Luke's Redemption is a sexy second chance romantic suspense. 6 years previous, Katya ran from her criminal father, Nicu. Luke was undercover with the DEA at the time, and Katya was his mark. He seduced her and stole the memory card from her that was her leverage over her father, the leverage she thought made him leave her alone when she ran from him. What Luke (as Michael) didn't know was that his seduction left Katya and him with a permanent consequence, a happy consequence. Now, 6 years later, when they have their reunion, Luke is once again on a mission. This time he's not with the DEA, rather with a private security firm, King Security. And when Katya sees the man who break her heart but left her with the most important thing in her life, she's understandably not happy. Especially when she finds out all she had been to him was a mark that he needed to get close to so he could take down her father and send him to prison.

Luke's Redemption has got it all: action, suspense, betrayal, secrets, steam, and finally, love. Katya and Luke's chemistry is really hot, but I had a hard time with how quickly Katya forgave Luke for seducing her and leaving her. He had all the resources of the DEA, then later King Security, within his reach, and he honestly couldn't find 1 person in the 6 years she was gone?! I don't think so. His little explanation was not very believable at all and I don't blame Katya for resisting trusting him with her whole heart again. I don't think she should have slept with him again so soon after they reunited, but hey, when you're attracted to someone, especially someone you love, I guess you just can't resist the chemistry. I can't say that I ended up liking Luke very much. He is very much an alpha, which normally I love in a hero, but in Luke's case, it just irritated me. He was really bossy and just expected Katya to forgive him as if he hadn't broken her heart more than once and had never reached out to her. I love Katya's character, though, and Lily. Actually, all the guys at King Security I ended up liking, with the exception of Luke. Gray, Tane, Mathiu, Blake, even King himself. But Luke just irritated me to no end. It's one thing to be an alpha, it's entirely another to be an ass and that's what Luke was.

Aside from Luke, though, I really enjoyed Luke's Redemption. It's sexy, well written, well paced, and is action packed without being over the top. I'm really looking forward to Gray's story now.

This captivating book truly captured that love conquers time and space. Just when I thought the book was wrapping up another turn of events occurrs and took me by somewhat of a surprise. Well balanced romance and suspense in this book.

Okay...wow. My first thought on finishing was to stop and breathe.

I believe this is the author's first book and as such it's a good read and there's a lot here (too much really but more about that later) there's never a dull moment.

The first thing I noticed was the pacing was off but it's a first book that will come.

I struggled with both the main characters as well, I'm going to have to put a spoiler tag on my review which I don't really like to do (because I can never resist reading them) put I can't explain my issues without it.

#### SPOILER ####

Katya knows her father deals with some unsavoury characters but when she hears him promise her to one of them she panics and runs (I'm with her so far) then for some unexplainable reason she takes her father's memory stick.
Now her running is one thing but taking information which could possibly ruin not only her father but his criminal associates is another and guarantees she'll be hunted until it's found.
The memory stick provides the reason for Luke's entrance into her life. Now despite. attending university Katya has led an isolated and protected life and her attraction to Luke/Micheal is instant and the first time she's ever felt this way.

I found it really hard to like Luke at times, he takes her virginity then leaves her the next morning informing her the condom broke, steals her memory stick but promises he means well and she's to meet him in exactly a years time. A meeting she attends but he doesn't because he puts his job first.
Although he's upset he's broken her heart and trust for the second time he still continues to have sex with other women including one particularly horrible skanky one.

Now this really annoyed me but even after we discover Katya has also had sex during this time (she had every right she'd been abandoned by Luke twice) I didn't feel much better.
The problem is when a couple get together and we know they end up together then I want them to remain faithful to each other. What they do before they meet doesn't bother me but afterwards it does.

Luke works for a highly skilled (although I had my doubts at times the fact that they couldn't find Katya when she'd lived an isolated life having one good friend Dani a friend who's brother Hector is a Senior Inspector US Marshal with Witness Protection. Not only did she live with them but she took their name so it should have been a relatively simple job to find her) operation and when they won't let Katya sit in on one of their meetings she throws all her toys out of the pram and just needs some air. At this point I'm throwing my arm to the side (the one not holding my kindle) and saying....DRAMA.
She is being hunted by a cruel and evil man that had her her best friend shot and nearly killed in front of her daughter, it's obvious there isn't much he won't do. But she needs air so safety be dammed.
I accepted early on (memory stick) that Katya just wasn't really that bright and that's okay it's not realistic if everyone is super smart and beautiful but the TSTL moment was just annoying and unnecessary there must have been another way to get the same result.

I also felt she forgave him far too easily and considering where he'd been I'd want him fully tested and a huge dose of antibiotics to be on the safe side.

I'm all for beautiful people in books it's escapism after all but it kind of loses it when everyone is drop dead gorgeous, these aren't models they're security yet every single one of them is stunning I mean seriously stick a normal person in there at some point even if it's just to make them look better.

I also felt the drama at the end was totally unnecessary and spoilt the end of the book, I'm not sure why it's there but it didn't work for me.

This book spans six years with a five year gap thrown in there, I personally hate huge gaps but that's just me.

