Description
After her painful divorce, novelist Jessica
Simon brings her shattered spirit home to the beloved Connecticut farm of her
youth. There, Jessie hopes to conquer a bad case of writer's block--and find some
peace. Instead, as if he were a ghost, she finds Nick Granby, her first love,
the man she has never forgotten.
Architect Nick Granby has his own problems, past
and present, and the neighboring farm he escaped years ago is the last place he
wants to be. Yet his ailing father needs him. And then there’s the one woman he
had loved--and lost. Can he make amends with Jessie too?
Jessie can't deny her feelings for Nick. But can
she trust him this time not to break her heart? Or are happy endings only for
the books she writes?

A Note From the Publisher
Award-winning, USA Today best-selling author Leigh Riker grew up with her nose in a book. She later began her career by writing short stories, but with her first novel she found her true fictional “home,” and to this day her passion for writing romance remains as strong as ever.
When not writing, or thinking about writing, she loves to read, watch movies that make her laugh and cry, dig in the garden, travel, and play the piano—with gusto if not finesse.
At home now in the Southeast she is (of course) working on a new novel.

I really loved this book. Each character I found was very likable. I loved The historical part of the book and how it was worked in to the story. The book touched on forgiveness, trust, death and how to move on. I could not put this book down.
