There have been many times in my life where I felt quite incapable of relating to anyone...that it was unusual for me to feel a certain way. This amazing collection of stories has reassured me that there are women out there like me, living each and every day to the fullest. Each woman's story of strength, heroism and perseverance has inspired me to feel proud of being a woman. I highly recommend this book to any woman, young or old, no matter the point they might be at in their lives. Women Will Save the World is the most inspirational writing I've read in a very, very long time. I look forward to more of these collaborations to come!

An Inspirational Must-Read for All Women

This book should be required reading for all women, especially those in early adulthood. (I wish I had a book like this in my early 20s!) It is a beautiful collection of stories about and from influential women from all walks of life. But it is more than just a compilation--it's a well-edited piece of work organized into segments that celebrate various aspects of the female spirit. It takes you on a journey that leaves you feeling inspired, uplifted and proud to be a woman. Highly recommended!

Fresh Ideas by Inspiring Women

This collection of essays and stories has reminded me that we are all here with gifts to offer. It has launched me on my own exploration of ways to lend my voice, in small or large ways, to the loving transformation of the world. While the contributing authors are all accomplished, there is an invitation to "let my light shine" and trust where and how it may serve myself and others. A worthwhile and inspiring read.

Brilliant and Inspiring

I knew, based on the editor, that this would be good. I didn't know it would be this good. The collection of essays is brilliant and will inspire many different types of women who want to succeed by embracing, not distancing, who they are. Yes, we should celebrate famous women such as Mother Teresa for their part in saving the world, and she is mentioned in this book. But this book speaks to all women who want to improve their own small corner of humanity by harnessing their innate strength and unique perspective. If you are a woman seeking to embrace your own abilities to improve your success in business, with your family, or in balancing the two -- or if you seek an answer to the important personal question, "Why do I do all of this?" -- this book is a must read.

Overcoming a Legacy of "Less Than Good Enough"

Whoa..... And so I took a deep cleansing breath, retrieved my copy of the book and said a little prayer of thanks to all the women all around the world who have believed in themselves, taken a chance, risked big, followed their gut/heart/intuition/guidance, allowed themselves to be wildly creative, stood strong in their beliefs, nurtured dreams, carried forth and spread the wisdom that they had acquired and learned how to successfully collaborate with other women to create conscious change. Thank you Carolyn for offering me the chance to let my voice be heard. Thank you Mom for being the "petty tyrant" in my life that allowed me to dig deep into my OWN heart and soul for encouragement and endurance. Thank you to the women who co-authored this book with me for sharing your brilliance and your presence on my journey. Thank you to those women out there who decide to claim their power - to invest in this book - to take the time to really deeply immerse in the sacred stories contained within it - and to blow gently on the spark in their own heart to be agents of change to bring about a new world where everyone can be recognized and celebrated for their unique and divine brilliance and contribution to the planet.

Remarkable Book

Words cannot describe how profound this book is, how enlightening and encouraging the writers are and the most meaningful stories they share. I would recommend this book to anyone as we all need to continue to learn and grow from others!

Wonderful Women of the World

I love this book. Inspiring intrepid women, each sharing their own unique story of creativity, intuition, nurturing, strength or trailblazing. I particularly like the last chapter by the author, "Wisdom". This is a book that every woman would enjoy. Men too!

Enlightening!

Pretty red cover is eye-catching and cover art is really cool. I tore through the whole book in the short expanse of one weekend. There wasn't one story I read I was not impressed by. It was more like a "wow" reaction each time. It was my first time reading a book from this genre, but I can honestly say I found it refreshing and empowering. I really liked how it was divided into categories based on feminine traits, and the mantras that the author provides at the back of each section stuck with me long after I finished reading and digesting them. Definitely a good pick for ladies but I also hope some men will pick it up!

Women Inspiring Women

After waiting anxiously for weeks for my copy of "Women Will Save The World", I was so stunned and excited by the beautiful cover of the book, I didn't even read a single word of it for 10 minutes. The anticipation of what was waiting for me between those pages was palpable. I was not let down by one word of the book. The essays are outstanding and inspiring. The collection of essays presented by Caroline A. Shearer of women from all walks of life, is a truly beautiful collaborative effort. The women all wrote from their hearts and spared no embarrassing detail on their journey to discovering their feminine nature and what it means to them. Each essay is so specially and carefully crafted, it is hard to pick my favorite one. Beverly Soloman's essay, "Quest For Beauty" stands out in my mind because of the beautifully crafted words and the honesty of her story in which at a young age, she embraced her creativity, therefore discovering her femininity. "Women Will Save The World" has a piece of wisdom for each woman who reads it. The stories are honest and come from our peers, other women who have and are struggling in the same ways that we all are. This is a great read, and I recommend it to every woman.

I Hope Washington Reads This

I got my copy of Women Will Save The World this week, and couldn't have been more excited after reading a pre-book-release interview with the author. With all the noise questioning women's place in society, women's autonomy, and women's impact being made in the current political climate, it is a double-lung-full breath of fresh air to see a book celebrating the achievements and potential of everyday women be published. The book is divided into traits that different women have embodied through their work, whether it's in the creative field, the trailblazing path, or those who've made positive changes in the world through nurturing others. Under each trait, women of historical acclaim are profiled, followed by essays written by women living and working in the world today. My favorite is by Alicia Vargo, who not only founded a lingerie company that caters to women who've undergone surgery for breast cancer, but also founded a house for her employees to stay in rent-free if they were struggling to get on their feet financially. I hope this book gets read by both women and men, and is given to daughters who may be struggling, as is typical of young girls, to figure out what paths are available to them in life. (The answer: every path).