All this sounds fair more negative than I intended because while there's a lot I didn't like there's also a lot I did and she has a lot of potential as an author. She's built up an interesting set of characters and I'm intrigued by Gray and provided his book 'Gray's Passion' involves someone new and not a certain someone from his past (unless things are not as we've been led to believe) then I'll be reading it, if it's the person from his past then I'll skip since that hold no appeal for me.
I'm also intrigued about Dani and Matiu.

3.5 Stars I was finally able to get this on my kindle and I am glad I persisted. This has the potential to be a great series. Although there is a lot going on and sometimes it seems a bit chaotic I enjoyed the concept and the overall story. I look forward to reading more by this author as this series and her writing develops.

I really liked this fast-paced action packed read. Katya and Luke are both great characters with lots of chemistry and so much emotion. The story has plenty of drama and suspense and had me hooked from beginning to end. I really liked it.

Luke's Redemption is a great read. There are so many loveable characters, I look forward to the release of the next book. My imagination was caught up in the storyline and my heart was invested in the Luke/Katya romance. The story delved into many areas of the character's thoughts and fears and the ending was quite the gripping finale!

I enjoyed the storyline of this book. The topics were good and the characters were believable. But I found it slow to build and most of the action was at the end.

I received a copy of this e-book and am voluntarily leaving an honest opinion.

Luke is an agent and his latest assignment is to obtain an stolen flash drive from Katya, a kingpin's daughter.

Katya has run from her father after learning he agreed to a marriage between a business partner's son and Katya. She feels betrayed by her father and would never marry the man in question. When she left, she took a flash drive of her fathers, thinking it would offer her protection from her father if needed.

With the help of a good friend and her family, Kat has obtain a new identification , a new life, which allows her to have a semi-normal existence. The fear of her father finding her is always in her mind though.

Luke can usually get what he wants by using his charm and charm he did Katya, as Michael, a photographer. They had a few dates and even slept together but then Michael left, taking the flash drive with him. He then went on to infiltrate her father's organization and eventually put him behind bars. Luke's job wasn't done yet though, they didn't get enough info to arrest her father's partner which means he is still in the business of illegal entrepreneurship.

Katya was heartbroken by "Michael's" betrayal but Luke was even more upset. The time he pent with Kat was ingrained in his soul, he would never find anyone like her. They both have many secrets to reveal when they meet again, can Luke make things right?

I loved this story! I felt so much of these characters feelings through the writing and didn't know which one broke my heart more. They both buried feelings after their encounter so when they met again it would take some hard work to amend the past.

This story also had some great twists and turns and the story finished with all open issues being resolved. I would really recommend this book!

I enjoyed this suspenseful hit and run romance from a new author. Putting Katya and Luke together in this dangerous situation made for an exciting ride through the story shadowed by the mob and her kingpin father, as well as Luke's agency.. The plot and characters were well written and very thought out.

I received an advance reader copy in exchange for a fair review. The story of Luke and Katya span a period of about six years and in that time a lit happens that includes the mafia, murder, kidnappings, undercover operatives and lastly love. The main story had several side stories that are going on at the same time. It is a good read if you enjoy action books.

Katya has led a sheltered life because of her over protective father, who is on the wrong side of the law. When Katya overhears her father making a deal with the drug lord for her to marry his son, she takes off and steals her fathers memory stick to use as insurance. Luke is a cop hot on her trail to retrieve the memory stick. The electricity between them is undeniable and they give into the feeling. The next day Luke makes her promise to meet him in one year and he will explain everything, and then he leaves with the memory stick. After the year Katya goes to meet him, but he doesn't show and breaks her heart. Five years later they meet again and Katya will not let him fool her again.

I found this book fast paced with lots of twists and turns. What I didn't like was how the author described to a T what they were wearing and what they were eating ... who cares? I mean a little is ok, but this was too much. And really ... 5 out of 5 of these guys from King's Security are great looking. Otherwise I found this book intriguing and the author did set it up nicely for future books in the series.

I received a copy from Wild Rose Press through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.

This is Anni Fife's debut novel and a steamy start it is. I was ready for a change of pace to the non-fiction I've been reading and this was a good choice. Katya Dalca decides she wants no part of a forced marriage by her criminal father when she learns of his plans...and especially not to a Russian drug dealer's son that she especially dislikes. So she runs off to New Orleans with a flash drive of incriminating data about his business dealings as leverage for her future safety from his plans. There she runs into Luke Hunter on an undercover assignment as Michael to get that flash drive, and the sexy crazy hijinks begin. I thought it was quite well written for a first book and it certainly holds one's interest. I look forward to trying another book in this series now. ARC provided by NetGalley and the publisher.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this books.
A great new book by a new author. I really liked the story of Katya and Luke and I enjoyed evry minute reading it.
It's very well written.

Katya is escaping her father's criminal business and has stolen some leverage to protect herself. While in New Orleans waiting for a new identity she meets Luke and has one last fling. Luke however is not just drawn to her but also her leverage. Years later they are brought together and Luke is determined to make amends. I liked parts of the book but I did not like the ending. Overall the story was good but there were a lot of little things that did not work for me. Katya is supposed to a smart beautiful woman but makes lots of dumb decisions. The romance was good and the sex was hot but there was not a lot of suspense. The ending seemed to be too drawn out. It is a quick read.
