Of course I couldn't resist reading Lovely Little Liar, it's written by one of my favorite authors. J. Kenner is an auto-click for me, I don't even need to read a synopsis. She's proven her word wizardry again and again. She never fails to deliver. And, I love running into some of my favorite characters that I met in other series in her stories.

This little novella is a jewel. Sexy man meets a sexy woman in need of security and their lust gets in the way of their business arrangement. Who doesn't love a forbidden romance, right? Sex with clients is not how he does business, so she's off-limits. But tell that to his cock who has other ideas. He doesn't want her forever, just for a night. Or so he tells himself...

She's learned her lesson, don't get involved and keep your personal business to yourself. But when life gets in the way of her best intentions she finds it hard not to give in to her desire. Their chemistry is undeniable and it takes everything she has to fight her attraction, especially when she can see her lust reflected in his eyes. She can't deny it when he tells her, "Aren't you a lovely, little liar."

As you can imagine, I was doing some serious mental matchmaking. The story is told from his POV, so it was his ear I was whispering into as I encouraged him to go for it. I'm thrilled to report that I will be seeing some of the amazing support characters again in future books. The author shamelessly teased me and I'm beside myself with excitement to read them. Lovely Little Liar is a previously released story by J. Kenner that has not only been renamed but extended and is also the start of a new series featuring the three Co owners of Blackwell-Lyon security, and it was an enjoyable read. That had minimal angst and easily held my interest throughout. Thanks to the likeable characters, and an engaging storyline. Plus, the romance between Jez and anti relationship Pierce was fun, sweet, and enjoyable to read, and I'm looking forward to reading more of these characters in the future.

Typical man! Pierce is meeting a blind date at a restaurant and all he can do as he waits in line to talk to the hostess is admire the woman in front of him and her legs! Mistaken identity, chemistry over the top, and misunderstood banter, he is soon in pursuit of those legs!

The attraction to Jez drives Pierce to reconsider how he feels about relationships. They are made for each other but they both have been burned before. Proceed with caution is all they can think of.

I am looking forward to more about this group of characters. They are new and refreshing!

Jez makes Pierce question everything, "...it really is fun. It’s great, just as it is. But I really have to go,” she adds, checking her watch. Then she practically bolts out of the trailer, and I drop back down on the couch." I liked this book, I loved Pierce.

What a great novella from j..kenner. I loved both characters they were easy to fall in love with! The banter between Pierce and Jezebell was a great segue into the amount of chemistry they have between them. While I wished the story was longer , it was an extremely well written novella.

Author J. Kenner has another winner with Lovely Little Liar, a sexy novella with terrific character development. This book was originally published under the title Bitch Slap, and is now better than ever with expanded scenes and some edits.

Jez and Pierce meet purely by accident, and instantaneously feel a sexual pull. Jez is the manager of her younger sister's acting career, and they are shooting on location in Austin. Due to a recent incident, the paparazzi never leave her sister alone, so Jez is on the hunt for a new security detail. Ironically, Pierce and a couple of his buddies own a successful security company, and adding a popular actress to their client list would be an incredible opportunity. Both Jez and Pierce have difficulty trusting, due to prior relationships in their lives. Jez hires Pierce's firm, and very quickly they fall into lust and love.

This is an exciting novella that I enjoyed immensely. All the characters are interesting and there was never a dull moment throughout the story. Jez and Pierce are a captivating couple and their genuineness pulled at my heartstrings. Their sexy times are quite hot. This is the first book from the author's Blackwell-Lyon series and it can be enjoyed as a stand alone.

I found this to be a lovely little story. I like a quick read that allows you to still develop a connection with the characters, and this book did so for me. I liked Pierce a lot; it took me a little longer to like Jez, but I got there. I loved that it was set in Austin, which is a town I live close to and love to visit. This is the first book I've read by this author, and I will definitely make an effort to read the other books in this series.

Who knew a case of mistaken identity could turn into so much more? Pierce Blackwell doesn’t date, he is waiting for his hook up, J, to show up at the bar when Jezebel ‘Jez’ Stuart shows up. Pierce thinks she is the J to his PB but he couldn’t be more off.
Both Pierce and Jez have ben hurt in the past when it comes to relationships, so when they form in instant connection it slaps them in the face and they fall hard and fast.
This was a quick and fun novella, it is also the start to a new series from J.Kenner. It gives you a great introduction to new characters and also mentions some familiar names from the Stark universe. This story is hot, steamy and sweet from the very beginning. There is no denying the insane chemistry between Pierce and Jez. Plus, despite being anti-relationship I love how sweet Pierce can be!
Since this is book one of a new series, you get a little hint of a something brewing between Pierce’s sister, Kerrie, and one of his business partners, Connor.
If you are a fan of J.Kenner this is definitely a must read novella.

The broody Pierce Blackwell meets Jezibel Stuart the meetings confused - until he figures it out and rides in to the rescue. Pierce and Jez - well their chemistry is combustible, but he's not a relationship kind of guy. Jez can indulge in Pierce while she's her because her life is beside her sister.
You just can't put this book down to see what happens next - you also get references and an appearance from characters from the World of Stark! That's we love J. Kenner, she so rocked it!

Pierce and his two friends own a security company in Austin, Texas. After Pierce got left at the alter, he has become a ladies man ... one night at a time. But when he accidentally meets Jez, he begins to rethink his love life. Jez just wants to protect her little sister (who is a movie star) from from crazed fans of her boyfriend ... who she cheated on. But when Jez meets a Pierce, she realizes she wants a life of her own.

This is a quick steamy romance. I laughed out loud when Pierce and Jez meet at the bar. Pierce is so arrogant I couldn’t help but like him. And Jez is a woman who isn’t easily persuaded. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for a Pierce’s business partners.
