Description

HIDING…

From my past, my secrets, who I really am. But now, he's caught up with me. Back to destroy me, once and for all, with his smug, smiling face. He's going to ensure that I'm in pain, and I'm going to fight like Hell to stop him. I'm at my limit. I'll do anything to protect Grayson.

Protect myself.

Protect us.

Even if it's the last fu*king thing I do.

HIDING...

She's hiding something, someone from me. I won't stop until I find out what it is. Something is pulling her away, keeping her from me. She's completely different--changed. I swear, I refuse, absolutely refuse to sit back, and let something come between us--again.

I fought like Hell for Emmalin once, and I'll certainly do it again.

Even if it's the last fu*king thing I do.

HIDING…

From my past, my secrets, who I really am. But now, he's caught up with me. Back to destroy me, once and for all, with his smug, smiling face. He's going to ensure that I'm in pain, and I'm...

Just as amazing as the first one and leaves you on your toes! Well written and the hidden twists and turns are amazing. So much better than 50 series. Great characters strong and so real

This story is once again about Emmalin and Grayson. It picks up by where the first story ended when in the ball Emmalin sees someone from her past and her old nightmares wakes up. Initially she tries to hide things from Grayson but he quickly picks up that something is off. Grayson tries to protect her with in every way he has, until the unthinkable happens that breaks down both of them. Though they try to pick up their pieces Dale comes into picture and the story ends once again with a veil of mystery.

Marie Skye has written an amazing story which is much more than just another hot romance novella. She delves into the character's feeling and the story evolves fast keeping the reader's interest high. Though the story has some soft BDSM scenes, I would say the reader is so caught up by the plot that even if he/she is not so up to BDSM lifestyle he/she will find him/herself hooked with the book.

I really believe the author did a great job going into depth with her characters and narrating the story. I can't wait to read what happens next and how the story evolves.

Let me start by saying this book is a dark read. It continues where the first book Incapable ends (you cannot read this as a standalone). The book has some triggers so if you have issues with dark themes including rape, this is not for you. With that being said the author wrote this in such a way, it draws you in, holds you tight and will not let you go until the story is complete. Seriously having to work was frustrating because I wanted to sit and finish the book instead. There are some parts of this story that I loved and others not so much.

After reading Incapable you get a background of Emmalin's sordid past. We know she was abused and that she has fought hard to escape that life and to become a strong independent woman. She is still struggling to adjust to Graysons domineering ways. To be fair Grayson really loves her and just wants to protect her and make her happy. While sometimes he is overbearing the author writes him in a way that endures you to him. There are some casualties in this book that broke my heart and actually made me cry. I felt myself blaming Emmalin for hiding things and Grayson for not handling things right for these tragedies.

Emmalin's need to be her own woman and not be a woman who "runs to her boyfriend" caused a lot of unnecessary heartache and pain. Things could have gone so much different. By the time Grayson found out the truth he was already two steps behind and because of his lack of info he was not able to protect everyone they loved. Did I mention that Emmalin was not my favorite in this book? Her lack of communication caused so much strife. Yes, I understand her need to keep some independence and her past made her not want to be so entwined with a man, but no. She tells Grayson she trusts him, yet she keep things from him. The book ends with her doing it again.

This book gets 4.4 stars from me. It was really well written and I felt a connection with most of the characters. It does end on a heck of a cliffhanger so beware. I would definitely recommend this book as well as the first.

I loved reading the outstanding and amazing second book in the Incapable series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy from NetGalley. Emmalin's world comes crashing down when Carson, her stepbrother, demands money from her or he will hurt the ones she loves. Emmalin will do anything to protect Grayson but not fast enough to save Tyler. How can Emmalin escape Carson's treacherous, abusive tendencies and still stay sane and be with Grayson. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written full of mystery, intrigue, and romance, and a must read romance.

Marie Skye just gets better and better. This is a second book in the series about Emmaline and Grayson told from both perspectives. Emmaline's past is back to torment her, and Grayson is hell bent on finding the truth and ridding them of Emmaline's demons once and for all. If only Emmaline would let him in on what goes through her head then Grayson could do what he's wanted to do from the beginning.....own her and make her past disappear.

This second book goes a bit deeper and darker than the first in the series and really makes you feel the many emotions of the characters. The love, anger, and angst jump off the page. The author digs deep into the emotions of Emmaline as a sexual assault victim and how it alters all things around her, including the people. While the story does have a large amount of mystery and drama it doesn't leave you hanging in the romance department. The author made sure to flawlessly piece together the story with plenty of steamy scenes that you just didn't want to end. I'd recommend this book to anyone who enjoys romance or mystery. You get the best of both worlds with this one!

Sexy, rich, alpha male meets strong willed, smart beautiful woman. Lots of angst and steamy sex. This is the first book I've read by the author Marie Skye and I was blown away. This is a highly steamy dark romance with plenty sex so it's probably not for those that like romance on the sweeter side.

Unjustly Destroyed by Marie Skye, book two in the Incapable series. I enjoyed the characters in this series. The books are erotic but still have a strong storyline. The author knows how to pull you into the story from the first page. I look forward to reading more in the series and more book by the author.

OMG! Talk about an intense ride! This second book starts out with a bang! You hear Grayson listening to the doctor and your left wondering what the heck happened? Then you begin to explore just exactly what happened. After learning about each others secrets, Grayson and Emmalin try and move forward towards love, but Emmalin's past catches up with her. All of her hopes and dreams come crashing around her. Sometimes a man can't resque the girl quite in time. As Grayson and Emmalin try and deal with the aftermath, you think they can finally live happily ever after. All is not quite as it seems. Now onto book three! Can't wait!
