Odd(ly) Enough: 5-Chapter Sampler

I absolutely loved CA’s complete transparency and rawness in this truly inspirational and motivational book. I cannot even put into words all the vast array of emotions that I felt when I read the first five chapters of her book.  I laughed out loud and cried. I can relate to her on so many levels.  God is utilizing her testimony to help so many women who are broken to seek Him and be healed in the process. It is extraordinarily and I definitely recommend it to everyone!! I can't wait to read the rest of the book. I am looking forward to it. I can't wait for November to come. I will be anxiously waiting.

It has been a long time since a book has meant so much to me.  Carolanne Miljavac is honest, real and raw.  She has been through a lot but still is encouraging and upbeat.  She shares her life and her faith with courage and humor.  She said words that I NEEDED to hear and I will be forever changed because of her book.

Motivational from page one!  #OddlyEnough spoke to me on so many levels, at one point it was like reading about my life.  I feel uplifed and encouraged to make big changes in my life.  Well done @CAMiljavac for getting into a readers heart and mind.

You’ve read many self help books, the kind that make you feel all warm & fuzzy as you read, but this is the type of book that is so raw and so real and so applicable to us all about the author’s  struggles, brokenness, not knowing her place in this world, searching for love in all the wrong places all with a bit of humor, southern charm, sarcasm, scripture, and honest ways of how she chose to handle the storms of her life. She learned how to dream amidst the saddest most difficult times. She realized the importance of Jesus in the center of all of her “stuff” and how she continues to have “stuff”, but now has learned what she’s anchored too. I’ve highlighted and outlined to death, journaled, tweeted, and screenshot tons of these pages! You don’t want to miss out. It’s exactly what his broken world needs. Perfect book for your ebbs and flows in life. Perfect book for your peaks and your valleys. I highly recommend it!!! It was so very timely and so very good.

All I can say after reading just a few chapters I can say this girl knows how to speak to people when they need it the most I am glad that she came into my life when she did she is inspiration and I am glad to know her thanks again CA for being you #ODDLYENOUGH

The author Carolanne opens her life and shares with us  her heartache and pain and by example uses it to push her forward on this pendulum of life finding balance by the grace of God.

What makes this book different from all others?  Well, I don't know really. I don't read very much. I am much more of a audio book type of person. This book drew me in from the introduction all the way to the end. I read the entire thing within a day. If I am reading, and not putting the book down, you know its good because like I said, I don't read. Like Ever! I had to make myself slow down and re-read things because it was so good! Carolanne Miljavac is a fantastic author. I laughed, I ugly cried, and went through a lot of tissues while reading this book. The things that Carolanne and her family had to endure and go through was so heartbreaking, and when reading that part of the book, I felt like I was there with them, I felt like family. It hit really close to home for me. Carolanne is a strong woman of God and she isn't afraid to let that be known. She has an amazing way of writing down how she feels and what she was going through, and I truly felt that I had lived through it with her. There is nothing negative that I can say about this book or about the author. Since reading, I have ordered the audio book and I plan to re-read this book while listening to it as well. I feel like there are so many take away's and life lessons from this book. No matter what we go through, or what we do, to God we are Oddly Enough!

Wow. This book takes you thru every emotion, happy, sad, joyful, and best of all inspired! A life full of ups and downs that led the author to redemption and right into the arms of God. I could not put this book down, the authors journey thru her life is so relatable and her dedication to her called purpose is simply amazing. A story that will inspire any one and ensure you that you are Oddly Enough.

