I have been eagerly anticipating the final instalment of the Bradford sisters trilogy and this book does not disappoint. It has it all - snapping chemistry between Britt and Zander, a brisk plot that has lots of action going on, chocolate sprinkled lavishly throughout the story - even some Nikki to lighten up the mood! Ms Wade should be very proud of herself for this - she's managed to make Zander and Britt seem like real friends that I would know. And the description of the panic attack was very accurate (at least to my experiences, it was!)! Bravo!
Fortunately, I've already ordered a copy of this book for my Christian Fiction section of the public library where I work, and it's a good thing too as I've already started recommending it to patrons!
Thank you for a fantastic book, Ms Wade! I look forward to reading more of you in the coming years.

Sweet on You by Becky Wade is the third and final book in A Bradford Sisters Romance. Britt Bradford runs a successful chocolate shop, and her best friend, Zander Ford returns to town after being away for several years to bury his uncle. It turns out that Zander's uncle death was not due to natural causes, and Britt and Zander seek to discover the truth and find a double life. Wade succeeds again in creating irresistible chemistry between Britt and Zander as they discover they really are more than friends. She does make a few mistakes in using the 1970 U.S. Census as the 1940 U.S. Census is the most current one available. Her description of microfilm scanner was not correct, but these small errors are only noticeable to a librarian. I eagerly await Wade's next series.

This is the first book I’ve read of Becky Wade’s, and the third installment of the Bradford Sisters Trilogy.
It took me several attempts to get into the storyline, but once I did I quite enjoyed the light read that it was. Britt is a master chocolatier and spends her days creating chocolate masterpieces for her chocolate shop. When Zander Ford best friend and bestselling author, returns home for his uncle’s funeral both Britt and Zander are forced to face the reality of their changing friendship. Questions arise surrounding his uncle’s death and following those questions lead Britt and Zander to uncovering a dangerous secret.
I enjoyed the banter between the two main characters but after a while, Britt’s character frustrated me. She was definitely driven by her fears and refused to share details of her life with Zander that had happened while he had been traveling abroad. Even after family and friends encourage her to come clean, Britt still refuses to do so and at that point I wanted to throw the book down and stop reading. However, there was still the uncle’s secret that I wanted to find out about so this is what kept me going, not so much the romance between Zander and Britt.
For my reading enjoyment, it was the mystery of the uncle’s death that made it worthwhile. Although, when I found out how everything was resolved I wasn’t overly impressed. A key secondary character made the whole thing pull together and could have stopped everything very early on in the novel and I found myself wondering why the author chose to wait until the end for that character to pull the plug and reveal all. I suppose it wouldn’t have been as fun reading if it happened too soon.
Descriptions and dialogue were well done and believable. I was a bit confused as to the relationship between all the characters, but I’m sure if I read the previous two books in the series I wouldn’t have a problem understanding all the connections.
I received an ecopy from the publisher through NetGalley. All opinions expressed are my own.

This novel was an exciting read. Can friends be more than friends? Or will they lose everything? What happens when they team up to solve answers to a truth revealed about someone they care about? This book has old friends, mystery, suspense, and a sweet storyline. I enjoyed the craftsmanship of the mystery and the development of the characters, their conflicts, and their relationship. The book is well paced and I found it difficult to put down.

Wow. This book has long been anticipated and it did not disappoint! Wade delves into the hidden grip anxiety holds on a person in the character of Britt. Unequivocal devotion is threaded through Zander and his character is so tightly wound he almost springs off the pages! This book held me captive from beginning to end with its highly charged tension between the two. Britt’s pivotal moment was inspiring and brought tears to my eyes. More than once my breath hitched when reading the mesmerizing prose Wade is so well known for.

Sweet on You is a beautiful story of love and self-discovery. I highly recommend this book but you’ll get a lot more out of it if you read the entire series.

I have been eagerly anticipating the third and final title of The Bradford Sisters Romance trilogy, Sweet on You, detailing the relationship of best friends Britt Bradford and Zander Ford. I was thrilled when I realised that the title was available via NetGalley and the publisher approved my request with a complimentary prerelease copy for preview and honest review. It did not disappoint.

