Description

Mona Lisa St. James made a deathbed promise that she would do anything to save her mother's art gallery. Unfortunately, not only is The Red painted red, but it's in the red. She soon realizes she has no choice but to sell it.

Just as she realizes she has no choice but to sell it, a mysterious man comes in after closing time and makes her an offer: He will save The Red if she agrees to submit to him for the period of one year.

The man is handsome, English, and terribly tempting...but surely her mother didn't mean for Mona to sell herself to a stranger. Then again, she did promise to do anything to save The Red...

The Red is a standalone novel of erotic fantasy from Tiffany Reisz, international bestselling author of The Bourbon Thief and the Original Sinners series.

HOT! What a great read but a warning is necessary : it is a true erotica (bordering on porn) ! Reisz doesn't shy away from anything. Each chapter is inspired by a famous painting and it sometimes take quite a filthy turn...The writing is spot on and the mystery behind the protagonist keeps you guessing until the end. I truly loved reading this and yes I was often aroused reading it ^_^

The Red is unlike anything I've ever read before. Tiffany Reisz has once again completely captivated me in her story and left me begging for more. Mona Lisa St. James is about to lose her art gallery and has to make a deal with Malcolm, the devil, to save it. Every time Malcom comes for a visit they reenact a different painting, and while some of them were not my cup of tea I couldn't stop reading. The Red just confirmed that I'll read anything Tiffany Reisz and end up loving it!

A singe-worthy romance. Interesting and unique storyline.

Every time I read a new Tiffany Reisz book and I think she pushes the boundaries, she pulls a "hold my beer" with the next release. This is definitely a hold my beer book. A supernatural, erotic acid trip. Filthy, sexy, and beautiful.

Wasn't what I'd been expecting at all. Purchased this book at a signing by the author back in September 2016 and she giddily informed us this was smut. Come on it's supposed to be Nora's book...But it really wasn't and it definitely took you into your imagination.
And since I have a signed copy had to wait for the ARC before I could read it.

The Red is an unholy fuckfest that I enjoyed immensely. I loved the premise of it and the execution of it. It kept my attention from start to finish and also kept me hot and bothered. If you're in the mood for an erotic romance I definitely recommend this book.

I loved the Original Sinners series, so when I saw this book from Tiffany, I couldn't wait to read it!

Well... I must confess I honestly don't know what to think about this book.
When her mother passed away, Mona has promised her to do all she could to save The Red, her Art Gallery.
Then one night, she receives an offer she can't refuse... Malcolm offers her money to use her body for one year, with encounters 1 or 2 per month.

I have to admit I didn't like all of the sex scenes... which sometimes describe some facts way too much for me. But the descriptions are original : each scene is based on a real painting.
I loved so much the Art, omnipresent in the book. I really found that side of the story interesting and I really loved to learn more about the stories behind the paintings.

Tiffany succeeded again to take the reader with her in her world and we really want to know what's going to happen! Even if I didn't like the sexe scenes, I wanted to read more, to know the truth about Malcolm, to understand how everything was possible. I didn't expect this ending, at least not all of it. I found it a little bit too fast, and I wonder if a sequel is planned.

Anyway, I loved to read again Tiffany's writing style, her gift to take us in her universe and teach us many things based on a real documentation.

I am a diehard fan of the Original Sinners series, so as soon as I found out "Nora" was writing a book, I was counting down the days until its release. And what a release it is.

The Red is an erotic fantasy, meaning there are supernatural elements at play. It's important to keep this in mind. This isn't the kind of erotica you've come to expect from Tiffany. It will push your limits and nudge you out of your comfort zone. But that's what I love about Tiffany's books. She challenges her readers with her stories. She tries to get them to withhold judgment. And, trust me, with this book, you'll be tempted to judge—Mona for her decisions and Malcolm for his acts.

That said, if you love art (which is used so well in this book), graphic (and lots of!) sex, and using your imagination, you will LOVE this book.

I was nuts over this book—the first 75% of it. After that, I stumbled a bit over the plot, which really yanked me out of the world I had been immersed in. The end answered many of the questions you wonder while reading, but it still left me wanting more. I'd leave my questions/comments here, but I don't want to give anything away. Its best to go into this book without any idea of what you'll be experiencing.

Pre-75%, I would've given this book 10 stars. Post-75%, 4 stars. In the end, it deserves 5. This book made me stretch and, in my opinion, those are the best kind of books.

4.5 Willing to Take The Risk Stars
* * * * 1/2 Spoiler Free
When I read Tiffany Reisz, something deep inside compels me to open my mind and allow the story to take me where Ms. Reisz wishes to go...I think it is as simple as that...For with this endeavor, I have gone places I never would have gone on my own. It is the crafting, weaving and hints of what this is all about which kept me interested...

Oh, there was a bit of unusual circumstances for our Mona Lisa St. John...Raised by a very forward and free thinking mother...always surrounded by true art, those who lived it and... all of the stories of how her wondrous mother acquired her Art pieces...some tales so outlandish, Mona never was quite sure what was real or exaggerated.

We find ourselves with Mona worrying about all the loans that are due for payment. Times have not been profitable for awhile now at this Infamous Gallery, The Red. Back in the day, it was notorious for having amazing shows, special erotic art by invitation only and a place to be seen...

But now things are different. Mona's mother was struck with cancer; the time Mona had left with her mother was hard going and took most of the funds. Mona loved her mother dearly...felt lucky to have had her and all of the life lessons she gave...So when her mother made her promise on her deathbed not to let The Red go... to hold on to it by any means necessary...

She was in a perfect head space to do just that...
To hold on...
To do whatever it took to keep The Red....

As Mona is contemplating how she can stretch what funds she has...She see a man standing in the Gallery looking at a small painting with a discerning eye...He is quite the vision himself... Masculine, robust and impressive... a quiet strength which became impossible to ignore the moment he looked directly at Mona.

Mona greeted him as if he was just another man who had an interest in art... This was nothing new...only the electricity in the air was startling and caused Mona to regard this stranger more carefully...

This man seems to see and know how tenuous Mona's hold is on The Red...He lays out a very specific offer to Mona...and with the love she had for her mother coupled with the deep calling and affection Mona personally had for The Red...

She does not reject this outrageous offer out right...She is drawn to the way this man speaks and takes her in with his eyes...She thinks of her mother's independent ways and open sexuality...
And she cannot let go of her Deathbed promise...

To do whatever it takes to keep The Red....

