Description
“Project: Notice Me” is a win-win for Kyle. He’ll do a series of demonstrations at the club and have a good time with people he knows and the fledging Doms who are new to the scene and looking for encouragement from an experienced Sub. And maybe along the way, he’ll attract the attention of the new Dom at the club, the one with terrible taste in fashion, but who has the most intense focus Kyle has ever seen. He wants the entirety of the man’s attention on him. The clothes are optional.

5 stars all around! This is such a fantastic book I almost cried when it was over because I need the rest of their journey now. So normally I am not a fan of third person present tense but this book really worked for me. And by worked I mean sucked down and didnt let me go. Our mc Kyle is an experienced sub and enjoys playing with anyone. But he is tired and wants to find that one dom. That sounds like a bad pun leading to a trashy kink book but it doesnt. He scenes with two dommes in this book at the beginning once in a nonsexual rope bondage scene and another more sexual. I both deeply appreciated these scenes and overall enjoyed all the female characters in this book. Aiden our Dom is not a stereotypical I must control everything about you dom either which was truly refreshing. They are both respectful of each other and their boundaries as they agree to explore a two week trail. The scenes in this book are both really hot and really simple. From phone sex and orgasm play to "meeting a stranger in the alley wall sex" and frist date role play. They are all so simple but so powerful. Not over the top but for our characters they are really emotional as they get to know each other. Also cuddling lots of cuddling. Which I need more of in books. There is a lot of emotional negotiation as Kyle tries to not come across as to needy because it doesn't want to scare Aiden away. Which is completely legit and Aiden helps him work through since he isnt there well after the scene ends. All of the aftercare is realistic as to what would happe in real life even over the phone. How they both approach deciding on a three month contract is very fair with them laying out their issues from past scenes gone wrong with other partners. Overall I am really excited to read the next installment with this couple and the rest of this authors books |

This genre of book is not my usual pick and I was really surprised that I couldn’t stop reading. Although it isn’t diary form, I defiantly got that feeling from it. You quickly get to feel like you are the diary that gets the low down on all parts of Kyle’s life. I really enjoyed how I got to understand everyone’s back story and how the characters and their lives developed as the story went on. Many of the books that I have read lately have revolved around a conflict or issue being solved. This book is not like that, instead I got to understand the feelings and worries of Kyle, and the actions and moves that he takes to resolve his inner issues and thoughts. When starting to read this I expected that it would just be a book that would be sexual scene, end of story. I really liked that this is deeper with scenes that are sexy but with meaning and hope behind it. It was a read that I really couldn’t help but enjoy and even found myself looking at the other books from the author. I didn’t understand that there were community’s like this who were willing to support him with everything that he chose to do. They support him being bisexual, doing demos and also his plans to attract Aidan. I had never thought about clubs like this before but appreciated the insight into their ways of doing things, like not being able to drink after a scene or how they encourage after care. But the best part by far was the bound that developed and by the end I was ready to read the next book. I have been thinking about what is to come. I really hope that it develops into everything Kyle needs and wants. Thanks Netgalley. |

I absolutely LOVED this. At first, I was a bit put off by the third person, present tense format (present tense is always difficult for me to find a flow with); however, it quickly became a non-issue. I connected with Kyle so strongly throughout this book. There are hints of vulnerability that showed through at every turn, and his submission was beautiful. His personality outside of scenes was fun, flirty, and yes, a bit cocky. One thing that I found so satisfying was that Kyle knew himself so well. This wasn't one of those books where we want to beat the character over the head because we see where he is being short-sighted about his own emotions. Kyle knows where his weaknesses are and tries to work within them. I found Aidan so intriguing. We never get into his head in this book, so he's still a bit of a mystery. I love him as a match for Kyle and can't wait to get to know him better in future installments. Even the supporting characters were awesome. I hope we get to see more of Jenny, Charlotte, Renee, Wanda, & Richard. With that being said, the supporting characters never take over, and it's never confusing. This book is definitely high on the hotness scale. There are sexual scenes with multiple partners, but there is not an infidelity element. Also, Kyle is bisexual, and there are some m/f scenes. I highly recommend this book for fans of BDSM. *Provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review |

