These days Elle has found a happy place in her life but a new case brings her face to face with the man she wants to avoid. Graeme and Elle fight their attraction to each other but can you really fight love? I enjoyed watching these two find their way to happiness. Both Graeme and Elle are each good people and together they make a great team. As the two work the case they must also work through their emotions and find out just what they truly want.

This fast paced book pulled me in right from the start and is full of just the right amount of romance and action.

The Task Force Hawaii team works on a variety of cases in conjunction with local, state and federal agencies.
Over the last 12 months I have found myself gravitating to the romantic suspense genre and in my humble opinion Melissa Schroeder is one of the best I have read. She brings the stories to life so well and her writing is of an extremely high standard.
I thoroughly enjoyed Elle and Graeme’s story. In the first book in the series, Seductive Reasoning, they were often found to be sniping at each other. Now they need to work together to solve a cold case and ensure that a killer is brought to justice.
Working together brings feelings to the service that neither of them wants to admit too or even act on. It’s a fine line between love and hate.
There are so many twists and turns to this book that I was riveted and stayed up late in the night. I couldn’t put it down.
This book is exactly what I have come to expect from Melissa Schroeder, well written and thoroughly enjoyable. I anxiously await the next book in the Task Force Hawaii series.
If you are looking for a book that is hot, spicy, romantic and suspenseful, then look no further.

Just love this series but then ive not read anything i have not loved by Melissa Schroeder.I think this series is getting better with each book and cant wait to read the next one.If your looking for a super hot action packed read that you cant put down then these are for you recommended to all

excellent read

Hostile Desires is the second book in Melissa Schroeder’s Task Force Hawaii series and can be read as a standalone.
Greame and Elle were both likeable, realistic and well-developed characters and I loved their bickering and the chemistry between them. The secondary cast was interesting and diverse as well.
A thrilling, well-paced story that kept me guessing until the very end who did it. I would definitely recommend this book to anybody who loves romantic suspense.

Book 2 in the tasks force Hawaii. The characters in this series is what makes these books fantastic. They all get there own story an you get to know each one of them an the couples they become. This is going to be another great series by Melissa. I just love her books not read one I haven't loved yet. You will need to read in order to understand and get to know everyone but you will end up falling just as I did in love with them, can't wait for the next book. Would totally recommend

a great story with an excellent plot. Kept me hooked from start to finish. Enjoyed the romance.

Both Graeme and Elle are transplants in Hawaii. It's different seeing the beautiful island from their point of view.
Graeme is so patient with Elle knowing that she just needs time. Elle knows what she needs and wants, Graeme is it.
While you can read this book as a stand alone, I think it would be best to read in order. All of the characters from Seductive Reasoning are in this book and with relationships growing or starting, having the background helps.
