Description
Ten The Hard Way tells the story of a mother attempting to raise her family of ten children while both her and the children were being constantly brutalized by a husband who could best be described as a modern-day Neanderthal. The mother kept a handwritten record of these abusive events throughout the entire length of their fifty-year marriage, which records the multiple and regular visits to the hospital for broken bones and other abusive events.
The surviving members of the family ask for the widest possible sale and dissemination of this work so others trapped in potentially lethal abusive situations will draw the attention of authorities necessary to close down the abuser and save the victims from further pain, abuse and damage.
The cowardly act of spousal and child abuse will continue to happen until we make people aware of this mostly secret world and hidden activity. Passing along a suggestion to your friends to inform themselves by reading this story and being more observant would help everyone concerned by recognizing and reporting such activities to appropriate authorities.

About the Author:
As one might expect of someone born into the late Nineteenth Century, Sanny, the true author of Ten the Hard Way, passed away at the age of 98. The book survives only because her last surviving son, Bud (Leonard in the book), edited a ream of handwritten notes on unlined paper, on which she had recorded the daily events of her life for more than 50 years. Her hope in keeping such a record was that somewhere along the line, this information would be useful in preventing some other person from enduring the same abusive life she lived.
