I liked the plot and the pacing of the book. It did a good job of maintaining tension throughout, and overall I enjoyed it. I also thought that the denouement was well done and didn’t linger. On the other hand, I found the world-building weak and it felt like I was missing a lot of pieces. I also didn’t find any of the characters compelling and felt that they were largely interchangeable; I need characters to root for. Thank you to Netgalley and JAB Books for the advance reader copy.
