I've received a ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Oddly enough, I did enjoy a lot more than I had originally expected I would. I love the supernatural element to the novel, time period, and likable characters. There's barely a romance nor any story line leading up to it but the sexual tension/erotica between Baron and Amanda made up for it. A easy quick read.

Blessed or cursed depending on one’s perspective, Amanda Von Steinser has a gift of premonition. While traveling with her family, she gazes into a future that she knows will change all their lives forever. Taught from an early age to hide her gift, Amanda says nothing, but when they find themselves stranded in a blizzard and at the mercy of Baron Wulfgar, Amanda knows her life, as well as those around her, is about to change suddenly…and not all will be pleased with the outcome.

Baron Wulfgar has battled the curse that has plagued his family for years. When he meets Amanda, the beast he’s been so desperately trying to hide awakens and recognizes what is his…and will claim at any cost.

This reader devours any and all stories that even hints at a Beauty & the Beast theme! Abby Gordon is a new to me author, and when I stumbled upon this story, I knew I had to read! Unleashed did not disappoint! Within a few short pages, I was transported to the wilds of Wulfgar’s estate, and drawn into a magical romance. Highly recommend this erotic novella and look forward to reading more of this series!

I received an ARC version of book in exchange for a honest review. All opinions are my own.

The review will be posted the Romance Dragon Blog http://the-romance-dragon.blogspot.com/?m=1. on 12/09/2018

I love shifter romances so when I saw the book, I had to read it. I wasn't disappointed. It has curses, magic, and an evil stepmother. It has the feel of an erotic fairytale romance. I read it in one sitting so that should tell you how much I liked the book.

I loved Wulfgar. He's strong and intense and everything I love in a hero. I had trouble connecting to Amanda at first but by the end of the book I loved her and felt she was perfect for Wulfgar.

This was the first book I've read from this author. I'm excited to read more by this author and would recommend the book to leave version of shifter romances.

I really liked this paranormal historical read. Wulfgar and Amanda are great characters with lots of depth. The story is fast-paced with lots of drama and plenty of steam. An entertaining read!

I enjoyed this story. The writing wasn't as sophisticated as some others, but the storyline was good. Really liked Wulfgar and love Amanda's powers. Hope this story continues.

This was a nice spin on a “beauty and the beast” storyline. The characters are VERY well developed and the book draws you in right away! I can’t wait for book two! I don’t like posting reviews that contain spoilers so all I would say is this a great book and you will love it. The heroine is relatable and you feel for her and the beast you love from the start as well.

Amanda, her father, stepmother and brother have been traveling and are on their way home when a blizzard starts. They are forced to stay at the estate of Baron Wulfgar Socton. He doesn't get much company and he likes it that way. When her father, Bettina, the young stepmother and Aaron, her brother who has no morals, start demanding things and are just rude, Amanda stands out for her gentleness and beauty. Wulfgar is not just a Baron but be works for the Crown and is a regular at Court. Amanda has secret powers that her father has tried to beat out of her. Wulfgar is a shifter and knows that Amanda is his beloved or mate. Now, her has to convince her. Some bad men kidnap Amanda, that's when his wolf is set free. So many secrets and new powers come about. I don't want to give too much away. Most of what I've written is in the first part of the book. I have been waiting for a historical shifter book for a long time. Loved this one. I received this book from Net Galley and Wild Rose Press for a honest review. The opinions expressed are my own.

I liked Unleashed by Abby Gordon - nice change of pace to a historical high-heat level paranormal romance. Amanda's family is truly awful to her, basically treating her as a servant or ignoring her. Traveling to their country home, they are waylaid by a storm and have to seek shelter with the Beast Baron - Wulfgar.
Wulfgar's tries to keep the beast inside him on a tight leash. He is instantly attracted when he meets Amanda - and his beast wants her too. Prophetic dreams begin to haunt Amanda and leave her confused - is Wulfgar the man for her? Will Wulfgar get over the pain in his past and love again?
Super sexy story - hot dreams, hot love scenes and well written. I would like to read additional books by this author. I enjoyed this one.

I love fairytale spin-offs, and the fact that this contained, basically, werewolves was a right bonus!

This book was a nice read for the day that contained anything from romance, to action and curses :D

A reluctant werewolf can’t stop himself when he hears the howls.
But he’s not the best part of this. Amanda is the kind of heroine I love: demure, almost bashful, but with an inner strength and fire.
As for him, I find it strange when the human and the animal within have separate voices, as though they’re truly not one single being.
For such a short novel there were many machinations, perhaps too many villains, and therefore too many characters to keep track of. One of the heel turns seemed too abrupt, and the sex scenes didn’t have all that much heat considering the supernatural aspects. Overall it was a relatively pleasant read, as long as the expectations weren’t too high.