The expression, “I couldn’t put the book down” rang true for me while reading Odd(ly) Enough. The author, Carolanne Majavic, demonstrates true courage when sharing her struggles in life in which many of us can relate to. She writes in a way that draws the reader into her experiences allowing you to feel her raw emotion sentence by sentence and paragraph by paragraph.  This is a book written with nothing but true authenticity. For anyone who is feeling lost or seeking strength, read this book as it provides you with a very uplifting story of how a young woman makes the hard decision to turn extremely difficult times into a positive and successful path for her and her family. She describes beautifully how her strength came from God. “I wasn’t looking for God. But I was brokenhearted enough that day to recognize Him. Out of nowhere, I felt warmth and peace wash over me.” This hit home for me personally and I believe her story will absolutely change lives. It did mine. I was lucky to have received the first five chapters beforehand, which only left me anxiously awaiting for the book in its entirety. Like I said, I couldn’t put the book down and read the rest in one day. Beautify written book by a first-time author and I look forward to her next book!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Carolanne Miljavak's book, 'Odd(ly) Enough'.  It is truly a story I could relate to and one I needed to hear.  There's so many books out there that are geared toward self-help, self-care, grief, forgiveness, etc., many in the name of Christianity.  However, most don't really get down to the nitty-gritty, raw ugliness of what sin looks like in our life before we accept Christ into our heart.  Whether it's sin we've committed or sin that's been committed against us; Carolanne isn't afraid to go there and bare her soul with the reader to share hers and how it's shaped her life and her passionate love for the Lord. Odd(ly) Enough is told in the author's southern and, quite often, very humorous 'voice'.  But make no mistake, it can be a difficult read at times. That's because it's her real life, with all its many loves and hurts, and how God has used it all for His glory. I had a very hard time putting this book down and was truly blessed by reading it.  It's one I'll definitely pass on to a friend!

I was introduced to Carolanne Miljavac when I had seen a video shared on Facebook. I found her bubbly, charismatic personality and sense of humor delightfully refreshing. So when I learned she was releasing a book, I knew I had to get my hands on it.

Carolanne Miljavac opens up by sharing her heart and testimony with complete transparency.  She guided me through her story, describing struggles with growing up underprivileged, experiencing traumas such as sexual assault and loss of a loved one, and how that impacted her faith in God. She challenged and inspired me to face my problems, as she did, reigniting a sense of purpose for my life. This book helped me realize that I’m not defined by my past or my experiences. As the author shared her testimony, I was drawn in and craved the peace and happiness that she found in her renewed relationship with Christ.

Carolanne Miljavac’s quick wit, quirkiness, and sweet nature shine throughout the book.  She is so relatable and genuine. Since I started this book, it feels like was written just for me and I believe that it will have the same tone for anyone who opens it. God wanted me to hear this, I needed this reminder.

This book has far exceeded my expectations. I honestly was not prepared for all the emotions that is compacted into this book; humor, grace, joy, sadness. I was absolutely in awe how Carolanne Miljavac was so brave of telling her story, her truth of her loss, brokenness, and hurt and her battle of overcoming all of these obstacles of her past and was able to see her truth in herself through God and developing this relationship with Him and what it all took to get there. Not only was she able to tell her story of personal growth, but she sheds light on God's will for you and for me and how much He loves us even in our dark days and how we can get through them. Her personal development has became part of mine. Thank you Carolanne!

It has been a long time that I sat down and read a book. Reading was my first love, and I have neglected it for so long. After reading Carolanne Miljavac's book, it reminded me how much i miss and enjoy reading. The author shares her story through humor, akwardness, and faith. Odd(ly) Enough: Standing Out When the World Begs You To Fit In, a feel good book that is also raw, real, and truthful.

Inspired by her honesty.  Great read for those who are feeling down. It will uplift you to a place you’ve never known before. I don’t read many books but this one called out to me!

I literally read this whole book in a day.  I didn’t want to put it down.  The author pulled me in with her writing.  This reading was raw and the author truly puts so much of herself out there for her audience.  She is so real and laid so much truth on me throughout my reading.  I cried, laughed and my heart even ached a bit.  She hit very close to home with a few scenarios in the book.  I’m not big into faith but have been opening my heart and mind to let him in, more and more.  I want to trust and believe; I want to live my life with more purpose and do more good.  I feel like this book will benefit any reader who has ever been through hard times; traumatic times; questioned/challenged their faith; lost a loved one; or questioned their worth as a person.  I do hope there are more to come!

MUST HAVE BOOK!! I absolutely love this book! I would highly recommend it to anyone! This book has helped me in so many ways and opened my eyes. This has touched my heart and drawn me closer to God. If there was a higher review star option then I would give it!

