I enjoyed the good explanations of the science and loved Dr. Harden’s undogmatic approach; she did a great job of discussing the lack of definitive answers. And I found aspects of the memoir portion particularly relevant. But I found the writing not conversational enough for my taste; I felt like I was being lectured. Some of the writing was just too literary and it brought me out of the story. I also thought that many parts of the memoir were not relevant to the story.
