Camp Club Girls- Elizabeth by Renae Brumbaugh is the first in the Camp Club Girls series. In this book Elizabeth takes the lead as the girls solve four mysteries across the country. The girls all meet at Camp Discovery Lake where they find strange things happening at the miniature golf course. Will they be able to figure it out before camp ends? In the second story someone is missing a bag of marbles in Amarillo where Elizabeth lives. A man starts asking questions and a waitress where Elizabeth’s friend works tells them an amazing story involving Megan’s grandmother. Will the girls find the marbles or will the mysterious man? Next Elizabeth meets Kate and her youth group in San Antonio as they minister to children along the Riverwalk. Why are so many boats breaking down and only those owned one cruise company? Will the girls be able to uncover the real reasons the cruise company is having so many problems? The final story finds Elizabeth and Bailey meeting in Nashville at a music conference. The first day they meet Kristi and soon discover her father’s very valuable Gibson guitar has been stolen. Kristi brought the guitar to Nashville to sell as her father is no longer able to play and the money from the guitar will fund her study at Julliard if she gets accepted. Will they be able to find the missing guitar before it is sold on the black market?
I really enjoyed this book and will be looking for future ones for my granddaughter. The girls are very computer savvy and though not all of them are together they all participate in solving each mystery. The book is based on Christian principles so the girls quote scriptures that apply to their situation and pray when things get a bit sticky. While the try to work things out on their own they do tell Elizabeth’s parents when they may in too deep. I giver this book 5 of 5 stars and believe it will appeal to a wide audience of independent girls.
I received an advance copy of this book through Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

Camp Club Girls: Elizabeth is a fun collection of four mysteries. They include:
Camp Club Girl and the Mystery at Discovery Lake
Camp Club Girls: Elizabeth’s Amarillo Adventure
Camp Club Girls: Elizabeth’s San Antonio Sleuthing
Camp Club Girls: Elizabeth and the Music City Mayhem
I enjoyed every one of these quick stories. I found Elizabeth and her friends to be inspiring and great role models for young girls. I would not have any problem handing this book over to my nine year old daughter and allow her to read it. I would love to get the other books in the series to complete the set. I believe she would enjoy it more than me and I loved it. I give it five plus stars.
I received this book from the publisher, but was not required to write a review. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.

This four-book collection includes “Camp Club Girls and the Mystery at Discovery Lake”, “Elizabeth’s Armadillo Adventure”, “Elizabeth’s San Antonio Sleuthing”, and “Elizabeth and the Music City Mayhem.” As someone who grew up reading Nancy Drew and Lois Gladys Leppard’s “Mandie” series, I was eager to see what the genre is offering twenty-first century girls. Despite having a modern setting and making use of current technology, these stories had an old-fashioned, reassuring feel to them. There is a strong Christian thread throughout each of the stories, but it is not over-the-top. The girls are very respectful toward their elders, addressing them as sir or ma’am, and this was not only refreshing but also sets a good example for readers. The girls are well-mannered and courteous but not saccharine-sweet, nor are they perfect, and they do make mistakes; as such, they are definitely relatable while also being good role models. The inclusion of all the Camp Club Girls in each story, even if the main focus was only on a couple of them, was fun and added different perspectives to each situation. I loved that Alex (Alexis) always made references to classic detectives and TV shows, and Kate’s affinity for gadgets provided an interesting angle. The two stories in which Biscuit the dog was featured were my favorites. I thoroughly enjoyed this collection, and although it is recommended for ages 10-12, I think that older girls (and even adults!) will find it appealing.

If you grew up on the Saddle Club 🏇and BSC 🍼 like I did, you will love this new series. These girls (ages 9-14) meet at a Christian summer camp. They live all over the USA 🇺🇸 and go to visit each other (so we get some Geography and culture /history). They solve mysteries, and have the kind of character development that you want for your tweens and teens.

They come in sets, 4 stories from one of the girls' point of view, and each story takes about an hour to read.

With Elizabeth, there's 🐴 and 🎶 and 🚨, and she develops responsibility, compassion, creativity, and more. I loved how appropriate scripture verses and principles were presented in the normal course of events, and felt natural, not preachy. The normal interaction with friends and family makes it both fun and encouraging.

For this review on Camp Club Girls: Elizabeth by Renae Brumbaugh Green I would love to share what my 14-year-old daughter’s thoughts were on the book as she is a teenager and VERY much a mystery reader! “This is one of the best mystery books I have ever read. I loved how it jumped into the mystery right away and I didn’t have to wait for it to come about. It mentions in this book about other mystery books that I have read such as Nancy Drew. I feel that it would be a great book for other teens and even older people who love mysteries. This author keeps it very interesting and I found that sometimes I wanted to cuddle and read on and sometimes I became quite taken by the scary scenes and all their mysterious situations. I loved how it added in Scripture, which I don’t find in Nancy Drew books, and this encouraged me to want to look them up in my own copy of God’s Word. I found the characters to be fun and creative and I felt happy, sad, and everything in between right along with them. I CAN’T wait to read the next Christian mystery book collection.”

The first in the series of books for young readers about young detectives who meet at a camp. There are four novellas within this book. Younger kids may get a thrill from a few cliff hanger moments but I don't think this would be too scary. Age range 9 to 14 probably although an 8 year old and even a 16 year old would still enjoy it.
Elizabeth and five other girls meet at camp where they are roommates. Also where they solve their first mystery and become the Camp Club Girls. The first novella features their meeting and solving this mystery. The other three mysteries happen later in various locations with Elizabeth and one other camp club girl at her side with the others providing support long distance. The girls make friends along the way, learn lessons and of course solve a mystery.
Faith, prayer and scripture are intertwined into the pages in a way that allows Jesus and faith to be a natural part of this entertaining read. The girls aren't perfect, but they are good characters for young girls to look to.

I loved these pre-teen mysteries!

These stories are reminiscent of the Trixie Belden books that I read multiple times growing up.

In the first story we meet six girls ranging in age from 9 to 14 years old. As they all arrive on the first day of camp they meet each other. They immediately become friends as they settle into their cabin. They are very well developed. They each have different interests, strengths, and weaknesses.

They are very observant and once one of them identifies a mystery they all jump in using their own skill to help solve it. Each of the mysteries is different but they are all undertaken to help someone else out.

I thoroughly enjoyed the fact that they encourage each other with scripture. They also go to God in prayer asking for guidance and protection.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher, through NetGalley. I have chosen to write this review to express my personal opinion.
