Tara is a post-graduate student in theoretical mathematics, with a unique talent. Her eidetic memory, combined with her ability to make complex calculations...in her head and on the fly...is killing it on the casino tables while she plays blackjack. All she wants is to win enough to pay off her student debts, so she can continue with her PhD.
Marc is a casino security expert with a checkered past. Once an up-and-coming poker champion on the tournaments circuit, he's been disgraced through no fault of his own. But if he can mentor another phenomenon and prove he wasn't cheating, he'll be welcomed back where he once was banned.
When Marc spots Tara winning just a little too much, he's sure she's counting cards, but her method is undetectable. When they join forces to get what they both want, unintended consequences ensue as sparks fly and they discover what they want most of all is...each other.
Could she be the player he needs to win his way back to the game he loves? Could his family secret threaten what they have, both in the card room and the bedroom?
