**My thanks to the author and Netgalley for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

This is a quick read novella that follows Neve and Sheldon, two people connected by Daddy Brill and her boyfriend Warner.

Sheldon has had some rotten luck and needs money to fight for custody of his son, while Neve is a falling reality star who needs someone to help her boost her profile.

A sexual connection starts from the beginning, but it is only when the couple get married for a TV show that things start to happen fast. With two weeks to get to know each other and their pasts the pair connect on a level that neither were expecting and end up putting ghosts to rest and finding the missing piece to their puzzles.

A really hot read, but the story happens far too fast for my liking.

This book had a lot of potential, but it was just okay, Sheldon is a single dad who was recently fired from his job as an airplane mechanic. He has an Autistic son and ex in prison and is looking for money to fight for custody as his ex will be released soon. Then there is Neve, a struggling actress/singer who seems shallow and needs help career back on track. They decide the only solution, a marriage of convenience.... Neve & Sheldon get married, star in a reality TV show about newlyweds and get paid.

My problem with the story is it was all too fast. This book could have developed the characters, or their relationship more. It left me wanting for more of the back story, and a bit more realistic.

Thank you for the opportunity to read A Manhattanite's Christmas. Unfortunately, I did not download the book before it was archived in November 2016. I do not plan to finish the book.

A sexy, fun read. I enjoyed the quicky romance between these two characters. The writing wasn't the best and the ending was super rushed but it was still a fun holiday book.

The Manhattanites are the sassiest, sexiest and most stylish group of New Yorkers you can evet hope to meet. They definately know how to push the limit, but they are just too fun to ignore and once you start reading this series, you will find it impossible to stop!

This time we meet Warner Truman's younger brother Sheldon. And even though there may be some similarities between the two brothers, there are also some big differences. Unlike his super rich brother, Sheldon is a blue collar plane mechanic who likes to live by his means and not ask for help from anyone, especially from his brother. But his carefree, playboy life takes an unexpected turn when he finds out that he has a son, an autistic son who he now has to take care of because his mother has been sent to jail. And even though he is doing the best that he can and trying to answer all of Liam's needs- emotionally, physically and financially - he finds himself in a bind when he finds out that he is losing his job. So when an offer to marry a sexy pop princess/reality star in order to enter a new reality show is offered to him, he finds himself reluctantly excepting. He doesn't believe in love and commitment anyway, so why not make a huge amount of money in a short amount of time?

Neve Adele is an it girl. A pop princess who owes her fame to reality shows, she is told by her PR firm that she needs to do something in order to put her name out there again. What better opportunity than to star in an upcoming reality show about newly weds. The only problem is that she isn't married or engaged. In fact, she isn't even in a serious relationship. But when she sees Sheldon Truman she knows that he is the one she wants with her. The only problem is getting him to agree. And when he finally does, they find that they are able to easily adapt to the role of newly weds ;)

Even though Avery warns all readers in the start of the book about how hot this series is, I feel that I should also add my warning. This book, like all Manhattanite books is extremely hot!!!! You will literally find yourselves blushing while reading it! Not that I mind that ;) so if this isn't your thing than stay clear of this series, but for those who like their romance hot and spicy, you won't regret reading it!

This book had so much potential, but for me it fell incredibly short. First off, be aware this is a novella; the book ends at 67% of the way through and the rest is just exerts from other books.

I wanted more of a slow burn attraction between Sheldon and Neve. I would have loved to read about them both being resistant to falling for each other and for feelings to have slowly developed. Instead, within an hour of meeting each other they are making out in a parking lot.

The feelings developed way too quickly for me and I found both characters lacked depth. There was little done in terms of character development.

A charming romance book just in time for the holiday season.

I wanted to like this book, but I just couldn't. I had to work just to make it to the end. The author's writing style was well enough, but I couldn't stand the characters nor could I tolerate the plot.

*** I voluntarily reviewed this book, via NetGalley I gained no monetary incentives nor was I specifically requested to review the book, these are my honest ramblings and I hope you enjoy reading them - kat***

I do like the characters that Avery Aster writes about, they are pure escapism and a great way to zone out from the humdrum reality of real life.

We really don't get to see much of the familiar characters in this book, a brief cameo by Taddy and Kiki and Blake at Brill inc, but the main story centres on Taddy's Brother in law, single dad Sheldon Truman, he is trying to do the right thing for his autistic child, and to do that he needs money, he won't take charity from his brother Warner, so that means he is going to agree to go on a reality TV show!
The show is a Newlywed Boot Camp with Neve Adele, a C-lister she is beginning to see her fame slip, she is willing to do anything, even if it means marrying a total stranger!

The pair feel an attraction, and even though they think they are incompatible - it seems they have a lot of things that they like about each other...

As they work together in the program they begin to peel back the layers that each of them hide behind.

I liked this couple, they looked completely incompatible from the outside, but their hearts told a different story.

Of course, this is an Avery Aster Book so the sex was HOTT! but I loved the way that Neve had to work through what she thought she wanted... and when she got it, found what she really wanted was what she'd walked away from.

Neve Adele is trying to give her career a boost and the only solution her PR company could come up with is her being a part of a high paying celebrity Newlywed Boot Camp reality TV show. There's only one problem.....She's not married!

Sheldon Truman spent his life being the life of the party until one night of fun turns his life upside down. In one day he finds out not only is he a father but the mother of the child is also locked up in jail for fraud. Although Sheldon has always been able to make ends meet he definitely does not make enough money to take care of his newly found son....

Neve needs a husband...Sheldon needs the money they could make if they win the show. The real question is can they make the world believe that their newly found marriage is 100% the real deal all while keeping their hearts safe? Read and find out!

I voluntarily reviewed this Advanced Reviewers copy of this book.

I really liked this book. I thought it was funny, sexy, and super sweet.

I loved that there was a moment when the fact that they may be getting married became a reality to this couple. But in this book I loved that Avery Aster showed that moment of sanity when both Neve and Sheldon had to really stop and consider what they were doing.

I loved that this was not an instant romance but a build up of feelings that had to be considered and lives that would be affected by them being a couple. Overall a really good book. The story I am waiting for is Ms. Brill's assistant I have a feeling it is going to be out of this world!