Britt is the youngest of the Bradford sisters, and if you know the background on the family, you can understand that although she's just as pampered as the others, she carries a little bit of unwarranted guilt that leads to ridiculous independence and the need to stand on her own two feet. Zander has been her best friend harbouring a love interest in Brit since high school and she just doesn't see it. As they continue into adulthood, he's had enough and realises that he can't stand the pain of watching her flit in and out of meaningless relationships. Cue the dramatics as they explore whether a real romantic relationship is in their best interest and the suspense as they explore the suddenly exposed knowledge that Zander's recently deceased uncle was concealing many dangerous secrets.

Wade does a remarkable job of balancing the fear and angst of a friendship heading into a romance with the hope that all will flourish. She weaves a perfect blend of drama, romance, and suspense into a well-rounded, easy-to-read novel that tips into delightful with the must-have happily ever after. The whole series, including this title, are engaging and absolutely perfect for lakeside reading this summer!

Wow.

Read Then Came You, True to You and Falling for You, and then read this book. Wow.

People love to write headstrong, spunky, independent heroines. They're smart, fun, and what many of us dream we could be like. But to be honest, I get a little tired of them, as they rarely feel truly real. Britt Bradford is the epitome of headstrong, spunky, and independent, but unlike so many other heroines who answer to that description, she feels 100% real. Her flaws aren't limited to impulsively doing idiotic things that could get her killed--she has deep-seated pride. She's the strong one, the one who is never badly hurt, the one who stands strong for those who are. As different as my personality is from hers, I identified more with her (or rather, her flaws) than I have with a heroine in long time. When one is used to being the strong one--the one who stuffs the disappoints deep inside to be the strength for those who aren't strong--it's so hard to release it. To open up, be vulnerable, and share. To not be strong all the time. When Britt is finally forced to confront her flaws, it's powerful. And hard--seeing one's flaws splayed across a page isn't exactly fun, but it can be cathartic too.

At the same time, I also identified with Zander's introversion, and his struggle to hope:
When you prayed for something every day and heard nothing but silence for more than a decade, it ground down your hope like corn into cornmeal. Zander had begun to wonder if God could still be good while denying him the one thing he prayed for most. Could he depend on a God who refused to give him what he'd waited years for?
The right answer was yes. God was still good. God was still dependable. However . . .
Maybe not everyone has dreams that they've been waiting on for years, but I think a great many of us do. And that's the perfect description when one has been waiting . . . and waiting . . . hoping, yet losing hope in each passing year. And knowing that God is still good and dependable through it all, even though it hurts.

The characters are great. The story is fun and exciting--more suspenseful than we typically see from the author! It's both humorous and cuts deep to the heart of an issue. And wow, can Zander speak when he lets his heart do the talking . . . He's wasted writing thrillers. Romance should be his genre. I highly recommend this book!

Thank you Bethany House and NetGalley for the complimentary e-book. I was not required to write a positive review, and all opinions are my own.

Chocolate. The word that is most ladies’ favorite word. But chocolate is so generic. there is sweet, creamy milk, chocolate. Bitter, rich dark chocolate. Sometimes to get the richness of dark chocolate, one has to put up with the bitterness. I found Sweet on You by Becky Wade to be like dark chocolate. There was a lot of good, rich, even sweet story inside; however, there was also a bitter taste in parts that I didn’t like so much. First, let’s discuss the bitter parts and then get on to the good part. When I read Christian fiction, I read it assuming that the Christian characters will act like Christians. However, there were several instances where Britt who is supposed to be a Christian, does not act like one. She gets drinks alcohol and even gets drunk, and it is mentioned that she cursed when she cut her finger. But nothing is said about these actions being wrong. It’s just passed over as if there was no problem with her doing these things. This bothered me and made the book have a very bitter taste to me. Now, on to the good richness of the book. The number one item I enjoyed in this book…the chocolate! I had to eat several pieces of chocolate to get through the book because every time Britt makes chocolate I couldn’t continue until I had a piece of chocolate. This was definitely not a problem since I had a bag of Ghirardelli chocolates to consume. Another, more important aspect of the book that made it rich, was the lesson Britt learns about not depending on herself. How it’s okay and necessary to depend on God. It was not given in a preachy way, but in a way that just fit with the whole story. I also enjoyed the sweetness of the story that the romance between Zander and Britt added. The patience that Zander displays towards Britt was amazing. Overall, I enjoyed the book, but there was always that bitter flavor hanging over it, that I could have done without.

