Advance Praise
"With the many twists and turns that moved the story forward I found the flow overall entrancing. I was wonderfully sucked into Glynis’ world and felt like a little camera on her shoulder as she found love and happiness.
I recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn about history without the facts being stuffed down your throat. I found this book to be a refreshing change from my typical reading. I will be reading Ms. Pennick’s books again and looking forward to finding more books in the historical genre to enjoy."

Overall, a good book. I felt it kept a consistent pace, the writing was easy to follow. It didn't "wow" me, but I also couldn't find anything which particularly stood out about it within the genre. Glynnis is a bit hard on herself at times and does tend to have a bit of a "woe is me" attitude which crops up that isn't in keeping with her "go get em girl" moments. I'm not disappointed in this book, it passed the time and was overall a nice, pleasant read, but page turner it's not.

An interesting story aboard a ship bound for the American Colonies to start afresh.
I rec'd a copy from Netgalley and voluntarily leave my own thoughts
