Description
Evie Reid, on a whim, agrees to travel back in time to 1997 to change
bad boy Bellamy Lovel's path of destruction. She's smart with a college
degree, but she's still fan-girl crazy for the rock band, Civilized
Heathens. Evie knows despite all Bellamy's smiles and enthusiasm on the
stage, he's destined to end it all on one lonely night in a hotel room
unless she can change his path.
Bellamy isn't keen on having
Evie as his personal assistant, hired by his band mates to watch over
him, and keep him on schedule. However, there is something about the
woman that sparks his interest, despite his best to ignore her. When
darkness threatens to consume him, he realizes she may be the only light
that will chase the shadows away.

This novel was a better read than I was expecting it to be. I enjoyed the plot and the characters. This is a time traveling romance novel that deals with situations many people come across today. It shows that people can overcome obstacles and become better people. You need to want to change, no one can force you to.
Bellamy Lovel dies in 1997 due to suicide. He was in a band and an amazing singer. Evie Reid begins a fan club sometime after his death. In 2007, she feels that his death could have been prevented. She had an opportunity to be Bellamyu's assistant but she turned it down due to what happened at a concert with him when she was 14. Her friend said she can travel back in time to try and prevent Bellamy's suicide. She takes that chance and winds up back in 1997.
Bellamy does not want an assistant but Evie has every intention of saving him. He tries to persuade her to leave but she does not. She wants to be his friend an tells him so. He still blames himself for his father's death and turns to drugs and alcohol to numb the pain. Evie is able to get through to him and she begins to fall in love with him. Bellamy begins to deeply care for her. No one has ever done for him what she has. They do through up and downs in their relationship.
However, Evie is sent back to 2007 before the terrible event can occur. On that night, Bellamy is contemplating about suicide. He has no desire to live. Will Evie have made a difference and prevent his untimely death or will history remain as it is?

This book makes no sense but it's funny sometimes despite being a little too heteronormative for my taste. The time travel has no rules whatsoever and the romance even though not very healthy at least it's more real about consequences than others I have seen.