I would recommend this to those who love chocolate and contemporary romances if they can overlook the problems that I mentioned before.

Sweet on You was a fantastic conclusion to this series. I got to read it right on the heels of finishing Falling for You, so the scene where Zander announced his departure for a World Tour of sorts was fresh in my memory. I loved the way their friendship and the tension of Zander trying to keep his feelings to himself for the sake of their friendship worked out through the novel. His character reminded me a bit of Joanne Bischof's MC in the Lady and the Lionheart - It's not very often you run into a CF character with sleeves, but the story of his tattoos adds this fascinating depth to how I picture him as a world-traveling author writing suspense.

Similar to the previous installments in the series, Sweet on You features a crime mystery that the characters are out to solve. While maintaining that "Contemporary Christian Romance" feel that we all know and love, each of these books have thrown in a little "something extra" to keep it interesting with this subplot. In the case of Sweet on You, it's the question of, "What on earth did Zander's Uncle do before he married Zander's aunt?" And the answer might be a little less than straightforward, pitching Zander and Britt into interesting circumstances that put Britt exactly where she hopes never to return (fearing for her life) and cause them question whether there might be more for them than friendship in their future.

Filled with great romantic tension, heart-racing mystery and action, and relatable life lessons about trusting God and leaning on others, I think you'll enjoy Becky Wade's newest release about friends-to-more.

Sweet on You is the third book in Becky Wade's Bradford Sisters series. This is the story of Britt and Zander and I have been looking forward to their story since we met them in the first book of the series (True to You). Britt and Zander are best friends and everyone can see they are meant to be together except Britt. Zander moves away for over a year and only returns because of mysterious circumstances surrounding his uncle's death. This story really shows us Britt and Zander's friendship and I think it comes off as very realistic and believable. I really enjoyed reading about their changing relationship and both main characters' reactions to it. Friends to lovers stories are always at the top of my list and this one did not disappoint. It was a very sweet, believable story.

Britt and Zander are characters I loved in Mrs. Wade's other books and I was so happy to see she was coming out with a book about them specifically.
Character development in this series is fantastic, this book is like an emotional roller coaster ride and you will not regret reading it!

Oh my goodness! This book was absolutely wonderful! Where do I even begin?

I've watched Zander's intense devotion to best friend Britt and her complete ignorance of his love for her since the very first book. I've been rooting for them, wanting to shake Britt and force her to see the wonderful man standing right in front of her. I've been so anxious for this book, y'all. I expected it to be great, but it far exceeded my already high expectations. It was everything I was hoping for and so much more.

There were some twists and turns that I was not expecting which I totally loved. The mystery element was superb and definitely kept me on my toes. And I was so happy that Grandma was back, just as feisty and opinionated as ever.

Sweet on You is one of the best contemporary romances I've read and my favorite “friends to lovers” one, for sure. I'd highly recommend this book to everyone. It's awesome! It can totally standalone, but I'd still recommend starting with the first one. This whole series has been excellent. And what a conclusion!

I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. All thoughts and comments are my honest opinion.

Oh, Britt.. oh, Zander...
Your story has been looooooooong coming! And I completely loved it <3

Five hundred and eleven days have passed since the last time Zander Ford had seen his best friend Britt. She knows him best, all his dreams and quirks, including his tendency to close every door he sees open. What she doesn't know is that for as long as they've known each other and his biggest reason to go on his grand tour was to shut the door that bothers him most but he can't close it: the door to his heart that seems to have welcomed her in more ways than "just friends".However, a family tragedy calls him home too soon, and as soon as he sees Britt, he knows he hasn't achieved the sense of closure he longs for because it's impossible for her to love him back as he loves her.

What makes you take a second turn to look at the person you’ve known your entire life only to realize you might not have known them at all? Britt sees Zander struggling with this question as they uncover layer after layer that point to the uncle who gave him a sense of family not being who he's told them he was. Just as disconcerting? The second looks she's been giving her best friend, Zander. The person who knows her best has flourished without her. Or was it always there and she's only now starting to grasp?

Britt Bradford is known to run on endorphins, from mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, and from boyfriend to boyfriend. She loves the thrill. She's independent and determined not to be a yolk to anyone. And she loves wholeheartedly. What she hasn't been enjoying? Feeling defenseless. Feeling recently that she needs to put twice the effort to be self-sufficient. Feeling like she'll crumble one day in front of Zander.

