Foss runs every day because her husband, Stephan, wants her to. She also drinks
exactly two cups of coffee a day, takes her shoes off by the door, and makes
sure the counters are always clean for him.
Their lives run in predictable roles until Catherine witnesses a murder. It sparks memories that Catherine would rather keep buried, sending her down a dark path. To make matters worse Stephan starts keeping secrets, and when Catherine catches him in a lie, she stops playing by his rules.
Without him as her rock, reality and sanity become blurred and Catherine is not sure who to trust. She starts relying on another man, but meeting him may be more disastrous than she thought.
