The thing that makes this book different from other quilt books is the fact that the author is showing how to create larger blocks (thus "Quilt Big") than are usually used. I also like that the quilting projects provided here don't always just repeat the block over & over--they often feature some large areas of plain fabric that make the quilt blocks "pop."
The book has patterns for 19 different blocks, as well as 17 different projects that use the blocks. There is also a section on making the quilt backing. I found these to be unique designs and the fabric choices used for the photos were excellent. They really gave me good ideas for my own projects. Each set of instructions is simple but complete, and very easy to understand. Excellent diagrams are provided to show how to assemble the blocks and the projects.
I would definitely purchase this book to have in my quilting library. It's a nice basic reference everyone should have.