What I loved most about this book is how honest and real the author is.  She opens herself up to the reader and shows all of who she is – her flaws and mistakes laid bare.  She is a real person just like you and I.  Miljavac shares her joys, pain, and struggles in life and the effect they had on her faith in God.  She takes you on a journey to discover that who you are – all that you are – is enough.  What I've taken away from this book is that I'm not meant to be perfect in this life.  I can stop struggling for a perfection that I will never achieve this side of Heaven.  It really is okay to make mistakes and struggle with life, to have doubts and fears and worries. As Miljavac says in her book, “It is in our greatest moments of imperfection, when we are broken and humbled, aware of our need for God, that He comes in and shows us the beauty in our ashes. So everything that we think makes us an outcast is actually what makes us...oddly...enough.  If you've ever felt insignificant, out of place, uncomfortable, or unqualified, I want to encourage you that it doesn't matter.  Where you come form, what you've done, what's been done to you.  You have been qualified by the character in your fall.  The hardest parts of your life have given you the greatest value.”  I highly recommend this book to anyone that has ever felt they were alone or felt as though they could never measure up. I think you'll find you are, oddly, enough just as you are.

I absolutely LOVE this book. I have not read many books that have touched my soul and speak to me like this one has. There is so much that the author writes about that I can relate to, and I seriously couldn't stop reading it. I laughed and cried many times. I felt like she was speaking to my soul. Within the last year I had started to rebuild my relationship with God, and while reading this book I feel as though my relationship has strengthened. There was so much the author wrote that I NEEDED to hear and just reaffirmed that I was on the right path in my life. This book is definitely worth the time to read.

Growing up in a small town, I was so afraid to show my true personality because of the fear of being classified as weird. For years I hid my quirks, and only my close friends and family got to experience “me.” When I came across Carolanne on Facebook, I was instantly drawn to (aka jealous of) her bursting personality and openness to the masses. I heard she was writing a book and I jumped at the opportunity to read and learn about what made her the person she is. So many topics in this book have been relatable to things I have experienced in my life. It encouraged me to be more outgoing and try things that, in the past, I would never imagine myself doing solely because of hesitation or fear of embarrassment. The best part of the book is that it reads as if you are listening to a friend. Once I started the book I did not want to stop! This book will make you laugh, cry a little, reflect, and will instill the desire to be a better you! Buy this book!
*If you are not a religious person, this book may not be for you. Every chapter incorporates Carolanne’s relationship with God, and how God has influenced her life and her decisions. Her delivery does not come across as preachy, but those who do not partake in religion may feel overwhelmed by the scripture and miss the great lessons.

This book is an absolute must read. Carolanne Miljavac tells her story in such a way that you can't help but laugh and cry with her along the way. Lately I've felt a little lost in my faith since the loss of two family members last year. Since reading this book it's like a spark has been reignited. I feel like this is a story I was meant to hear and oddly enough I bet so many will feel the same way. We are all oddly enough!

This book is easily one of the best books I've read in a very long time! The author, Carolanne shares her life experiences through humor and deel emotion, that will have you laughing and crying! You won't want to put it down! It has SO much truth and knowledge about God and His love for us that brings us together. We are all Oddly Enough!

This book is absolutely amazing! I recently lossed my grandma to lung cancer in August. This book was so God's timing, it's not even funny. God knew that I needed this book! I relate to this book so much. I didn't want to cry and feel the feels, but I cried and felt the feels! The author knows what she's doing. I'm so thankful she listened to God. I'm so excited for her next book!

Carolanne shares of her life experiences growing up in Alabama. She presents her story in a way that one feels a gamut of emotions from joy to grief and back again.  Her southern accent delightfully shines out in her writing. Humor is an obvious part of who she is.

The author's words offer encouragement, motivation, and hope. Many parts challenge the reader to live a more transparent life and to live it for Jesus. Carolanne is a Christian and shares the hope she has found in Him.

Reader beware that some of the personal stories may be difficult to read. Carolanne has journeyed through some very difficult things.

I found this book refreshingly real, brutally honest, and parts of it caused bursts of laughter. I give it 5 stars and encourage you to read it: you will be blessed.