Terms and conditions are agreed...Mona has entered into a no holds barred arrangement with this man...To be his Sexual plaything for a year...in exchange, Mona will receive valuable Master Paintings and Artwork which will save The Red.

We go on this unusual journey with Mona...All of these encounters with this mysterious man have this other worldliness and Mona is shocked every time with her willingness to to taken over, suspend her disbelief to accept what is happening...For she is becoming addicted to these times when he comes to her with very specific scenarios in mind.

This is not a lighthearted tale... this is a tale of extreme sexuality...nothing vanilla, nothing run of the mill...But then when would Reisz ever do that... My heads up to the potential reader is be prepared to not be prepared...It may sometimes feel like it may have gone off the rails...But hold on as all of it comes together with everything being revealed.

I admit it...I think I must be Tiffany Reisz' Bit@h....because this done by anyone else would not have be my jam...But with the style, mind meld of Reisz... I wanted to follow it all the way to the end.

~~~~~ Before Reading ~~~~~
Oh to be back in the throes of Tiffany Reisz...
Doing what she does so well...
Making a Vanilla Gal turn Very, Very Naughty....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tiffany Reisz will forever be in my mind
As the creator of the Original Sinners...
From the first introduction to Nora Sutherlin...
An erotic author with a private life full of the forbidden for Vanilla Readers...

We have never been the same...

Because Ms. Reisz' talent is beyond compare...
She has the ability to take us places...
Have us experience things we would never contemplate...
And beg for more...

Ms. Reisz' career has expanded...
She has ventured successfully in other avenues of writing....

But Ah....
She has decided to give us a taste...
A tease back to maybe her first love....

Because coming to us is a piece presented as if it is written by Nora Sutherlin...
It promises to have all the passion, raw sexuality, brutal honesty....
And compelling romance at the heart of it...

Once again, I am all a flutter and cannot wait for....

This is labeled a “Fantasy” but Mona isn’t sure if her involvement with Malcolm is reality or fantasy. She will do what it takes to save her mother’s art gallery and if that means submitting to Malcolm then how hard could it be when he is devastatingly handsome.

There is constant suspense and mystery that is intertwined with all of the extremely erotic encounters of Mona and Malcolm. I initially thought Malcolm was real, then a fantasy, then real and I kept going back and forth wondering. That kept me turning pages to find out what was the outcome of this mystery.

I am a fan of Tiffany Reisz’ books ever since I read the wonderful THE HEADMASTER. She is a wonderful storyteller and there is no one better at writing erotic sex scenes. This is a romance even if not the usual vanilla type. If you are at all squeamish about BDSM, then you will want to skip this one. However the story is compelling enough so that you will like it anyway.

She is the expert in seduction! I really loved this book and its main character " This is an uncommon story, the tone is dynamic, the writing is frank We identify ourselves with the clients quite easily, much less to our expert. The book is really worth it. Must read!

Oh, My!!
Erotically Fabulous.
Loyal fans of Tiffany Reisz will love The Red.
Tiffany is brave and fearless in her writing and some of the acts in a couple of the scenes very rarely appear in other erotica novels, that said, some people reading Tiffany's work for the first time may feel a little uncomfortable. Me, I lapped it up, devoured it and I want more!

Mona St. James in dire need of money to save her gallery from closing. Thinking of possible ways on how to come up with it left her tired and spent, that Mona decided to head home and call it a night. Just when she’s about to lock the gallery, Mona noticed a man in front of a painting, studying it. After several minutes the mysterious man turned to look at Mona and bluntly told her that he can help to solve her financial problem in exchange of intimate rendezvous, at least once or twice a month.

“You know I’m not a prostitute, yes? She asked.

“Not yet. But I think you’ll make a fine whore.”

Without so much thought, no matter how absurd it is, Mona found herself agreeing to Malcolm’s proposal.

“Excellent, just what I’ve been wanting to hear for a very long time. We’ll start tomorrow night.”

“So soon?”

Here begins the sensual fantasy of Mona in the hands of a mysterious man named Malcolm.

When you read a book by Tiffany Reisz every scene is like a “no holds barred”. Everything is completely unrestrained! Just when you thought she won’t write it because it’s too steamy, too sensual, erotic, brace yourself because you will be reading it without any apology. That’s why I like this author!

The Red will simply leave you breathless with scenes that are best described as sizzling. Hands down to the imagination of this writer to create a scene solely from paintings of a well-known artist. I tremendously enjoyed this well-written, kinky-paranormal-romance-historical, standalone. If you want to stimulate your carnal desires, and discover how good the author is, I highly recommend this book!

Only when I read Tiffany Reisz, do I end up spending half of my reading time staring at paintings at or scanning through classic literature to fully understand references. The smartest smut around. The sex, the erotica, is secondary in a tiffany reisz novels. At this point I barely even notice the sex (and there is sooo much). It's about what is between the lines. The amazing development of characters and story. She makes you want to be friends with even the worst of them... Makes you wish you WERE THEM ! The book I've spent years wanting to read, The Red come to life

Half way into the book... After the riding crop, after the riding boots and the counting and love and pain and pleasure.... It reoccurred to me that this is from the heart and soul of Nora Sutherland. This is Soren and King... This is Nora's experience as a mistress, all poured into this novel and into each encounter with Malcolm. Suddenly, I was not watching Mona and Malcolm, but Nora and Soren... and the encounter becomes all the more beautiful. Ms. Reisz has done it again.
Let me start by saying this was another fabulously well-crafted story by Tiffany Reisz, and a thoroughly enjoyable read. It was so good, I read it almost entirely in a single sitting.

I read this book before reading any other reader reviews. I read it on the strength of Tiffany Reisz's other books, with only the brief book description as background. Based on having read the Original Sinners series, I was not expecting the paranormal elements of this book. I enjoyed the paranormal twist, I was just somewhat surprised in my expectations - which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

The erotic scenes were top-notch, as always. But it's the story telling that sets Tiffany Reisz apart from other erotic fiction writers. Reisz manages to pack some truly steamy scenes into a genuinely interesting story, rather than the other way around. For those who've only dipped a toe into erotic fiction by reading the recent big-selling series' mainstream readers have heard about, I would highly recommend Tiffany Reisz' books as an excellent modern example of the genre.

Without spoiling any of the details, the story of The Red follows a young gallery owner who agrees to an indecent proposal in order to save her failing business in accordance with her mothers' dying wish. The whirlwind of the central romance starts there, and incorporates themes of fine art history, classical history, gender roles and stereotypes, and also how family history can define/affect a person. Throughout the book, Mona, the protagonist, seems increasingly removed from reality. This is highlighted by the paranormal elements that become apparent as the book goes on. Without spoiling the ending, I would say that Reisz found an elegant solution that I'm sure will keep readers happy.

