The God Gene Chronicles

Legend and lore lay the foundation for an exciting new series, which puts the deities of Hindu mythology center stage for a breathtaking, original superhero story. In The God Gene Chronicles: The Secret of the Gods by Projesh Banerjea, the story follows one boy, who is the critical link between Hinduism and Buddhism, as he bridges the world of Gods and humans. 

While these two religions make up nearly 20% of the world’s population, there is a lack of protagonists to represent these cultures in the media. In the new millennium the Rax are gearing up for a savage attack on the Devs, but the plan is discovered and a pre-emptive strike is planned as three friends in a Mumbai boys school go about their adolescent lives ditching class and picking up girls. But the boys don’t remain carefree for long. Rahul, Ronit and Nikhil find themselves caught up in the events that culminate in the horrific Mumbai terrorist attacks of November 26, 2008.

Having long since accepted he’s not quite equipped to join the ranks of the latter, he’s now content to conjure up stories about them.  He grew up in Calcutta and has previously lived in London and New York. His academic pursuits have taken him to DePauw University, for undergraduate studies in mathematics and economics, The London School of Economics, as a Jack Kent Cooke graduate scholar in economic history, and the University of Oxford for an Executive MBA.