Wade completely wrote true to what the characters were feeling. Once again, she has captivated me with her humor and thoughtfulness, bringing us face-to-face with the characters own fears and struggles that many times reflect our own.

Their journey isn't a quick insight into who they've been so far and the only person they want to be when taking the next step - powerless, broken, dependent, anchored in love. Their journey is like a powerful thunder that shakes the earth and scares you but also brings brilliant light that allows you to see. It's like sweetest rain that falls washing away everything that shouldn't be only to leave the firmest foundation.

I've read the ending again and again and again. I'm so sorry to see this series finish.
But I'm happy I can go back to it anytime I want. Always.
I'm happy to have grown with the characters, to learn to let go, and to feel closer to the One who always has my back. Always.

Britt Bradford. Adventurous, genius, creative, fun, brave, persistent Britt.
Zander Ford. Wry, witty, brooding, smart, steadfast, loyal Zander.

They are known as inseparable. And they have a history places they've visited together, a food playlist of what they've cooked together, memories of all the times they've been there for each other, to call out when necessary and to cheer for. What they are not used to is to tension around them that goes deeper than disagreement, but regrets and things unsaid.

Zander hoped that his grand tour would help him forget his romantic notions of Britt.
Britt hoped his grand tour would be everything he ever dreamed of, though it hurt in the core of her being to not have him in her daily life. But she won't complain, won't be a whiner. Her independence is the center of who she is, it's her proudest gift. And it has almost cost her too much. Nevertheless, Britt doesn't deal well with fragility, that's why she's decided to move on and let go, to be who she's always known herself to be.

In a race to uncover all the layers of Zander's uncle's secret and all the threat they can mean to his family, Zander will once again be confronted with his biggest threat: Britt's presence. And Britt will find herself ready to collapse into one of the most stable arms in her life in a way she has never before, which scares to pieces. Through it, though, Britt might just find out that a broken heart is beautiful because it allows love to overflow in and out.

SWEET ON YOU by BECKY WADE is the third novel in the Bradford Sisters trilogy, but it can be read as a stand alone. I am glad, however, that I have read the books in sequence, and I recommend that you do the same.
There is a lovely cameraderie between the Bradford sisters who have grown up in a loving family, although their history is not without great sadness. Britt is the youngest and the only one whose birth mother is still alive, which makes her feel unwarranted guilt. This, combined with the Irish blood she inherited from Kathleen, leads to her having a fiercely independant spirit and the feeling that she she must be the strong one in every situation.
Zander, on the other hand, had a most unhappy childhood until he was taken in by his Uncle Frank and Aunt Carolyn. He loves them and is deeply grateful to them for treating him and his brother as the sons they never had. He and Britt have been best friends since school, and he has been secretly in love with her since then. He is dependable to a fault, hardworking and brilliantly clever.
The story starts with him coming home from overseas for his Uncle Frank's funeral. As he and Britt work together to find out the unusual circumstances surrounding his uncle's death, their relationship begins to change. I particularly love the way that they each find out that the Lord is always with them and grow closer to Him as they try to make some sense about what they are going through.
It is a delightful read in which the author really makes us get to know the characters, warts and all! The dialogue is great and I particularly like the text messages, journal entries and school notes that are dotted between the chapters.
I was given a free copy of the book by NetGalley from Bethany House Publishers. The opinions in this review are completely my own.

As a fan of Becky Wade’s writing, I can only say she has once again written a story with wonderful characters that I yearn to meet and a story line that entertains and surprises.
This third book of the Bradford sisters finally discloses the inner thoughts and longings of Zander. And he is not to be missed! And we get to see Britt who is prides herself in being highly independent and self-controlled find her true strength through weakness.
The lesson I will remember from this book is from Britt, “I’m grateful. The God I’ve come to lean on understands me better than I understand myself.”
Things you will miss if you don’t read this book:
• Hilarious conversations involving grandmother and Vilentina “their conversations reminded him of a trip through a circus funhouse”
• An incredible desire to make or eat chocolate
• A heart stopping moment solving the mystery
• A highly principled tattooed man made of hope and love
• Toe tingling kisses
• Texts, high school notes, journal entries and letters
• The wonderful conclusion to the Bradford sisters’ series
This book is a wonderful mix of romance, humor and a well woven mystery. I recommend it highly.
I received a complimentary copy to read by NetGalley and Bethany House (thank you) but the opinions are entirely my own.