I would highly recommend this stand-alone book to fans of erotic fiction, or those interested in reading something in the genre.

Hot, steamy, erotic. Some taboo subjects but a fairly decent read

I've always been a fan of Tiffany so when I got wind of this book I was THRILLED to say the least. Her work has always taken erotic to a different level with it's grey areas for the reader to fantasize on their own. This book was different from her others; it was explicit it ways her other volumes of work simply were not-- but this is far from a complaint. It was refreshing to experience her twists and paranormal experiences with history and present day life. Making art, something that unites people from across the world, a central part of this work was something I'd love to see more of. When an author can take their fiction and incorporate parts things that actually exist in our world, it makes a connection. You feel like you understand the story and the characters on a deeper level. I would definitely recommend this book and will be purchasing it for a friend!

This book started off a little shaky, got better, then quickly headed off towards fantasyland, regained its realistic footing towards the end, then had a very rushed ending. I loved this author's writing style and appreciated the unique twist in this book, but only liked bits and pieces of this story, overall.

◆ The erotic scenes were incredibly sexy, well-written, and well-spaced.

◆ This book is perfect for erotica readers who enjoy a bit of mythology, art history, and erotic role-playing scenes!

So I have to admit that I didn't think I would like fantasy erotica. And truthfully, it's not what I would pick off the shelf if I was given options.

That said, this book was incredible.

Mona and Malcolm re-enact various scenes from paintings. The arrangement starts because she needs the money, and he wants her. The bulk of the book is the sex that they have inspired by the paintings. And wow, is that well written or what. I was blown away by the imagery that Reisz evokes with her words. We're right there, in the most erotic of scenes with the characters. Each one, a telling of the painting as well as a sex act. (The author clearly knows her art works).

It ends on a happy note, although happiness in this book is not the romance genre endings that I'm more familiar with. The characters will sexually satisfy each other, so that's a good thing. And I'm not quite sure why the last character is introduced, I think I didn't quite get the explanation.

But for all of you who like erotica and fantasy, this is exceptional in the genre. For those of you who've never tried it, I would give this book high recommendation. I can't imagine executing on this genre better than this book did.

I loved reading the fabulous and awesome erotic fantasy written by the wonderfully talented Tiffany Reisz. I voluntarily reviewed a copy through NetGalley.
Mona St. James is trying desperately to keep her deceased mother's art gallery open. When Mona is about to give up on the gallery, a handsome English stranger, Malcom, walks in offering to save her gallery. Malcom's proposition is for Mona to submit to him for a year in exchange for his help. Mona finds herself in unbelievable erotic fantasies and can't help but fall for the mysterious man who promises to disappear from her life in a year.
Read the highly recommended and a mesmerizing and spellbinding story-line.

3.5 "Planned Fate" Stars

Yes I realize that Planned Fate is an oxymoron. However, this book was very conflicting to me too. I couldn't quite figure it out. So much so that during the 1st 80% of the book, I was not a fan. At times, I was wondering if I was reading the same book other people were.

The writing... off the charts. Very detailed extremely Kinky sex... throughout the entire book. But we expect that from the great Tiffany Reisz. Yeah there was a great puzzle for me to figure out, But the story... not buying it.

Now don't get me wrong. The 2 main characters were great. I liked their interactions. There was the perfect amount of introspection & action. The story kept my attention somewhat. I just wasn't invested. Then about 80% of the way thru it clicked!

While the book was chock full of delicious kinky sexual encounters, it wasn't until that last couple of chapters that I found the connection I was missing from the beginning.

Then, That. Ending...
Boom!

I’m prolly about to go off the reservation a little here so the nutshell version is, if you like erotica and/or Reisz’s writes, you’ll like this. If you’re a fan of neither then this isn’t the book for you.

As a fan of both, when I saw this little gem up on NetGalley I 1-clicked so hard my laptop threw me shade. The page said “read now” and I took that shit like a directive. I might’ve even saluted.

True, The Red has been on my radar for a few months now so that may have played a role in the zeal. *shrugs* I don’t always read Reisz’s non-OS works but this one caught my eye first with the cover then the blurb. There’s something alluring about the ‘sacrificing oneself for art’ theme that never fails to appeal to me. It worked for me in The Dark Collector, The Monuments Men and again here.

Mona is in debt up to her eyeballs and losing her mother’s gallery, The Red, is a very real possibility until a mysterious Englishman appears one night with an offer too good to refuse. He’ll give her the means to save the gallery if she agrees to become his whore one night a month for a year.

One of my all time favorite movies is The Wings of the Dove. The story itself is heartbreaking, yes, but the inherent emotional honesty gets me every time, though the stunning cinematography and performances don’t hurt. Their actions and reactions are a product of the repressed society in which they live and ultimately those actions end up destroying them; however, there is one scene where Kate and Milly invade the sanctity of the backroom of a library where the illicit books are kept and only men are allowed. All the men are aghast at their impropriety and they laugh at their mini-rebellion.

I think people will be aghast at this book too and that’s what makes me like it even more. At times reminiscent of the Beauty series and The Story of O, both of which are fodder for an untold number of women’s fantasies, The Red is first and foremost erotica like its scandalous predecessors. It’s only recently that either author revealed themselves which shows the tide is turning. Somewhat. Though I still think people disparage erotica for being doltish nonsense, erotica readers for being vacuous and erotica writers as being smut peddlers without substance. So kudos to Reisz for not only writing under her own name but embracing titillation for titillation’s sake, fantasy for fantasy’s sake and female desire for female desire's sake all of which are exactly what The Red is.

”You won’t do anything perverse to me?”

“I’ll do everything perverse to you. But you still shouldn’t be afraid.”

From the beginning the story is driven by the bargain struck between Mona and Malcolm, a business transaction. She should find becoming his whore insulting but doesn’t. What happens through their encounters is Mona comes face to face with desires, perversions and depravity she’d never even considered at the hands of a stranger. She does love Malcolm. How could you not love the rakehell? But I don’t think she’s ‘in love’ with him, more with what he’s made her into than anything else. There are some conversations and we learn something of them both along the way but by and large their currency is sex and kink. And through their assignations Mona comes into her own, embraces her sexuality and comes to the conclusion that she’s not going to settle for someone who doesn’t wholly value her, kinks and all.

