Description

I had it all. Two beautiful children. A gainfully employed husband. A successful food blog.

The only thing missing from my life was . . . heat.

And I wanted to live. To live loudly and without fear.

I also wanted my husband to think I was as hot as I was when we were high school sweethearts. More, I wanted what my sister had: love, passion, and a husband whose love was infinite.

Because something was happening with Rob. Had he fallen out of love with me? Had he found someone else? Was I not—

Sigh.

Was I not enough?

Heartbreak at Roosevelt Ranch will be available for purchase in both print and ebook formats upon it's release in June 2018.

Heartbreak at Roosevelt Ranch by Elise Faber is a fantastic followup to Disaster at Roosevelt Ranch. This is Melissa’s story and we see she is having marriage troubles with her cop husband Rob. It shows how Melissa is finally getting her dreams of a food show on a food network yet while her professional dreams are coming true, her personal dreams are falling apart when her husband is pulling away and staying far apart from her and their children. She doesn’t understand why and the story details what is going on. It is realistic and heartbreaking. It deals with misunderstandings, not talking to each other leads to problems in the marriage and just a case of not everything as it appears. There is also villians in this story who are out to harm Melissa and her marriage to Rob. There is intrigue, mystery , angst and drama. I do wish the ending wasn’t so rushed because I would have liked to see how things were going between Melissa and Rob but overall, this was a fabulous story.

My Rating: 4.5 stars *****

I’m going to start off by saying be careful when reading reviews. One reviewer gave away too much in their review that it could have ruined the book for me. In ways it did because it gave away some of the twists! So my recommendation is to not read reviews and take a chance and read this wonderful story!

Elise Faber delivers another amazing story in the Roosevelt Ranch series! I couldn’t put it down. Melissa & Rob went on one emotional journey, but the end definitely made it worth it.

I look forward to more in this series and from Elise Faber.

Melissa and Rob are high school sweethearts which is absolutely adorable. They now have 2 kids and a little pup.

One day Melissa finds a cellphone in between the mattress’s and when she looks to see what’s on it, she finds that there’s txts with another woman. She has so many things that go through her head and she believes that her husband is having an affair.

While I was reading this I wanted to smack Rob upside the head so many times. Melissa just makes me want to dive into the book and hug her.

This book puts you through a ringer of emotions. I would definitely recommend this book. If plan on reading this make sure you have a box a tissues with you.

I received an E-arc from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

4.5 Stars Fabulous read, Heartbreak at Roosevelt Ranch has wonderful characters and a well written storyline. My first read by Elise Faber and I have to say one of the best introductions to a new author I have read in a long time.

A story that starts out slow but pick-up speedster on. Lots of twists and turns as the bad guys are slow to reveal themselves. Love the characters and was surprised at how this went from a cozy to suspense thriller.

A beautiful read about a married woman who feels her marriage is lacking something and that something being in the bedroom and what she had with her husband before the kids and daily life came along. I loved how Elise Faber showed a different side of romance. Great Read!

Kelly and Melissa had horrid parents. Their father walked out when they were young and their mother was not a good person, so Melissa believed it was her job to take care of Kelly and herself. Kelly got her HEA in the last book (Disaster at Roosevelt Ranch) and is living it now. Struggling to keep food in their bellies, Melissa has become a foodie with a very popular blog. Culinary school had been Melissa's dream, but she gave it up to put her husband, Rob, the love of her life, her salvation when she was growing up, through the police academy. Now a stay at home mom, with two children, Rob has become distant with a case and there is evidence that he is having an affair. At the same time Melissa is offered to do a cooking show. But nothing is as it appears. I wanted to smack Rob upside his head and shake Melissa. As is often the case in this genre, not talking to each other causes a lot of the conflicts. But lots of intrigue and danger with Rob's case.

The characters are well developed and the plot delightfully twisted. The only thing missing is the recipe for the banana cream pie. I received a free, ARC of this book from publisher from Netgalley.com. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Melissa and Rob were high school sweethearts and now they are married with 2 kids and a dog. And when Melissa finds a cell phone hidden under their mattress and on it are texts from another woman, she starts to see all the clues that lead her to believe her husband is having an affair.

This book just broke my heart! I wanted to shake Melissa and tell her to confront him and then kick him out. And as for Rob ... well you don't really want to know what I wanted to do to him. At times I just wanted to through the book across the room and then in the next chapter I just wanted to cry ... and I did. My heart hurt for the whole situation. You know it's a great book when it can get such strong feelings from you. I highly recommend this book and just remember to have tissues close by.
