Description

An average teen – a supernatural task.

Stella Martens is a fallen angel.
Stella's former angel self Vitrella came here as a shooting star and was reborn as a human baby with no memory of her angel existence. A clean slate.
Pity that Stella could really benefit from recalling what in heaven possessed Vitrella to voluntarily exchange her immortal magic angeldom for a life as an average teen girl in a very average town—Average, New Hampshire.
She learns the truth when a sexy supernatural being breaks angel code and tells unsuspecting Stella about her celestial alter ego along with the news that Stella has to fulfill Vitrella's wish-granting quota. Turns out, it was Vitrella's job to fulfill wishes, and angels have to meet their job expectations or else face dire consequences. Easy for Vitrella, who had an angel's grace, but how is Stella supposed to manage being an ordinary human girl without superpowers?

Advance Praise

“Readers will really enjoy everything that Wish Upon a Fallen Star has to offer. Stella is a normal teen who finds out she’s actually a wish-granting angel named Vitrella. This story has a lot of charm, and I was very pleased to find that it held a lot of action, mystery, and even threw in a twist! I’m looking forward to reading the next book in this series by Felicity Green!” Neila F., Line Editor, Red Adept Editing

What if there was an angel asking you for help to save the world? Would you do it? What if there was a demon, possessing your little sister, trying to kill you? Would you still help others or save yourself? Stella is facing those questions when Zack tells her a story, the story about a fallen angel and how this angels soul is living inside her. And Stella is supposed to take on this fallen angels job, she has to fulfill wishes and keep the world from ending.
I liked Stella and that she has flaws like everybody else. She wants prove, is not accepting Zack's story without asking questions and even then she has a hard time believing, that she is capable to help people without having some kind of super power. But in the end she learns that everybody can do something to help. The only thing slightly uncomfortable for me was the thought that Stella was watching her parents having sex. That sounds not like something anybody would do. Besides that this was a good read and great start to a new series, and I want to know what more Stella learns about Vitrella and where Vito has disappeared and what Mal is going to do next.
I chose to read this book and all opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased. Thank you, NetGalley and Felicity Green!

I have to say that for the intended audience I thought it was well written and I am curious to see how the story enfolds in further installments. I don't know if I would recommend this for the young at heart adults in my circle however I would pass this on the my teen sister in law as a book she may enjoy.

For the Characters
I thought that Stella was well written and her quirky personality really shined. It was very easy to relate to her and chuckle along with her skepticism of her current situation. I honestly would love to see how she grows throughout her "quest".

Zach is still a bit of a mystery and came off more like eye candy than an actual major character. I am hoping that he evolves and that his character opens up a bit more so he has more substance.

The supporting characters were very fun and Aunt Jeannie is probably one of my favorites even though we did not see very much of her! I think she could be a real source of comedic relief and realism later on. She reminded me of that friend / family member who is not afraid to stand up for you but at the same time tell you you are an idiot.

As the plot progressed I loved the predicable but interesting twists and turns that the story made. You could really picture yourself there in the moment experiences the world that was created.