The diversity of their assignations is what I liked best. The Red is spank bank material and just like everyone has their favorite scenes dogeared in the Beauty series or O the depravity is plentiful so if one doesn’t suit, just keep on going to the next one! You're sure to find one that'll turn you inside out. The Reisz trademark witty repartee is present and accounted for as is her always surprising storytelling. She actually stuck a little romance in there as well as her characteristic plot twist. The way she played with the whole Mona Lisa thing in different ways made me smile too.

I would say that I’d like a follow up but by the same token I think if she left it as is I’d be just as happy. With my dogeared sections.

Recommend to erotica fans.

Received from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

3.5 stars for keeping me entertained long enough after jarring me a little.

Some spoilers.

The premise of " The Red" is centered around Mona, a young woman who's trying to save her art Gallery " The Red" from completely going under in England which she needs 500k to do so. It was a promise she made to her mother on her deathbed. A mysterious gentleman Malcolm offer her a deal to help save her Art Gallery by paying her in paintings that supposed to add up to 500K exchange for doing what he wants to do with her body aka " Carte Blanche" in the back of her Gallery for a year. Every sexaul encouter their had was based off a famous painting. As their sexual encounters gets more intense, so do her openness to try new things and her feelings for him.

I was intrigued to read this because I keep seeing this one around GR. This is my first time reading errotica from this author and maybe my last. I feel like it should have been more plot and little less sex to me cause you had a great premise going with her trying to save the Galley. I really liked Mona and Malcolm's intellectual talks about the art cause it felt that it just didn't want her for her body but also her brain but they kind of got drown out towards the middle. The book also started off funny as sensual but they got lost as well. One thing that was a turnoff for me was the full BDSM scene in the middle book. I was not turn off about it because it was a BDSM scene because she wrote it very well. ( Better than E.L James would.)

The fact this was most def not my first time reading errotica so everything that was in this book was not surprise to me at all. Honestly I was laughing at some of their sexual encounters and was almost bored to tears with one of them.I was laughing my ass off with the Nymph and Satyr orgy party while was bored to tears with the Minotaur Sacrifice one cause I read better. Also the line of consent was very burred on that one as well. I was turn off by it because before that Malcolm and Mona's painting theme sexual encounters was kind of tame and felt jarring to me. It didn't feel like a gradual descent to full BDSM. You can't have regular (well a little extreme with a bottle) sex with a little slapping on the breast in one encounter, to a little exhibitionism with her thinking she was being sold to someone but it was actually him another, to freaking orgy party in another, to straight out full BDSM with a riding chop and her going straight up submissive mode with him saying kind words as hit her 100 times without gradual descent of her going into the world of BDSM. That scene would have been better towards the end of her encounters with him and not the middle.

Then after that their sexual encounters become on the lines of taboo and little dubious which doesn't shock me at all. The ending was kind of strange but manageable. All in All it was enough to keep me entertained not to dnf it after it started off very strong.

Tiffany Reisz writes like no other. Her work is erotic with a purpose. There's meaning behind everything. While scandalous, her books are intelligent. They turn you on and make you think. It's rare to get both.
The Red is no different. From the moment I met Mona, I adored her. She's in trouble, needs to save her art gallery. And in walks Malcolm. He's sexy, confident, loves art and women. He makes Mona an offer she doesn't want to refuse.
I felt what she did as the journey went along. I fell in love with Malcolm, too. Every scene was breathtaking, even the ones that weren't easy. I was certain that there was no way for a happy ending, but I was wrong. I loved it and I want more. I'd love to know what else happens to Mona.

Seductive, Sensual and Arousing!

This was my first book by Tiffany Reisz and I really loved her writing style. Erotica for me can be so hit and miss but this story had the right mix of mystery, intrigue and debauchery.

Set around an art gallery called “The Red”, readers are taken on a journey through the world of erotic art and the stories behind the paintings. Currently owned and managed by Mona Lisa St. James, The Red is in literally in the red with its debts spiralling out of control. When a mysterious visitor to the gallery makes Mona an offer to save the gallery from financial ruin, she finds herself questioning how far she is prepared to go to save her beloved gallery.

Malcolm is your typical libertine in this story as he takes Mona on a sexual journey by bringing famous works of art to life. By reenacting the scenes from well-known paintings before each visit, which appear via bookmarked pages in books left on her desk, Mona questions her morality as each scene becomes more and more obscene and at times emotionally troubling. Malcolm is an enigma and only appears to Mona every month or so but these sporadic visits just further heighten Mona’s expectations and appreciation of her own body and mind. After each visit by Malcolm, he bequeaths a piece of artwork to Mona which will help her to save her gallery but on the understanding that provenance will only be relinquished at the end of 12 months. As the months' pass, Mona finds herself partaking in more and more undoubtedly highly erotic but questionable scenes. Despite her fears and hesitancy though, Mona develops trust for Malcolm and whilst love is never on offer, lust more than makes up for the absence of romance.

This story twists and turns through amorous encounters but despite its open and graphic sexuality, the story’s mystery and intrigue keeps your attention right until the very last page. The writing is strong and the storytelling fascinating and whilst the story may not be to everyone’s liking, those who enjoy raw and revealing sexual acts combined with a thought-provoking tale will definitely want to read and experience The Red.

Oh, My friggin god !!!! I'm not quite sure where to start with this review, perhaps with a disclaimer that if you have a weak constitution maybe put this book down now as the Red is likely to give you a bleeding heart attack with its dubiously delectable content.
ME!!! well, bring on the coronary because this book man, what a way to go!!
But seriously if you're easily offended or a bit of a novice to the erotica genre, you might want to start your journey with something a little less hard-core, as The Red Is not a novel with romantic lovey-Dovey phrases or lame-ass cliches.
It was so refreshing that it called a spade a spade!!!
no cutesy words, just plain tell it as it is loved that.
This for me was one of the biggest reasons this gets a big smokin thumbs up from me.
and I can honestly say I have never quite read anything like this before, The Red has an almost mythical surreal quality to some of its happenings, with its play on famous works of art and nymphs and minotaurs.