I knew going into this one that I was going to love it. I'd loved Nora and John's story (True To You), I'd loved Willow and Corbin's story (Falling For You), I'd adored the two novellas, and I loved all the glimpses we were given of both Britt and Zander in the previous books. I couldn't wait to dive into this one, and it ended up being everything I was hoping for and more.

Britt and Zander's story is a little different from the previous books in the series in that it's a best friends romance. Britt and Zander have been best friends since high school, only Zander has been carrying a torch for Britt the entire time. Britt's friends have long insisted that Zander has feelings for her, but she always shoots them down, as she doesn't want to end up losing one of the most important people in her life. At the start of Sweet on You, Zander's returning from his globe trotting journey after the life altering news that his uncle Frank who basically raised him has suddenly passed away. Zander's intense feelings for Britt were one of the main reasons he left in the first place, and they haven't changed in the time he's been away. Returning home to help his aunt means seeing Britt again, and he's quickly realizing that being around her as a friend gets harder and harder each time. When the investigation into his uncle's death brings unknown parts of his life to light, Zander and Britt set out to reveal the story once and for all. Along the way they'll have to confront the feelings that have been long building between the two of them, and keep themselves out of the dangerous can of worms they may have just opened about Frank's life before he met and married his wife.

I know to expect great things when I pick up a Becky Wade book, and Sweet on You is another reminder as to why she's one of my favorite authors. The romance is swoon worthy, the lead characters are both realistic and quirky, the writing is beautiful and addictive, the mystery keeps you on the edge of your seat, and there is just enough bits of comedic relief thrown in to keep the story completely entertaining. I love Christian romances to begin with, and this is one of the very best by one of the very best. It's stinking adorable from start to finish, and a perfect wrap up to the Bradford Sisters. If you're a fan of romance, romantic suspense, or swoon worthy book boyfriends, then definitely give this one a go.

I love the authentic way that the faith element is always written into Becky Wade's novels, and Britt and Zander learning to let go, and let God was one of the most heartwarming parts of the story.

I'm happy to say that Sweet on You was one of my most anticipated releases for this year, and it lived up to every single one of my expectations. It gets a perfect five star rating from me, and I would re-read it in a heartbeat!

I am sad that this is the last Bradford sister romance. I have immensely enjoyed reading Nora, Willow, and now Britt's story. I love the relationship between these sisters, and how they truly love each other.

Britt's story made me want all the sweets. She makes chocolate for a living, yum! I also liked how this book decided to tackle the challenge of long-term friends becoming more than friends. I think that Wade did a great job of showing how the friendship emotions could get in the way of romantic feelings because of the desire to not lose this great relationship.

This story is also heavy on the mystery. I did enjoy this aspect, but I did feel like the ending detracted a bit from the overall love story because there was such a focus on the mystery that I felt the love getting a bit lost. However, I still really enjoyed both aspects of this book.

Sweet on You is the third book in the Bradford Sister series. I have been wanting to read Brit's story since the first book. Each of the sisters have different talents. Brit's talent is candy making. Brit's best childhood friend is Zander. Zander has been in love with Brit since they were young teens. Everyone knows Zander is crazy in love with her even though he has not admitted it. Everyone sees it except Brit. I loved Zander from the get go. He was so protective of her. He's been gone for a few months promoting his book overseas but really he just wanted to get away from the pain of seeing the girl he loved date other people. He only returns to the states because of the death of his uncle. I loved this stories of best friends falling in love and this one fits the bill. Another reason I liked this story was the mystery surrounding his uncle. His uncle has a hidden past that even his wife was not aware of. I loved the conclusion of this story and the series. It was also good to catch up on the other sisters and their significant others. Sweet on You is due to be released on April 30, 2019. I received a complimentary copy of this book from Bethany House through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

My Review:

Genre: Romance, Christian fiction, suspense.

My Rating: 5 stars.

My Recommendation: 16 up for romance.

My Favorite Character/s: Zander! He's a writer, (that's kind of a duh moment for me... :D). And Britt! She makes chocolate, what better pair then a writer and a chocolateier? It's the kind of a match made in chocolatey stories. I'm writing really stupid descriptions, aren't I? Yeah, yeah, yeah, back to Zander, he's a great guy; his care and love for Britt is soooooooooooooooo sweet! I do wish I had the ability to write as much as he does though. He's the perfect fictional writer from a hard start in life.

