Check out debut author Diana Sue Wellspring's novel, Lavender Dreams
When Sarah Chase got on the ferry to Bainbridge Island, she left her lover, her job, and her past behind. She didn’t know that in the course of one day she would meet a woman who might be the girl of her dreams, change her career path, create a new family, and find herself in a fairytale mansion with two of the quirkiest little old ladies imaginable.

I simply loved this book. I may be a little bias too because I lived in Seattle. Sarah is a nurse that is burnt out and on a ferry ride to a new job Sarah meets Jen. I don't want to give away too much, but the book is about creating family with different generations. Grace & Marie are just wonderful supportive characters that mesh very well with Sarah. The romance may be a little lacking to some readers, as the book focuses on a new venture and on community. Still this is a great read about family, love and starting over in the Pacific Northwest.
