Description

When Riley heads off to boarding school for a summer work-study program, she knows it'll be demanding. What she doesn't expect? To be thrust into an intense physical training program described as special, exclusive and worst of all–top-secret. She signed up for tuition assistance, not to be held in a secret government facility for boot camp…

Welcome to The Division, the government agency that's so classified, most United States senators have never heard of it.

The Division wants Riley bad, but she can't figure out why. Skeptical of what she's being told, Riley's determined to uncover the truth. Boot camp is intense, physically and mentally draining. The upside? One of her new teammates is the cutest boy ever. Watching Finn hit the gym wearing a tank top doesn't suck–although sometimes his brooding attitude does. But when training forces Riley to confront her tragic past, even Finn's big biceps aren't enough to make her want to stay…

Beware: The Division isn't something you just walk away from. You better run.

Riley realizes her capabilities and strengths are greater than she'd ever imagined. But she also learns she wasn't just chosen for this special program…

She was made for it.

When Riley heads off to boarding school for a summer work-study program, she knows it'll be demanding. What she doesn't expect? To be thrust into an intense physical training program described...

One complaint, I read this book way to fast. I did not think that I would enjoy this book so much that I finished it in less than 2 hours. Once I started reading I could not stop. Riley thinks that she is going to a exclusive school only to find out she is some government secret; does she believe every thing that she is told, does she believe in every one that she meets? When Riley meets Finn she realizes not everything is as it seems there are so many secrets. Will Riley and Finn realize that can trust each other or will Riley be betrayed? Thank you NetGalley and Leigh Walker for allowing me to read and write a honest review of this book.

Wow, this book was surprising in all the right ways. It's an engaging and unique story with characters that I cared about and that had me turning pages just as quickly as possible. I loved Riley and felt invested in her story - so much so that I'm already looking forward to the next book in the series. Be assured, this novel is a complete story that is a stand alone novel, however, I loved the premise so much that I'm curious what the characters will experience next.

Fans of the genre will love this book. As a grandma, I loved this book, but would think it's also appropriate for older YA and NA readers. My reason for saying older YA is because there is some violence in the book, but it pales compared to the amount in many YA books. Additionally, this might be the first book I've read in years without a single swear word in it...very refreshing.

I can't wait to see what the author writes next - she is definitely an author to watch and I look forward to her future books.

This book defiantly deserves five stars it has all the makings of my kind of favorite book! 1- great cover 2- easy smooth, and quick read. 3- I love when there are a group of teens in a book and not everything is just focused on one character yes shes the main character but the author lets it be known that all of them are a team. 4- a little romance never hurt anyone! 5- I would love to see this book in theaters I loved the action and could picture everything I was reading. 6- Lastly and my biggest reason I cant wait to read the next book!!!!!

A great beginning to a new series. It reminds me of two of my favorite YA series Archaic and Tainted Elements. Riley is a strong but needy character that's discovering what she's capable of and who she really is. I don't know how I feel about any of the other characters yet, and I'm eagerly waiting to see what the real plot will be. I'm glad I'm reading this now and it's only a few days until the release of the second book.

I loved every minute of this book. It was a perfect balance of action, unexpected twists, and a little bit of teenage romance. If you enjoy a good government secret agency novel, some fantasy, sci-fi and even YA, I recommend this book for you.
I read this book faster than I expected. It is fast paced and keeps you intrigued throughout, always willing you to read one more page, and we all know how one more page turns into one more chapter.
I was not sure what to expect, I did not expect to love this book as much as I did. It has been a while since I have not wanted to put a book down. Following Riley's journey was an exciting adventure. I connected with her as a character on a personal level, and for me that is always a sign of a good read. She is strong, but not flawless, making her a realistic and relatable character. I find Finn endearing. Although most of the characters have a less pleasant introduction, they do end up growing on you.
I love how Riley always asks questions. As Riley learns more about herself and her past, the reader learns alongside her. She questions authority, which is a sure sign of a strong character.
Its difficult not to give too much away, so all I can say is that this book was exciting, fun and those unexpected twists I mentioned earlier will definitely keep you intrigued.

This book drew me in from the beginning and kept me engaged throughout the story.
Riley is a completely believable character whose emotions echo through the pages.
I can't wait to read the next book in this action packed, thrilling, governmental conspiracy series.
I really want to see where the team goes from where the story left off.
My only issue with the book is that the blurb really does sum up the story. I would have liked to have been more surprised by the story. Maybe if the blurb had have been a little vague, I would have felt more intrigued and surprised while reading.

This book was generously provided to me by Netgalley and CMG Publishing in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This is a good start to the series, although quite slow.
Thankfully it was a quick read.
