’s finally their first date! The result? Awkward, giddy, and adorably hilarious.

What I loved most is how both of these characters are so easy to root for. Cade is shy and sweet, and you can feel how much he cares every time he remembers the little details about Nora. Nora, meanwhile, is quirky and full of heart and just as smitten with Cade, even if she’s not sure how to say it. The mutual pining is real, and seeing them stumble their way through the mix-up makes you want to cheer them on every step of the way.

Add some fun side characters and friends pushing them together, and you’ve got a story that feels cozy and full of laughter. The romance is spicy in all the right ways, but never loses the cutesy, flirty energy that defines the novella.

If you love a quick snack-sized romance with top notch audio performances, mutual pining, and the kind of couple you just know is going to make each other happy, Room for Two is a must-listen. It’s the perfect break between longer reads, and the narration really makes the characters shine.

The literal only thing that could have made this better? If it had been a full-length novel! I am absolutely in love with these two oblivious dorks.

Cade and Nora are cute, slightly quirky, and hopelessly into each other—though neither realizes the other feels the same. Their story kicks off with a delightfully messy meet cute, courtesy of their meddling friends. Cade thinks he’s interviewing for a roommate position. Nora thinks they’re finally on a date. Cue the giddy giggles, lingering looks, and the slow burn of mutual pining.

Cade is shy, sweet, and hopelessly smitten—remembering every tiny thing Nora likes. Nora, for her part, matches his quiet longing, both of them too shy to make a move. The side characters, especially Jasper (hilarious bestie alert!), add extra charm to the story. And the way Cade and Nora slowly replace bad memories with good ones? Absolutely heart-squeezing.

This novella is the perfect snack-sized romance—adorable, spicy, and full of healing moments. The roommate/date situation had me cracking up, Cade’s inner dialogue had me cackling (Teddy Hamilton, sir 😩😍), and the spice? Chef’s kiss.

Samantha Summers and Teddy Hamilton absolutely knocked it out of the park with the narration, bringing these characters to life in a way that made me never want to hit pause.

Lana Ferguson, the woman that you are—this was delightful.

Tropes you’ll find:

Mutual pining

Matchmaking friends

Roommate/date mix-up

Healing each other’s past hurts

Cinnamon roll hero

I loved this, it was so cute! I turned it on while baking cupcakes and ended up cleaning my kitchen too because I didn’t want to turn the audiobook off. I love anything Lana Ferguson. Thank you NetGalley and publisher for letting me listen to this ARC!

This audiobook reminded me why I love Lana Ferguson - likeable characters with some super spice. Shy, awkward Cade has liked Norah since she kissed him on the beach a year ago. He frequents her coffee shop but can’t make himself actually talk with her. But when their friends set them up on a blind date, Cade learns Norah has a thing for him too and maybe he’s more memorable than he thinks.

Narrated by Teddy Hamilton, one of my favorite audiobook narrators, and Samantha Summers, whose voice is simply lovely.

Why did I not realize this is a novella? It finished and I was so confused I thought I somehow skipped 1/4 of the book. That being said, this was so easy to binge and I really enjoyed it. I definitely wouldn't have minded if this was a full length novel but it did work well as a novella. It's quick paced but with a good amount of bonding between our two MCs. There was even a delicious bit of steam, which of course I enjoyed.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for early access to this audiobook.

This novella was short and sweet, one of my biggest criticisms is that I would have loved to have a full novel! Cade and Noras story is a very realistic one where he is shy and reserved and pines for her from afar. She is interested in him, but takes his withdrawn nature as disinterest. When they are thrust together by their friends things quickly go from secret crushes to passionate lovers. The spice level of the story took me for a bit of surprise, but it was well written. I really enjoyed both narrators and feel that both were very well cast and did an excellent job bringing their characters to life. Cades character, especially. As a listener, it seems pretty obvious to me that Cade is neuro diverse, and the author did a good job portraying this without outright saying it. I would love to see this story turned into a full novel with more of Cade and Noras story and would read it in a heartbeat. Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for an advanced listening copy of this novella!