I hadn't had the delight of experiencing Tiffany Reisz's work before so this was a first for me, First but will not be the last time now I have discovered the voice of this unique author.
The Red's Storyline is simple, Mona Lisa St James needs to save her late mother's Art Gallery and she's practically broke.
Enter Malcolm her mysterious saviour who offers to pay Mona in very expensive art in return for carte-blanche when it comes to her body.
whatever he wishes, he gets, once a month for a year, after that he will disappear from her life forever and Mona will have the means to save the gallery.
The tale then takes us through every encounter, each one different, some more depraved than others but each encounter will make you squirm with its lack of modesty and the sheer corruption in Malcolm's every action.
I loved the way the story unfolded and I would say this was more of a delicious debasement than a romance, a debasement that our girl Mona embraced and welcomed wholeheartedly as The Red draws to its inevitable conclusion.
It's quite obvious to the reader that Malcolm has a hidden agenda which becomes more apparent to Mona as the story unfolds
Quite frankly hidden agendas, in my opinion, are all well and good but honestly, I was just counting the seconds to Mona and Malcolm's next session Take 1, Take 2 Take 3 could go on and on here sigh.
Well anyway, I really enjoyed The Red and would happily recommend it to my fellow perverts all that's left is for me to profusely thank the publisher and NetGalley for allowing me to read an advanced reader copy of this novel by Tiffany Reisz, this is an unbiased reflection of said novel.

Yowzers! This book was HOT. From the very beginning I was sucked into this erotic dream world and hoped I'd never wake up. I flipped pages so quickly, I needed to know what was happening. Tiffany sure knows how to keep me wanting.

**Holy freaking smut. ** I love this cover so much it hurts. This book was crazy good until about 73%, then it took a kinda weird turn and I almost tapped out, but I kept at it and man, I am glad I held on for that wild ride.

This story follow a gal name Mona who owns a Art Gallery that is floundering when a man shows up and offers her a way out, she did make a promise to her mother on her death bed to do ANYTHING to keep the gallery. She takes her death bed oaths serious, to the next level serious. I don't want to give to much away, but use your imagination and multiply it.....

Tiffany Reisz is one of my all time favorite authors, and I couldn't wait to get my hands on The Red. When it landed on my kindle, I more than squealed in joy. My mind was blown, the amount of steam left me breathless, and I could not put this book down! It was simply brilliant, and Tiffany Reisz blew this book out of the water. The Red was absolutely incredible, A sweet and immensely raw erotic tale that was raunchy to the very core!

I have mixed feelings about The Red. There were a lot of things that I liked about this book and some things I didn't like.

I liked the paranormal element. It is clear quite early on that Malcom is not a mere human and it was fun trying to guess who he is and what is really happening. There is a dream-like, hallucinatory quality to Mona's and Malcom's meetings which gives the book a unique feel. Every sexual encounter is inspired by a classical painting and the scenes from each painting are recreated between Mona and Malcom. I found it very interesting. I like art but I am not very knowledgeable about it. Some of the paintings I knew and some I didn't, so I googled a few of them and it helped me to imagine the scenes. Every time a book teaches me something new I am very happy.

I wasn't comfortable with some of the sexual acts. I found some of them a little disturbing and dark even though they were sort of consensual. I am not a stranger to erotica but this book pushed my boundaries. Also I didn't love the ending. The introduction of the third important character came too late in the story, it felt forced and the ending was rushed.

I love everything this author writes. Reisz is an auto buy for me becuase all her work is so unique. This particular book was hot and filthy and just amazing. It was fantasy and romance and the most erotic sex scenes, maybe even more erotic than her sinners series though. Nora is still my absolute favorite heroine of all time. I adored Mona and her erotic awakening. I loved the inclusion of art and using different art within their lovemaking. The nymph and satyr scene was my favorite (hehe). I can't wait to see what Reisz writes next, maybe it will be another "Nora Southerlin" book? 😉

Bizarre. Sexy. And oddly funny. I was waiting in anticipation of the Tiffany Reisz plot twist and of course The Red doesn't disappoint. :) From the mind of Nora Sutherlin, right? I could totally see Nora reading this out loud to Søren.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!

Ms Reisz does it again. What a wonderful story. Plenty of the sinister, naughty bits that we love her for. This story was amazing and I hated for it to end. Malcom was amazing. Loved the story so much!! Unique storyline and nothing like I've ever read.

I have read Tiffany Reisz before and again she did not disappoint with this novel.
Mona has just lost her mother and is in danger of losing her living too as the gallery her mother owned is is a financial crisis.
That is until Malcolm comes in to her life, a mystery man with an offer to save the gallery and the offer of more money to continue. The transaction for this? Mona.
He's attractive, she likes him so what could be so bad.Carte blanche is his deal.

What transpires is a year of experiences when Malcolm visits on a monthly to six weekly basis. The sex scenes are steamy and hot and as usual from this author quite inventive.
Malcolm leaves a book of art which he make the page of the next scene they will act out. Although described, you instantly find yourself googling to see the image of the picture to assist in the build up to the encounter.
There are scenes of group sex but Malcolm assures Mona these are images he sees and therefore she sees. So is she drugged? Is this all in Monas imagination? You are left wondering throughout but all is revealed at the end.

The book is such that you do not want to put it down, keen to know Malcolms secret and where this will leave Mona.
If anything the ending is rather more abrupt than I would have liked but the pieces do slot together.
You will need a fan when reading this the scenes are so hot.
A real page turner and a good story.
Thanks to Netgalley, the author and publisher for a ARC in return for an honest review.

Ok, the title kinda says it all and if you enjoy this trope then this book is definitely one you will love. ‘Bad Boy’s Fake Wedding’ by Lexi Whitlow is exactly what it says, a bad boy turned good and needs a wife to help him out so instead of spending looking for the real thing which he thinks won’t happen he chooses to opt for a fake bride. Regardless of what I’ve said and what this book is called it is a great 4 star read.

Lexi Whitlow manages to make this an interesting and entertaining read with great characters and great writing. This book tells the story of reformed bad boy Liam who in order to get his daughter back he will do anything to make that happen. So when the idea is formed to have a wife that will give the appearance of a stable relationship and good family environment that is exactly what he sets out to find. However, he doesn’t need to go far to find the perfect girl to be his wife.

Skye has no idea what she sets in motion by walking into Liam’s bar and that she might just have found the perfect guy to help with her situation too. This friends with benefits story just might turn into something much deeper.

Both main characters were really likeable and relatable which made it much easier to read and enjoy. The chemistry between the two of them was blatant from the start and has you wanting so much more for both of them. The struggle that Liam has to go through to try and get his daughter back has you emotionally engaging with his character and feeling so much for his situation.