My Verse for Zander is 1 Peter 5:7
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. (King James Version.)

Britt, the wounded and independent Britt, I'm not sure where to start with her. She's sweet in her own way (aka sharing chocolate,) and her fighting spirit was fierce!

My Verse for Britt is Luke 6:31
And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. (King James Version.)

My Thoughts: The cover is so pretty, if a bit sappy for my tastes but look at the beautiful colors and that dress so pretty! And the pages hidden under that cover are even better, I love the opening scene and I loved the whole book up until the last word, always . . . I love this book so much and I badly want to get my hands on a paperback, which is not something I want to do often for a romance because though I love a good romance I couldn't care less if it's Kindle or paperback unless I love the book! And I do soooooooooooooooooooooooo much, this book is soooooooooooooo good and I'm sure you're done with me saying soooooooooo soooooooooo much so I'm done with my review.

Britt is the youngest of the Bradford sister’s. She is strong and very independent, not wanting to rely on others. Some may even call her a little to independent.
Zander is a smart and lovable man. Always caring for and helping others, especially is best friend Britt.
I absolutely Loved Britt and Zander’s story. Watching and waiting to see if they could transition from best friends to more.
I love that element of suspense that was woven into this story. Always kept me coming back and wanting to find out what happens. There was many sweet, loving and touching moments also. Moments that had me laughing and smiling like crazy and even heart melting moments that had me swooning.
There were a couple of parts that touched me personally and reminded me of God’s unconditional love and forgiveness. I Love how Becky Wade is able to wrap so much into her stories, to make you feel some many different emotions, yet still include life lessons or reminders along the way. This was a wonderful book, that I greatly loved. I have enjoyed this series along the way and will miss them all. I definitely plan on revisiting them and Merryweather!!

Phenomenal! I'd rate this book 10 stars if I could. The relationship between Xander and Britt was so fun. A friends-to-something-more trope can be tricky to pull off, and Becky Wade handled it with her trademark wit, humor, unique setting and swoon-worthy romantic scenes. I enjoyed the art heist subplot, regular appearances by familiar characters from previous books in this series, and most importantly, the incredible character journey of both Britt and Xander. Their spiritual struggles felt very applicable to real life. Wade plumbed the depths of their internal conflict to create an amazing experience for readers. I laughed and cried and felt incredibly emotional over the resolution of a series about fictional characters. To me, that's the mark of great writing, when I finish the last page with a satisfied sigh and a twinge of bittersweet regret that it's over. Well done, Becky Wade!

Zander Ford has loved Britt Bradford since ninth grade. Thirteen years later they are still best friends, but Zander has never told Britt how he feels because it's clear that she doesn't feel the same. When the success of his first novel allows Zander the chance to travel, he takes off a world tour hoping it will help him get Britt out of the prominent place she's held in his heart.

Master chocolatier Britt runs her own chocolate shop, dates as many men who are interested, and enjoys mountain biking and kayaking. She loves her independence. She misses Zander and doesn't quite understand his sudden need to trot the globe, but she's happy for him. As dismayed as she is when his trip is cut short by his uncle's death, she's very glad to see him again.

Though it looks like Zander's uncle Frank died of a heart attack, the autopsy reveals that Frank Pierce was not the man everyone thought he was. Confused and determined to uncover the real identity of the man who took him in when he needed him most, Zander sets off on a quest to backtrack his uncle's life. Of course Britt is by his side every step of the way, and though his time away was almost entirely for the purpose of distancing himself from her, he's found it just makes it harder for him to keep his feelings hidden.

A strong element of suspense comes into play when it looks like Frank's past may have involved one of the most famous unsolved crimes in Washington State's history. Zander is driven to know the truth, while trying to protect Britt and his family from any former criminal cohorts who may also be closing in. Meanwhile Britt is beginning to look at Zander a little differently. He's always been one of the most special people in her life, and she's starting to realize how rare that is. She doesn't want to risk their longstanding friendship by doing anything stupid like falling in love with him, but with the way things have suddenly grown a bit awkward it may be too late to salvage what they once shared so effortlessly.

