Well over 5 Stars! Mary Morgan has done it again! The is an exceptionally well written story. It kept me always in the moment and at attention. This is a new series for this author - Legends of The Fennian Warriors.

Conn, has been in several of the stories in The Dragon Knight's series.

Conn is a legendary Fennian Warrior, who has been waiting to know his fate and punishment for bending the rules of the Fae Council and their King when he assisted the Dragon Knights in going up against evil. There are to be consequences for those actions. The Council go over his he past deeds and show him how a mistake, he unknowingly made, has altered a young woman's destiny. Conn had helped the wrong woman. The Council is now sending him back to the human world, present day, without his Fennian magic in order to change the timeline of the woman he failed. He has been given this final quest to help another. He cannot fail. This woman will definitely bring Conn to his knees.

Ivy Kathleen O'Callaghan has inherited from her Uncle property and a book store in Ireland. There are stipulations and she has determined to follow through with all of them. Repairs need to be made and she meets a very intriguing and handsome man, Conn MacRoich.

This story was so, so very good!! There is a lot of passion and drive. It is a Race Against Time to right the wrongs of the past. I received this as a gift and I just loved it!

Conn is one of three Fennian Warriors who assisted The Dragon Knight's. So, I really look forward to reading the next stories in this series.

What a magical romance. Enjoyed it from start to finish. I now have a new author to read.

Fans of this author will no doubt recall that Conn first made an appearance in Dragon Knights Sword which is part of the Order of the Dragon Knights series. This new series centres around the Fenian Warriors of the Fae but I thought starting with their Prince was a wonderful idea. Conn has cut himself off from his royal heritage and duties to fully embrace his role as a Fenian Warrior but sometimes fate has other ideas. As a male capable of stepping through the veil of time Conn has closed a Gate that separates the realms and as the story begins is called to account for his actions before the Council. Yet it's swiftly revealed that this isn't the first time he has broken the rules and his punishment is to go through to the human realm and try to set right that which his arrogance has made go awry.
Ivy is stunned to learn that she's inherited a home and business in Ireland but with nothing to hold her in the US it's too good to pass up. Plus she's always been prone to disturbing visions so perhaps a sleepy picture perfect village is the perfect place for her. Ivy quickly starts to realise that whilst her uncle was much loved by all his death might not have been completely accidental. Unsure who to trust Ivy reluctantly gets help from a gorgeous stranger to renovate her new home but is Conn being honest with her?
This strangely enough has quite a slow pace and if you are expecting action scenes then I fear you will be disappointed. It is though a lovely sprawling romance that doesn't rush but allows the couple to develop their relationship ar a realistic pace.
Ivy is human and has no idea about her heritage which is mentioned as the story draws to a close but I personally found that explanation of certain characters being hidden a little weak. What I did like was the way Ivy seemed to slot right in amongst those she met and there is a mystery to solve which puts Ivy in danger.
Conn is so protective and yet as a male who has been alive for centuries knows his mission to right the wrong he did to Ivy's ancestor is complicated. Getting close to Ivy causes him to experience feelings that are new and unsettling. Yet Conn does fall hard for Ivy with repercussions that he never expected!
So a lovely romance with magic that just flowed so lyrically. The settings are beautiful, the characters interesting and the story unexpected. Yes this went in a direction I hadn't considered but I particularly liked that we are left wondering what will happen next. There are characters from previous books and new ones too and I can easily see that the other Warriors will soon be stepping up with books of their own. This is my first book by this author but I'd happily hunt down her back catalogue . I'd recommend this to readers who have enjoyed books by Donna Grant as the settings and paranormal romance are very reminiscent

Conn MacRoich is a Fenian is a prince by birth and also a warrior who’s been guarding the realm between mortal and Fae for thousands of years. His deeds are legendary, but now he’s in trouble. Ivy O’Callaghan inherits her uncle’s book store and estate in Ireland from an uncle she never knew existed. She has no ties left since both of her parents have died and she decides to head to Ireland for a new beginning. She finds many mysteries involving her own past and her own destiny and she encounters a mysterious stranger to help her in Ireland. Their relationship developed over time, especially as Conn had to reveal is true past slowly to a female of the human race. Conn knew right away that he wanted to be with Ivy and was going to protect her at all costs. He knew Ivy could have the power over him to bring this ancient warrior to his knees. A great story with filled with mystery and secrets that could destroy and separate them forever.

Once again this author has penned a tale to sweep the reader to another time and place with Conn and Ivy into the world of the Fae and Scots. Couldn't put this one down once I got started reading and am excited for this new series to continue . Recommend this author and book series.

The cover is what intrigued me!!

This is the first book in a new series that I think may be a spin-off of the Dragon Knights series, but it is my first time reading Mary’s work. This is a book for adults.

I really like both Ivy and Conn! Conn has a sense of duty and loyalty that I love! I love the mix of Warrior and Fae who helps mankind. Ivy goes to Ireland knowing nothing of the person who has left her an inheritance. She loves solving mysteries, and there seems to be a lot of secrets surrounding her family that she is unaware of. I love all the mystery, and the family like environment portrayed in the little Irish town. There were a few slow parts which is generally part of a new series when the details of the world are presented. The mix of romance and mystery was great, and there was a bit of action too. I really enjoyed reading especially the 2nd half of the book where it picked up, and I didn’t want to put the book down.

I enjoyed the world created by Mary especially how the Fae are depicted because it was wonderful and magical. I will definitely check out her other books when I can.

I recommend to paranormal fans who love the Fae, magic, love, warriors, and mysteries!