I happily recommend this book and will be looking out for what Lexi Whitlow has in store for us next.

Mona St. James is in trouble. Her art gallery, “The Red”, inherited from her mother, is facing dire financial straits with little hope for the future. She has just about decided it would have to close, when a mysterious man enters and proposes a solution. In return for saving The Red Mona must promise to submit to him for a full year, doing anything he desires. His proposal includes the promise that Mona will enjoy most of it as well…but not all.

It’s a good setup for an erotic novel but in the hands of Tiffany Reisz, the novel shines. We might expect that a series of erotic encounters will follow and indeed they do. They are as hot as can be, titillating, erotic, and intriguing to be sure. Tiffany Reisz fans will know what to expect. But the story behind these encounters is what ties it all together and prevents it from being simply one sizzling scene after the next. While mysterious at the beginning, the story turns to erotic fantasy along the way and the ending provides a very satisfying resolution to the previous events. If you like a good story and good characters along with your erotic action, then look no further than this stand-alone novel.

I promised to give a fair and honest review in return for being given this ARC. Somewhere on the internet, if you search for "dark eroticism" there will be a picture of this book, I am quite certain. If you have any reserves of a sexual nature DO NOT BUY this book. If however, you are inquisitive and open minded then by all means, do buy it. Those people will enjoy it immensely.

This is a fantasy combining fine art, well known art, and lots of sex. The art is a prelude to each sexy chapter, a hint for the heroine.
Sex and art have been intertwined for millenia, thus the term erotic art, but this is the first story I have read that literally interwines them as a plot device. I found myself stopping to look up some of the pieces and imagined how beautiful this could be presented as a glossy full color print book.
Unfortunately, the story does falter toward the end; it wraps up quickly and crudely, not completely disappointingly but not as gracefully as even the most disturbing earlier scenes.
And there is dark, disturbing sex. It is written so well however that even though I was partly repulsed, I was also entranced as was the heroine, Mona.
There are a couple of words I find offensive which are used here, one is a crude term for female anatomy and the other is whore. I know it has its place, it is even used appropriately, but it is not a term of endearment and it is not respectful. I really hate it. The characters are not bothered by it but it still repulses me when I read it. Used as it is in the final scene it is inappropriate and just crude.
The final scene is not at all convincing which is why I dropped a star. It is a rushed, crude, rape scene trying to be what? A rushed crude rape scene.

Sinfully hot, artistically erotic, exactly what I trusted Tiffany Reisz to captivate with.

Mona Lisa St. James- it seemed funny when I first met the character, her name tied in art, but decidedly fitting for an art lover.

“Millions of paintings in this world. Only one Mona Lisa. Billions of women in this world. Only one you, Mona Lisa St. James.”

Mona strives to keep her mother's precious art gallery thriving, capable of doing anything for a promise made. Where fate meets fantasy, Mona is predestined to live to her name, not so much a lady but a dirty lover.
The Red- named befittingly: Red and hot as the devil, also the color of love, of passion, of dazzlingly oblivion, of sacrifice.
Amazingly constructed around 11 paintings, infamously depicting scenes which awaken the chimerical, the story brings about a new world of devilishly lovers' encounters.

"The devil doesn't smile," he said. "The devil smirks."

A captivating reading, not only by its steamy romance, but by the enchanting harmony between reality and fantasy.

This is without a doubt the best book I've read in a very long time. Tiffany Reisz has been one of my favorite authors, even though one of her more recent works didn't do much for me. But she is back to form 100% with this one! Wow! This book has it all. The characters are interesting, the interactions are HOT, the plot is full of intrigue, and most of all, it is SO imaginative, it makes me positively giddy.

The backdrop of a gallery on thin ice is right up my alley as an artist. I can relate. But boy oh boy, I wish my art studies had been this fascinating! I'd certainly have paid attention better in Art History classes, that's for sure.

I have always appreciated it when an author researches things well for a book rather than just coming up with a rehashed plot with names and professions changed, but basically the same book over and over. But there is NOTHING boilerplate about Ms. Reisz's work, and this book is especially terrific. It's not a book for sissies though. And it will keep you guessing and thinking right up to the very end.

Kudos for writing such a great story. And thank you, NetGalley, for letting me read an ARC in exchange for my review. The pleasure was all mine.

Mona's mom recently died and Mona now owns/runs her beloved art gallery. The Red.
But with all the medical costs and the debts of the gallery, Mona probably won't be able to stay in business - even though it's the one thing she had to promise her mother on her deathbed.

Enter Malcom. He's a hot mysterious stranger who's suddenly standing in the gallery with an offer Mona can't refuse. Well, she could, but she's intrigued - and she definitely needs what he's offering: priceless art to save the gallery!

Thus starts one year of amazingly erotic pleasure for Mona - and priceless artsy pleasure for her gallery!

But who is Malcom? Where did he come from? Why is he doing this?
WHAT THE EVERLOVING HELL IS HAPPENING? ☺☺☺

That's what this reader was asking herself all through the book!
I didn't really know what to expect when I started the book - it said EROTIC FANTASY! And I'm not really a fan of anything paranormal, so in any other case I probably wouldn't have read it, BUT it also said Tiffany Reisz, so there was no question at all whether I was going to read it or not. ☺

And I loved it!
It's so unbelievably erotic! Phew!!! Holy potato! Those were some sinfully sexy encounters!!

Full of mystery, mythology, role-play, ménages, art history ... hardcore porn. ☺

Every chapter was named after the painting that would inspire the upcoming 'session' with Malcom - and I always googled those pictures to see how the scene was supposed to look! ☺

It was all soo mysterious! Who the hell is Malcom? Where did he come from? Dare we ask WHEN did he come from??? And what is his ultimate goal??

Please read this book! Yes, it's so very different from those usual sexy New Adult romances, but you'll love the extreme sexiness and mysteriousness and artsy-ness of this lovely little story! I sooo did! But of course it won't be for anyone. It's extremely - almost over-the-top - erotic. Too much for some to handle. ;) But Tiffany, or rather, Nora, wrote it, so we have to love it! And I did.

Another amazing #MustRead by Tiffany Reisz! Extremely & sinfully erotic & intriguingly mysterious!!!! ☺

"Old enough to know better, young enough to do it anyway."

I can't deny that I'm a Tiffany Reisz fan. I might blush while reading, but I don't stop reading. It's a guilty pleasure that I don't intend to give up anytime soon.

