I have read all of Jodi Ellen Malpas’ books and enjoyed them so I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed with this....
What a book - a great story based on a nurse call Izzy and a guy called Theo. They meet and Theo becomes obsessed with Izzy. Like most of Jodi’s books there is an element of sex and submissive sex.
They both have a past but your kept in the dark about most of it until the last quarter of the book,
I’m a huge fan of Jodi’s work and was thrilled when I got the opportunity to read her latest book as a eARC.

I’ve not read many Jodi Ellen Malpas books, and that changes right now. I love my big strong alpha men, and Theo Kane, is just that. A man tortured by his past who finds solace in the touch of one woman, Izzy White. Izzy too has a tumultuous past and she too discovers that the touch of one man can make her feel like she’s never felt before. From two different worlds, yet they have so much in common. Written from Izzy’s perspective we share her doubts and fears as she navigates her life trying to avoid confrontation, then in one night Theo becomes her saviour. She’s relied on no-one but herself for so long, can she put her faith and trust in one man? Theo has sworn to protect her no matter what, but would he be so forthcoming with his promises if he knew the full story of her past? Wonderful writing, characters that I fell in love with, and a story that pulled me in from the first chapter. A story not for the faint hearted, violent and extremely graphic, exactly how I like it. Five sinfully sexy stars from me. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.

Wow, I love Jodi's books and can't get enough of her alpha's and Theo just blew me away, For me he was different from her other men, and Izzy i really felt for her and what she goes through but she's a strong character and i loved that about her. I loved everything about this book and stayed up really late to finish as i couldn't put it down. If you love Jem's books then this really is a must read for you.

This book is an emotionally dark book about two broken people who eventually find out how they for together. I was on the edge of my seat wondering what had happened to make them like this, and at about 80 odd % I was screaming "no! She can't do that!" at my kindle whilst cooking dinner! Both characters were relatable and Theo is lush. I thought I had him nailed but I was so wrong! This was an amazing standalone read that will leave you wanting more.

Gentleman Sinner starts out with a chance encounter between the dark and delicious Theo Kane and Izzy White a nurse while she is walking home from work late one night. He becomes a constant presence in her life whether she wants him there or not, but she soon realises that she cannot resist the temptation of the man and all of his persistence to get to know her. Both are broken, both hide secrets that neither wants to tell the other but that doesn't stop them having an amazing physical connection with each other. They have a slow burn chemistry that is off the charts. Theo is a man that Izzy knows she shouldn't get involved with but she just cannot help herself, as somehow they find that they both feel safe with each other and become each others lifeline.
I started out at the beginning of the book thinking here we go again, another controlling and stalkerish alpha male that has been done to death, but how wrong was I. Theo is a man like no other that i've read before. Yes he's a bad boy that dabbles on the wrong side of the law but he so very much more than that. As you get to know his character you get to see the deep hidden layers that he hides from the world, the deep love that he has for Izzy and the reasons for his need for a controlled environment. I double dare you not to fall in love with him!!!
Izzy was an amazing heroine, just the fact that she is a normal average woman, that has managed to fight back and make a life for herself after running from an horrendous past. The fact she questions why someone like Theo wants her, makes her humble and very human. As a reader it made it so easy for me to connect with her character. Plus she's a woman full of sass and I loved that about her.
After i'd finished reading this book I did feel that we were cut a little short on the details of what happened to Izzy, I would have liked to know a bit more about her but other than that the story was AMAZING! Gentleman Sinner definitely lived up to every expectation that I had and have come to expect from Jodi's writing.
If he ever has an opening but I doubt it (because he loves Izzy), all you ladies will want to go sinning with Theo Kane the "Gentleman Sinner".

I swear Jodi writes the most amazing alphas EVER. I think Theo is taking the top spot of my fave JEM alphas lol.

To start off with he's someone Izzy encounters. He kind of pissed me off every so often haha. But then the more I got to read the more I started to understand and love him.

Theo has his demons. But so does Izzy.

