This is the best review I can give this book. I was struggling with one of the topics for prayer in this book. I received the copy of this book and went to the Table of Contents. There was a prayer for the topic that was heavy on my heart. I read this entry first and a felt as if I could now exhale. The prayer touched on everything I was confused about. It really was a Godsend. I read more and was just uplifted yet again. This book of prayers is a must have. No matter who you are or where you are we all need and need to pray. If you are not sure what to ask for when you pray, this book will guide you. Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the ARC of this book in return for my honest review.
Prayers for Difficult Times Women's Edition is one unbelievable book. One that is a book you have to get and add to your collection. This book is divided up by emotions, things that have happened to you like abuse, Etc and she goes into detail about it and how to get over it and prays with you. I cried because it touched a spot I thought was gone - closed off - grief - it is so impressive I truly loved this book.
I loved the organization of this book. You could easily look in the table of contents to find the prayers you are looking for to match what you are going through at the time. The table of contents lists the prayers by emotions and life events. There is defiantly something of everyone. This book would make a great gift. I highly recommend it. This was an excellent payer book to read through and defiantly one I will refer back to frequently.
I appreciated the introduction. Some readers may find it stereotypical. But I found I could relate to the explanation of women being more communicative and react differently to things than men. I found it to be very true to the differences between my husband and I. For me it is true that I tend to call a friend when I am struggling with something. This book reminds you that you should always go to God first.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book courtesy of NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
