This book was written through the eyes of a child but meant to be enjoyed by people of all ages. Through Ari’s journey may we learn to accept ourselves for who we are and rejoice in what we must offer the world. May we accept ourselves and those around us, and appreciate the qualities that make each of us unique and special.

Dr. Sarina Adeni worked with individuals with developmental disabilities in the state of Florida for a decade and currently works with adults in the field of primary care medicine. She lives in the Midwest with her husband, two children with disabilities, and their dog “Mumu.” Dr. Adeni believes in societal inclusion for all individuals for their abilities—not their disabilities. Her hobbies include traveling the world, reading, and helping others. Her parental experience and background as a physician contributed to the writing of this book. Her inspiration evolved from her own experiences with her children, one of whom currently attends university as a sophomore.