I quite enjoyed this book. I will say that at some points Britt makes some really stubborn decisions which I did not like, but thankfully they did not harm her too much. The thing that really made the book soar was the spiritual journeys of each of the characters. Zander feels like his unanswered prayers and constantly disappointed hopes where Britt is concerned have made him lose sight of God's vast and personal care of him. For Britt's part, she has tried so hard for so long to establish her self-reliance and not have to depend on anyone, not even God. Maybe not even when He's the only one who can help her. Independence can lead to its own form of slavery when it involves not letting anyone close. The walls and the distance in their hearts must be overcome before anything more could truly develop in their relationship.

The Bradford Sisters Romance series comes to an exciting conclusion that no Becky Wade fans will want to miss.

I received my copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions in this review are my own.

I LOVED this book. It was wonderful to read Britt's story. Zander is a unique hero. The guy next door, who is wounded, but rises above again and again. The heroine is slow to acknowledge the love she has for him is more than friendship. Such a sweet story and truly perfection. I loved it!

This book is my favorite to date by Becky Wade!
Best friends falling in love, what could make for a better story? Zander and Britt have been best friends for such a long time....the only problem is that he's loved her for just as long...and she's had no idea.
Now, however, things are about to change. Why does Britt feel like she's starting to crush on Zander? And what is this going to do to their friendship?
I love seeing their relationship...how they work through their difficulties...how they grow...and how they both can finally admit to their real feelings for each other.

I also love, loved the suspense that is a part of this story! Completely unexpected, and such great twists and turns! I had no idea what was coming, or how it would all play out. I think Ms. Wade should seriously consider writing only romantic suspense in the future!!

Sweet on You is book three in the Bradford Sisters Romance series, and was written by Becky Wade.
Summary: Britt Bradford loves creating intricately flavored chocolates for her own little shop. What she doesn’t know, is that her best friend of thirteen years-loves her.
Zander Ford is back in town after eighteen months of traveling the world, and those long months haven’t changed his feelings one bit.
Unfortunately, a tragedy is what draws him back. Can he maintain his friendship with Britt without letting on his true feelings? And what about the mysterious details surrounding the death of his uncle? Is there more there than meets the eye?
My Thoughts: Becky Wade is a fantastic author, and I have been anxiously awaiting the next book in this series. It doesn’t disappoint. There is romance, action and adventure, and mystery. This is one of my favorite reads this year.
It is well-written, the characters are interesting, and there are plenty of twists and turns throughout the book. I loved it.
I don’t think you would need to read the previous books to enjoy this one, but I highly recommend reading them because they contain a lot of backstory, and are wonderful books as well.
This is a definite buy in my book-so go pick it up!
I would like to thank Bethany House for providing me with a digital copy of this book in exchange for my unbiased review. Thank you!

I requested the opportunity to read and review this book because I had become familiar with the author, Becky Wade, through her Pinterest challenges with author Katie Ganshert. Based on the title I had expected a sweet romance, which it was, but I was very pleased to discover that it was also based around a mystery. I truly enjoyed Sweet on You and its theme of giving up self-reliance for reliance on God. Our culture esteems those who display self-reliance, but in actuality it is stepping out in faith to rely on God that matters most. This story is only made more endearing by the fact that the female main character is a master chocolatier and the male an up and coming author. A winning combination indeed!

I am grateful to have received a copy of Sweet on You from Bethany House via NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion. I was under no obligation to write a positive review and received no monetary compensation.

Ahhh! Zander! Britt and Zander's story does not disappoint. In fact, it goes well beyond what I was thinking it would be. Loved this third and final installment of this series. But be warned, better grab some chocolate before you read because you will definitely want some. Britt is as independent as they come. She is adventurous and loves to create chocolate. She has been best friends with Zander since....well since forever. She befriended Zander when his world was falling apart and that friendship has grown strong and steady. Problem is, Zander's world is once again coming unwound. The loving family he thought he had in his Aunt and Uncle isn't so cut and dried anymore and sends him down a path of discovery. And that friendship with Britt? That is coming unwound too as Zander realizes that he can no longer control his emotions around Britt, he loves her. But he knows Britt doesn't feel the same way. The story grabs hold of my curiosity and you want to know what is going on with Zander's family. At the same time, who cares about that when all I want is to see Britt and Zander together as a couple, not just friends. This will definitely be a read again book for me.