The Red is not like anything I've previously read by this author. Honestly, I didn't even read the synopsis before I grabbed it. I just love her wit and passion and I figured whatever it was about was okay with me. At least until I started reading and got to my first WTF? and decided to go back and read the blurb to see what the hell I'd gotten myself into. I struggled to determine what genre I was reading, well, except for the erotic part. I had no trouble at all with that (wink-wink).

While I might not have knowingly gone in that direction, I couldn't stop reading once I started. I was very intrigued to find out where it was going and I needed my questions answered. And let me tell you, that was the best part. I turned the last page with a smile on my face.

If you are already a fan of this author, you won't be disappointed. If you haven't tried her yet, you might be shocked, but I bet you don't stop reading either. Bring it on Tiffany, you write it, I'll read it. The line forms here...

This was my first book by the author. I've heard great things but I had never read any of her work yet. Admittedly, I found the story somewhat strange as it developed, but it was well written. Mona was a character I wanted to like but had a hard time with as time went on. The plot was entertaining but reached a point near the end where it just became too much. I finished the book but started to lose interest 3/4 through it. Overall I enjoyed the experience but have to admit that the story itself was a little strange.

If you are avid fan of this author's work, like I am, you know you can expect two things.
1) Something deeply erotic.
2) Something completely original.

Initially, this book starts off like several other romances I've read, where a man has a proposition for a woman that is centered on sex. But that's where the similarities end. The arrangement made between Mona and Malcolm is usually not only because of the timeframe, with midnight meetings only once a month, or less. But also because these meetings are deeply set in fantasy, with specific acts inspired by famous works of art.

I will tell you up front, I recommend that this book be read behind closed doors. I guarantee that at least one scene will have you grabbing your vibrator, and lover of choice. If you've read the sinners series, you know that this author has the ability to create discomfort for her reader, with the balance of pain and pleasure, that may have you questioning the character's actions, yet still turning you on. No other author, that I've read, has the ability to do this.

"It's one thing to allow a man to pleasure you. It's quite another to allow him to hurt you. You'll know real powerlessness tonight, real fear, true pain. And I will drink it like wine."

With regards to originality, this book has it in spades. Why? Partly due to fantasy type scenes, but more so with where the story leads. Specifically, who is Malcolm? I had some theories along the way on where the story would lead, and they were all wrong.

As with any book from this author, go into this with an open mind. And prepare for a wild journey.

A dreamy, erotic journey through art and body, Mona pays the ultimate price order to save her mother's gallery. We're talking kink of the highest caliber. Tiffany Reisz proves that everything she crafts is both genius and pure magic.

Cold Shower required! Let's remember story is penned by Nora so as an Original Sinners fan it's even more exhilerating to read. Now in true Tiffany Reisz fashion we have Steamy, sexy and you're squirming wanting more and more. I find myself clutching my kindle. This story you really don't know where it's leading you. Deathbed promises , deals ,what's real what's fantasy. You are so enraptured along with Mona trying to figure out who is the elusive Malcolm, the how's the why's. The end was great I am a closer I love a great climax and this as though it went fast all comes together . You need to remember have fun enjoy the ride and keep an open mind. Loved it.

Tiffany is an amazing author. I am normally not a PN fan, however, if Tiffany wrote I have to read it. Tiffany lead me into another world. Took me on a journey through the years, had me looking up art in the internet. Tiffany just does that to me, always pulls me right in. . This was a must read for me, simply because of Tiffany and Nora Sutherland. That's all that had to be said in the description and I was sold.

This was beyond a sexy read, beyond erotic. The sex scenes were fascinating, completely stimulating. I found this story to just grab hold and not let go. I really did not want the book to come to an end. The descriptions of places, events, surroundings and characters were incredible. I totally could picture the book as I read it. The maze, the forest, and the jail, incredible.

These characters Tiffany created were so interesting, evolving, full of surprises. I was shocked and scared in a few scenes what would happen to Mona, but that's the beauty of Tiffany's work, that's what she does, that's why I love reading her books. I never know what to expect, and when to expect it. I usually finish a Tiffany book with a blown mind, and this is still true.
]

I completely loved Malcolm, his character was intense, sexy, and down right arrogant, and I loved him for it. Mona, was strong willed not afraid to be who she is and accept life journey. I must say I was a little disappointed that Malcolm was a dream, I so wanted him to be real. I would love to see where Mona's and Spencer life will go,

Will Malcolm come back for another visit now that he's back where he belongs???

Phenomenal book. I did not think Ms. Reisz could top anything Soren-related, but I think this is my favorite kink standalone novel. It read like a bedtime story...but not for kids. Sexy, intriguing, and somewhat otherworldly. This book is not for the faint of heart, as some of the sex scenes are intense (hello bottle) I loved it and would read and re-read it again!

Mona Lisa St James promised her mother that she would protect The Red on her deathbed. She's come to the point where she no longer knows how she can accomplish this. Enter a mysterious customer, Malcolm, who promises Mona he'll save the gallery, if she'll be his lover over the course of the next year. Despite the odd nature of his request, Mona is attracted to him and feels like this is something she can accomplish.

Now....all of the scenes were fairly erotic although I was flipping the pages like crazy trying to work out how Malcolm was recreating all these painting scenes in Mona's gallery. There were a few scenes that left me feeling a tad bit uncomfortable, but I'll leave those to be discovered on their own.

I enjoyed the book and the twist at the end I certainly didn't see coming. I was hoping for a bit more at the end to see how Mona's story full resolved, but it didn't dampen my enjoyment of the story at all.

The Red was a book that couldn't be put down, what I loved most was how you became part of the journey Mona took. There was many twists and turns and I honestly never saw the ending coming. I love how this was just a stand alone but how there is possibility for a novella maybe in the future. This is certainly not like other books the author has written but just as good. I liked the descriptions of the paintings and how you could imagine the paintings in your mind. A fab job well done.

Wow. That was highly erotic. I dare you to get through this book without needing some relief if you know what I mean. But some of the scenarios tested my comfort levels (the minotaur, fisting, etc.). They made me cringe a little, to be honest. But that's what Tiffany Reisz or rather her character, Nora Sutherlin, does. She likes to bulldoze boundaries.

Mona is the owner of The Red, an art museum handed down to her from her recently deceased mother. The Red is on the verge of bankruptcy and Mona vowed she would do anything to keep the doors open. That's when she meets Malcolm. They strike a deal and every six weeks or so they reenact an erotic scene from a painting. The story delves into the paranormal and taboo. And the ending left me wanting to know more.