3.75 stars This book caught me by surprise. It's more of a slice of life story than a classic romance arc, and I enjoyed that aspect of it. There is no central conflict, instead we watch as things unfold for Kyle, and see how this new relationship develops. I appreciated it because its so rare to find slice of life kink fiction, especially kink fiction that mostly feels realism oriented, instead of more fantasy based. It was a refreshing, enjoyable reading experience. I really loved that Kyle was bisexual and it wasn't a big deal for anyone. We see him play and have sex with women and men in his quest to get Aiden's attention (which takes up a good portion of the book), and nobody blinks, including Aiden. I really liked that Kyle was an active bottom with lots of casual play partners, who did demos and was a rope model, and that nobody questions whether he might be up for a serious relationship or monogamy if that's what he wants. I liked watching Kyle with his friends and community, and especially with Jenny and Charlotte. I liked that some of his play was depicted as not at all connected to sex. I wish that hadn't been attributed to sexual orientation, but I appreciated the discussion of aesthetic attraction. I really liked that it was a representation of kink practice that emphasized things like: negotiation, consent, unpacking scenes afterwards, aftercare, communication, supporting novice tops to learn. The quirks of the BDSM club centered in the story were fascinating to me. Those were the bits of the book that leaned toward fantasy, but the social interactions in them felt a lot like real life kink community, which made for an interesting mix. I enjoyed imagining the idea of a kink club that's mostly about private suites you could use all night that are stocked with aftercare supplies, instead of public play. A club where if you do a demo you get a bracelet marking you as someone who cannot play or get served alcohol. Rope demos where afterwards audience members are allowed to touch the person who is tied up. A BDSM club that serves alcohol but also discourages mixing play and alcohol and also has a full on cafe where people socialize with their friends, negotiate, and unpack scenes afterwards. I enjoyed watching Aiden and Kyle's relationship begin. I found myself continually surprised by the turns it took, in really good ways. I loved that they did role play, something I rarely see depicted in D/s romance, and I enjoyed watching their scenes, watching the way their D/s dynamic worked, seeing the ways Aiden was so flexible and creative in the way he established control, and how closely he paid attention to Kyle. I liked that so much of the experience included internal conflict for Kyle, and showed the ways he was struggling with trust. I got a kick out of the romance kink scene, where they roleplayed a first date; I have never seen that kind of play depicted in a BDSM romance before. I liked Aiden, a lot, even though I mostly got to see him in scene and didn't have much of a sense of him outside of it. Kyle grew on me over time. I liked them for each other. I found the first person present a bit difficult to tolerate, especially at the beginning, but it stopped bugging me as much after the first chapter. There were some awkward phrasings that pulled me out of the story at times. There was one moment where I wished that there was a bit more realism in the depiction of the BDSM (how do you put someone in a rope corset while they are lying on their back?), but for the most part, the kink itself felt accurate. There were moments of heat, especially around the orgasm control, but this book wasn't particularly high heat, for me. I didn't especially mind that. There wasn't a big emotional payoff at the end, it felt more quiet, and like it had finished this stage of things but there was more to show. Like the beginning of a series about the same couple, which it is, so that fits. I would read the next book, and follow this couple to see how their relationship develops over time. Content Warnings: Sex on the page. Consensual BDSM including bondage, role play, rough sex, light humiliation, spanking, romance kink, D/s, orgasm control, service, brat dynamic. Detailed descriptions of sub drop. References to a scene that included abusive behavior in the past and created trauma for the bottom. Reference to a D/s relationship in the past where the submissive did things they were not fully consented to, without telling the dominant. |

To Seek and to Find was better than I went in expecting it to be. The synopsis didn't really give much away to begin with so I went in not expecting a lot from it. What it did end up being was a quick, steamy read with lovable characters. Usually a book written in third person, present tense really puts me off a book so when I picked this one up and started reading only to find out that is what it was, it kind of threw me a little in the beginning but I managed to sink in to the story pretty quickly and the writing style didn't phase me one I got in to it. So, if that's something that does put you off also, just be aware that it is written in this style, but I do recommend giving it a go regardless. Kyle is a sub that enjoys his time at the club he belongs to, he enjoys having an array of Dom's at his disposal that can all give him different things to suit him mood of the evening. What Kyle longs for though, is a Dom who can achieve all these things and give him the undivided attention and care he's been searching for. Aiden is a Dom that is breathe of fresh air to me. He's not your stereotypical Dom and to me that creates a very interesting character. By the end of the book he has shown so many intricate layers and sides I can't help but adore him. Can't wait to read more on these characters. Overall, a short little read that I really enjoyed. |
