A brilliant sci-fi novel with undertones of a well developed mystery! Definitely a book to check out!

First up I'm going to offer my apologies for the huge delay in posting this review. I was sure I'd posted it ages ago. Anyway, onto the post...
After loving Rysa Walker's Chronos Files I was thrilled to read The Delphi Effect. I loved the paranormal aspects and Anna charmed me from the start.

Anna has an unusual gift (or gifts), which, whilst I found intruding, have landed her in all manner of trouble. She communicates with ghosts in a very unexpected way. These spirits take over her body to share their demands and memories with her. This is both dangerous and traumatic for Anna. She finds herself becoming more and more susceptible to the ghosts and their will. She battles losing herself whilst trying to help them.
I liked her friendship with Deo who was always fabulous. I also appreciated her determination to help Molly considering the big risks. Some of the truths she uncovers are very upsetting and may be a little too dark for younger readers.

There's nothing quite like some super sassy characters to bring out the charm in a big old YA mystery...

4 Stars in my Sky!

Really liked this book and the ghosts she encountered. The story was well paced and I will definitely be reading Book 2 now!

Anna Morgan was abandoned as a child and has spent her life in numerous foster homes.
She also has a secret - Anna can talk to ghosts. She shares her head with them and can access their memories.
When Anna meets Molly, a girl who was murdered, she breaks her rule of contacting relatives only to find herself mixed up with the police, the government and a dangerous conspiracy.
Will Molly get justice?

The Delphi Effect had an interesting premise but failed to capture my attention.
The plot was okay but I couldn't connect with the writing style and lost interest.
I'm not sure if I missed some things but a lot of characters were introduced at once and I found it hard to differentiate between them. Some scenes also seemed to change suddenly and I had to go back to see what I had missed.
I liked Anna and felt sorry for her. Her ability seemed like more of a curse than a gift.

Unfortunately, this wasn't for me.