I don't know if I can say I liked it but I was definitely riveted.

WARNING: Due to explicit sexual content, this story is for mature (18 and over) audiences only.

I would love to live in Tiffany Reiz's head if only for a day. The stories that this woman can churn out are nothing short but incredible (and undeniably sexy).

The Red is a beautifully captivating erotica story that will capture you from the very first pages, and keep you glued to your screen until you have finished. Ms.Reiz paints a very vivid picture with her writings, and in this case, drew inspiration from real life works of art to elevate the characters and their sexual exploits to a whole new level. The characters are complex, and their story is not a romance. It's a gritty narrative into letting go of yourself and experiencing levels of sexual fantasy that you never could have imagined.

Overall, I am certain this story will appeal to those who enjoy well-written erotica novels.

Step up to the line, then cross it. The Red : An Erotic Fantasy, will take you, turn you, and flip you over. It is the story of Mona Lisa St. James , who wants to save The Red, an art gallery, and Malcolm, who helps her. The story moves fast as Mona and Malcolm explore art, kinky sex, and mystery. The author gives us a likeable character in Mona, natural dialogue, and exposure to great artwork. Finally there is extra kinky sex, the kind that readers of Erotica will surely enjoy.

I'm a massive fan of the original sinners series and all other books I expect to disappoint. This one did everything but disappoint.

The Red is original, fast paced and erotic enough that I wish I had someone yo take a monthly break with. To quote an original sinners book, it's beco e my favourite one hand read. Hats (and anything else shed like) off to Tiffany Reisz for a superb book.

The Red is a very well composed erotic novel. It definitely has something for everyone,
We follow a woman who has to save her gallery, and accepts an offer from a man to have sex with him once a month, for a year, and in return he will save her gallery. Each time they have sexual encounters they make it a role play around different erotic paintings, and this is where the book differs from others I have read. There are so many different acts that everyone should find something in their liking throughout this story. Even the things I am not in to were still enjoyable to read because off the good wring. Thank you for a new experience!

Before we even open this book just take a moment to admire this gorgeous cover. It's super sexy without even trying, no over the top facial expressions, no hands in suggestive places, no man on the cover at all in fact. This book is a fantastic example of what I will call elegant/intelligent kink. I'm not really a connoisseur of erotica, but after reading this I think maybe I've just been reading all the wrong stories.
So, as our erotic adventure begins we meet Mona who's just realizing that the art gallery her mother left her, The Red, is sinking fast and this after she promised on her mother's deathbed she'd do anything to save it. "Ah wait, I know! I'll take that dark-eyed stranger up on his offer, my body for a year in exchange for $500,000!" And so begins their arrangement of very elaborate trysts. When I say elaborate I mean costumes, other players when the fantasy calls for them, and sometimes the bedroom isn't exactly where Mona left it.
As in most erotica I've come across there is a very evident S/M element, but unlike the other erotica I've read Mona is no naive virgin taken against her will until she likes it. Mona may not know much about S/M, but she's told exactly what she's agreeing to from the start, mostly. Each tryst is based on a painting that Malcolm picks out ahead of time which I really like the idea of since the "bedroom" is in the back of a gallery. The only encounter that I wanted to skim over was the caning, personally it's not for me and one hundred lashings sounds like a bit much. I can't go into much detail about the fantasy/paranormal elements because they are woven throughout the story and I don't want to give anything away other than to say that I loved them and they only made the book that much better. While this book may not appeal to all erotica fans it may be a door opener for those who want their paranormal romances a bit kinkier.

This novella was well written. It was reminiscent of Anne Rice's writing and it was refreshing to read something in that style when I haven't come across this type of Erotica in a long time. There was a magical realism touch to it--paranormal is not typically my thing, but I didn't mind it. This was my first read of a Reisz book and it won't be my last.

The Red by Tiffany Reisz is amazing! I was lucky to receive an advanced copy from Netgalley and I am so grateful, I really did enjoy this one. I will admit I picked this book because I absolutely loved the cover, this is the first time I am so glad to judge a book by its Amazing cover.
This book is extremely steamy so if you don’t want to spend one night reading a steamy romance novel start this book in the morning and just call out of work! This book also has an amazing appeal to those who love art, so if art and smutt is your cup of tea make a whole pot and enjoy.
Mona Lisa St. James is a young woman who makes a death bed promise to her mother to make sure she does anything she can to keep The Red open, the red being an art gallery that is failing. As Mona is contemplating how she can stretch what funds she has...She see a man standing in the Gallery looking at a small painting with a discerning eye...He is quite the vision himself... Masculine, robust and impressive... a quiet strength which became impossible to ignore the moment he looked directly at Mona. She greeted him as if he was just another man who had an interest in art... This was nothing new...only the electricity in the air was startling and caused Mona to regard this stranger more carefully.... The beautiful stranger speaks with Mona gives her a few subtle complements then gives her a proposition she can’t refuse. He asks her to be his whore for a full year. Ms. Reisz does a beautiful job with her words and chapter format, where each chapter is named after a piece of art that is beautifully described, what I loved was that each painting was also a hint of the sexual adventures that Mona will experience.
I don’t want to ruin this book for anyone so all I will say is that this is a lighthearted read the sexual scenes are nothing run of the mill, but I hope that this review encourages you to give this book a chance because my heads up isn’t to make anyone run but to be prepared for the unexpected! 5 red Stars from me!

Now that was a book to read!!! It was very descriptive and kept you in suspense. She is a very gifted writer. I felt like I was taken on a ride. You can picture very vividly the scenes and you question Malcolm's intentions a lot! I really did not know what I was getting myself into, but I would do it over again in a heartbeat!! Steamy..hot....scandalous!!!! Yes, please and thank you!! Worth the read come get on this train and I promise you won't get off or be disappointed!!

I received this ARC from the publisher via Net Galley for my honest review. Thank you Net galley!

Wow!! Holy hotness!!

Red started out a bit slow for me, the dialog between Mona & Malcolm sort of annoyed me in the beginning but I got a lot better as the book went on. It was definitely worth hanging in through the harder spots.

This was a very unique story and I really enjoyed the art aspect of it, that part got my full attention. Without giving something away, the only thing I can say is that I loved how she intertwined the paintings in the story and the actual story itself!

Overall I would give Red 3.75-4.00 stars!
