Description

He was the only man she wanted—and the one man she could never have.

She gave up everything and reinvented herself as wealthy, successful Constance Quinn, a woman who carefully guards her emotions. Yet, she longs for all that she's denied herself, but there's no room for love or even for relationships in her rigidly controlled existence.

A private investigator's report changes everything, and she decides to find the part of herself that was lost in her transformation.

"A blonde with curves in all the right places." That's what Alex Martinez thinks when he meets Constance. When they touch, something hot and urgent passes between them. Their attraction is mutual. Their desire is palpable.

Constance cannot resist Alex, but she knows she's playing with fire and resolves to keep him at a distance, but Alex won't be kept at arm's length.

As their desire grows, so does her fear that Alex might discover the secret she is desperate to keep from him.

Second Chance Bride is Book 2 of All Brides Are Beautiful.

Learn what happened to make Constance the cold and unloving stepmother to Maddie Quinn, the heroine of Book 1, April Fool Bride.

Easy to follow stand-alone. No editing errors, graphic violence or drag-you-down drama.

Enjoyable HEA romance. Believable characters with distinct personalities. Thought-provoking and memorable dialogue.

"He told me young dogs would always be adopted but that this old dog would never find someone to love him if we didn’t take him. I told him that the dog wouldn’t have many years or maybe not even months of life left. He said that was an even better reason to adopt him so he’d know love before he died."

I look forward to other works by this author.

Exquisite Storyteller and captivating story!

Rare find! A second in a series that didn't keep referring to previous characters.

Here the story was seamless and believable. Tragic and romantic and sex with a capital S. Now I want to go back and read book one and then book three in the series. Then read anything else written by Joan Reeves.  Excellent storyteller!

Read this book and decided to check out the first book in the series, “April Fool Bride” to find I already read and loved it. Although this book is part of a series, it is a great stand alone. Just like the last book I just loved the book. A fast read with an interesting plot. I hope you pick up this book and read it and enjoyed as much as I have. I am looking forward to the next book in the series and will be going back to read other Joan Reeves books.

This is the second instalment in Joan Reeves All Brides are beautiful series. While part of a series the book can be read as a standalone.
Constance Quinn as closed her heart to everyone. Having suffered unimaginable heartbreak at an early age she vowed no one would have the power to hurt her. With the help of her step-daughter she is starting to open up again. Tracking down someone from her past could either save her or destroy her.
Alex Martinez is intrigued by his new neighbour. Attraction is instant, but Constance is resisting. Can Alex get her to open up to him or will her secrets drive them apart forever.
This is a quick and enjoyable read. The plot develops at a good pace and the characters are well rounded. I would recommend this book.

Constance moves into a house that she bought quickly so as to be closer to the son she put up for adoption. She meets Alex, the father of her adopted son and falls in love. Life as usual throws a few curve balls to them.
A very good, easy read. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book.
