Description
Cora and her husband, PGA golf pro Steady Eddie Timms, live in a safe gated community, so when Cora witnesses a murder, she's shocked and frightened. But without a body, murder weapon, or evidence of a crime, Cora's sanity is called into question—especially when it comes to light that Cora's not been dealing well with the stress and grief of losing a daughter, and her memory of late hasn't been all it should be. Determined to prove her sanity, Cora bursts into a flurry of danger and unanswered questions as she sets out to find evidence of foul play. With the help of a bumbling security guard, a loyal best friend, and a neighbor's yappy dog, pieces finally fall into place. By all appearance, the mystery is solved... until Cora is kidnapped and implicated in a case of hidden identity and an old embezzlement scheme. It will take more than the national attention garnered from Steady Eddie's status to clear Cora's name, rescue her from the kidnappers, and help find her way back to the peace and sanity found only in God's loving arms.

Reflections Of A Stranger is a cool book - I will say though it did get a little bit much that thee book kept using the stereotype of the Texans - it kept saying things like "ya" every other word and instead of using the 'g' at the end of words they took it off of all the words and just kept the 'n' with a ' at the end - for example - callin' and talkin' - through the whole book for an example of a sentence here is one - "Could ya gimme a few minutes afore callin' the po-lice? I'd like to go on out, an' do my prelim'nary look-see,." - now if you could get past all that kind of thing the story was great - it starts off with a Kaboom and I do mean a mysterious something happened - a cold cold thing happened to Cora - a secret thing - and a great big Kaboom happened and it goes on from there. I received a copy of this book from the Publisher from Netgalley; all of the opinions expressed in this review are all my own.

A nice little mystery, not really thrilling and not really believable. If you like Texan accent you'll probably love it, otherwise this gets a bit tiring.
Doubts in one's own faith after a loss are touched, but the Christian theme isn't in the focus.