This was an absolutely delightful Faery Tale! It's been a long time since I've read a book that delighted and tickled my love for fantasy. This made my insides sparkle.

Conn MacRoich is a Fenian Warrior who was born a prince of the Fae. He gave up his birthright to become a protector of the peace between the human world and the Fae. To keep evil from hurting both humans and Fae. He is a man/Fae of honor who travels time with his brothers. He's brought before the Fae Counsel for overstepping his authority and altering the human timeline of one important family. He is tasked with righting the wrong he has done. Along the journey he discovers fate has so much more in store for him and his destiny.

Ivy Kathleen O'Callaghan is an American of Irish descent who finds her life at a dead end in America and has inherited her uncle's estate in Ireland. Little does she know the whole town knows everything about her even though she's never set foot in Ireland because her mother shared her life with Uncle Thomas. Her journey of discovery has begun. She also possesses a "gift" she hides as people tend to fear her and it. Not so in Ireland. Many possess various gifts in Ireland.

I loved the struggle between these to people. Conn's desperately trying to follow the "straight and narrow" to untangle the flow of time and aid Ivy Kathleen in embracing all that she is. I adored the growth of confidence in Ivy as she settles into her new life. This is a lovely crafting of fantasy, magic and adventure. Thank you for the opportunity to ARC review this story. I'm really looking forward to the next tale.

This was a really good read i just loved Conn and Ivy they were great characters.A well written paranormal romance i can't wait for book two.

I really had trouble getting into the book initially and getting caught up in the emotions of the characters. The storyline was good, but it just didn’t stand out in my mind amongst other books in the genre. The blurb was great, but overall the book just fell flat for me.

Really good fantasy romance--I loved the danger and intrigue of the plot, and the romance at the centre was just goreous

Quest of a Warrior by Mary Morgan is a wonderfully magical tale set in mythical Ireland which features the fae, enchanted lands, inheritances and wrongs to be made right. It marks the debut of Mary’s new Legends of the Fenian Warriors fantasy series, a spin-off from her Dragon Knights series. It’s the first book I’ve ever read by this author but it’s already not the last! This is the story of Fenian Warrior Prince Conn MacRoich and American heiress Ivy O’Callaghan.

As the story opens, Conn has been called to account in front of the Council for breaking the rules regarding the separation between the realms. As punishment, he must return to the human realm and fix the timeline which his brash behavior had set asunder. Unfortunately, his task is complicated because righting the wrong done to Ivy’s ancestor will have serious implications for the modern-day Ivy who’s awakened his heart.

Discovering that she has inherited a home and business in Ireland was a surprise, nevertheless, it couldn’t have come at a better time for Ivy. With nothing to hold her in the US, she sets off to make a fresh start. When she arrives in Ireland and surveys her inheritance, she realizes that she requires assistance to renovate the estate to make it livable. Low on funds, her options are limited. When a gorgeous stranger offers his services - even though he seems too good to be true - she accepts. But, can she trust Conn, her new handyman? In addition, she discovers that her uncle’s death may not have been an accident as she was led to believe. This discovery may be related to a serious new threat as someone is now targeting Ivy. Why?

Conn and Ivy are each well-developed, likable and genuine characters. Their interactions are funny and steamy. I like how Conn assists Ivy in learning about her heritage and her abilities. As they work together to solve the mystery of who would want to hurt her, Conn’s protectiveness comes to the forefront and causes a few issues. The couple has to work through this as Conn is used to calling the shots and Ivy is determined to be her own person. Their story kept me transfixed and in awe from the beginning to the end.

Mary Morgan has quickly become one of my favorite authors. I adore her lyrical, vivid writing, the Celtic mythology and the enchanting otherworldly element that she interweaves into her stories. If you enjoy breathtaking fairytale romances with amazing characters and beautiful settings, I would encourage you to check out Quest of a Warrior. Next up is Rory’s story in Oath of a Warrior… coming soon!!!!! I can't wait to read it!

I read the Dragon Knights series before this because, well I already had them, but I also like to read the main story before diving into a spin off. Honestly, I was very unimpressed with those books and couldn't wait to be done with them. But thru them all, I did love the Fenian Warriors. Especially Conn. Which only made look forward to his book here all the more. And it really was SO much better.

This starts with Conn locked up because of his actions in the Knights's last book. He's kind of going crazy with the confinement until he's finally been summoned. This was one time that his actions couldn't be overlooked so Conn is stripped of his Warrior skills, the key is also taken away from him, and he is tasked with correcting a mistake that he made long ago. He also has to do this without help from any of his brethren. So off he goes to find a mortal woman and help her to embrace who she is instead of hiding it.

Ivy ends up in Ireland when she inherits a bookshop and some land from somebody she never really knew. But she eventually finds out he knew everything about her when digging for answers into her mother's past and learns of some deep secrets. She quickly falls in love with the town. More so when she meets Conn. She hires him to do work around her new house (which is a lot) and the more times she spends with him, the more she falls for him.

Conn is having a hard time fighting his feelings for Ivy but when she starts being threatened he's determined to protect her and put an end to the one behind it. When Ivy is mortally wounded, Conn does whatever he must to save her no matter what the punishment for himself would be. In the end, it's worth it when he finally gets what he most wants.

I loved learning more about Conn and his family, and I really enjoyed his relationship with Ivy. I also want to learn more about the other Warriors. Even so, I'm just not sure how much I want to continue this series. It's good. But I kind of think I'd enjoy spending my time on other books more.