I seriously LOVED THIS WHOLE BOOK!!!

Izzy's best mate Jess and Theo's best mate Callum.... haha these two though 'I don’t know whether I want to fuck her or strangle her most.'

I'd love to see Jess and Callum have a book lol. That would be alot of fun haha.

I giggled, swooned, had to fan my face(hellooo hot sex scenes), gasped and had loads of those damn butterflies.

So I’ve only previously read 1 of Jodi Ellen Malpas’ books but when I saw this book come up for review I jumped at the chance. The cover is beautiful, simple yet it grabs your attention and after reading the book I can see how it fits the story perfectly.
The storyline in Gentleman Sinner is fantastic. Jodi created a world that I want to be apart of. There are some very dark elements to this story. Rape and extreme violence. Some readers might not be ok with this.
The thing that was a bit disappointing was Izzy revelation of what happened to her. Not the revelation itself but the way it was delivered. I would of liked more detail of what she went through. She said in the book that she was basically kept prisoner at one point but the details were kind of skimmed over. But it didn’t ruin my enjoyment of the story.
The characters in this book are amazing. Complex with layers you get to peel back and find out more.
Izzy is on of the best female characters I have read in a long time. She’s had a hard time in part of her life, but she has picked herself up, moved on with her life and has got a good career and future ahead of her.

What can I say about this man.
I love him.
I loved everything about his character. He hasn’t had an easy upbringing but he’s getting through life the only way he knows how.
These two characters make my heart happy. Their story had me gripped from page 1 and I was on the edge of seat the whole time reading. I couldn’t put the book down.
I love Izzy’s best friend Jess and Theo’s best friend Callum. I seriously hope they get their own book because it would be a one click book from me!

Oh my god, what a book! I love all JEM’s books, but this one—it exceeds them all! Theo is just whole lotta alpha perfection, and mine! Yep! I call dibs. I loved this from start to finish, i’d Highly recommend reading this!!!

Prepare yourself, you’re about to fall hard and fast for Theo Kane.

I think this may be Jodi’s darkest romance yet. Her other books have dark elements but they’re nothing compared to this book. I will warn you that this book does contain scenes of sexual assault, rape and violence that some readers may find distressing.

Once again I am in awe of Jodi’s storytelling. Her ability to write about such complex characters that you can not help but fall for is astounding.

I often struggle to connect with the female characters in romance genres, they can be quite... irritating. But I absolutely adore jodi’s heroines as much as I adore her alpha’s. And I have to say, Izzy is one hell of a Heroine.

It’s so hard for me to write this review, because I just want to ramble about all the things I loved, but I want to avoid spoilers, if I ramble, that’s not going to happen is it?

I will say though, this book is dark, intense, and ridiculously sexy. I will also say, Theo may have just knocked the rest of jodi’s alpha’s down a few pegs and stolen the top spot...

I know what your thinking... “how dare you... it’s not possible... no alpha can knock Jesse off the top spot...”

Well... I’ll let you make your own mind up.

Congratulations on yet another incredible book Jodi, you truly deserve the five stars given... now I’ll finish this review off with one very important question, are we going to get a book about Jess and Callum? Because I kinda need that in my life too!

Oh my holy Jesus! This was amazing! Like seriously amazing. Loved everything about it and literally felt every emotion possible. I read this in one sitting, in the bath wrinkled like a prune and topping up the hot water constantly. Wish I could read it all over again.

I am usually a bit stingy with my 5* reviews but have given this 5* because I liked all the characters - main and side and just got really engrossed in the book.

I love the This Man series and this book comes a close second. I loved Theo, I loved Izzy and I loved them together. There was insta connection but this is the book world so I am OK with this. Theo was most definitely alpha but an alpha with a heart - not quite up to Jesse standard but then again who could be?

Both characters had flaws and both characters were broken but together they worked. I would love a book about Callum and Jess - think there is something going on there!

Another added bonus to this book is that there is a really satisfying epilogue.

A great read and a standalone which is nice.
