Well, that was depressing.
I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley. I started reading it, got distracted by other books and just decided to pick it back up again. And, I probably could have NOT picked it up again.

Fat shaming isn't new. In 13 WAYS OF LOOKING AT A FAT GIRL Mona Awad writes about fatness in contemporary society with wit and insight.

Stereotypical, contrived, and down right insulting at times. There was an opportunity to say something profound within these pages, but it was a missed one. Let's stop perpetuating the belief that women are nothing but their meat suits.

I am a member of the American Library Association Notable Books Council. This title was suggested for the 2017 list. It was not nominated for the award.