I have to admit that I’m a bit sad to write this review because it means the Bradford Sisters Series has concluded. * Insert sobbing * BUT! What a grand finale it was! Sweet on You was everything fabulous and get ready for my intense gushing.

There are so many things to love about this novel that I’m not exactly sure where to begin. But here goes. As a chocolate enthusiast I adored that Britt owned a chocolate shop called Sweet Art. This book should really come with a disclaimer stating: Beware - reading this novel will cause extreme chocolate cravings. Because sure enough, I wasn’t halfway into the story before I donned my chef hat and whipped up some sweet treats.

Another thing I adored about this story is Britt’s character arc. At first glance, she appears a bit on the shallow side, but as the story progresses the undertones of her actions revealed to me her depths. Her layers became visible. I would venture to say that I’ve never seen as much growth and maturity develop in this author’s heroines than what’s accomplished in Britt. Her “aha moment” was powerful and moving.

I can’t conclude this review without mentioning Zander. His steadfast love for Britt, even knowing it was unrequited, reminded me a lot of Christ’s love for us. It’s constant. Unchanging no matter how we act. Zander’s protective nature, amusing wit, and his steady admiration for Britt was endearing.

Combine all these factors with an intriguing mystery and you have one stellar story. While I’m still sad this series has come to an end, I can’t help but be excited for what this author will bring to the table next!

*I was given a copy by the author. All opinions are my own.

I loved True to You, the first book in this series, and I’ve been waiting two long years to read Britt and Zander’s story. Zander was the secondary character who most caught my attention in True to You, so I wanted to know more about him and his unrequited love for Britt.

But when I started the story, I was in that strange place of desperately wanting to read it, but also not wanting to read it … because once I’ve finished it, then the series will be over. And that brought a major reader dilemma: did I want to read it slowly and savour the experience, or did I want to read it quickly to find out what happens.

Okay, I have no self-control when it comes to Becky Wade, so I read it quickly.
On the surface, Sweet on You is a sweet (!) romance about a chocolatier and the novelist who has loved her for close on half his life … and she’s never noticed. Underneath, it’s a story about overcoming the lies we believe about who we are, about finding ourselves in God, and about becoming the people he meant us to be.

Britt’s problem is that she is independent—too independent, in that she’s never learned to depend on God. I suspect this is a problem for a lot of modern women, who have been raised to be independent rather than depending on fathers or husbands. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it does mean that we forget we’re supposed to trust and depend on God.

Zander’s problem is the same, but from a different angle.
He’s been praying Britt would fall in love with him for years, yet God hasn’t answered that prayer (I’m sure we all have prayers we’ve prayed for years that God hasn’t answered yet). Zander has allowed that to separate him from God:

“He hadn’t worshipped from a place of gratitude. He’d worshipped from a place of duty.”

I suspect that’s also true of many people. And it’s these internal issues that make Sweet on You such an excellent example of Christian fiction. Let’s face it, I’ve known for two years that Britt was eventually going to fall for Zander. I’ve been looking forward to it, because I love the friends-to-something-more plot. And that played out more or less how every friends-to-more romance plays out.

There was also a suspense plot, which I enjoyed because I’ve always loved romantic suspense. That element of the was less predictable (good) and meant there were external events driving Britt and Zander together. This is the aspect of the plot which kept me reading … but it’s not the element I’m thinking about now I’ve finished.

What makes Sweet on You different is the Christian element, the way it allows us to explore some of the lies of the modern world, and to better understand God’s solutions.

I think I’m going to have to read it again to understand this even better. This time I’ll read slowly.

I’ve been craving chocolate since I read this book. I could smell and taste the chocolate concoctions that Britt made. This third book in this series is best read in order. It could stand alone, but you will get so much more out of it when you know the back stories of her parents and sisters. Britt is such a fun spitfire, although she did frustrate me as well. Zander is such a brilliant non-traditional hero! Their story has been well worth the wait! Becky Wade sets the bar for contemporary romance. I recommend Sweet on You!

Whenever I read a Becky Wade book I know that I’m in for an exciting and emotional ride. However, I had no idea just how much that would prove to be true in Sweet on You! It’s full of all of the passion and faith-building moments that I love, but this story is especially delicious! It has a tattooed, dark-haired, blue-eyed hero, detailed descriptions of chocolate, yummy romance, and even some tense action scenes!

Poor Zander, the aforementioned brunette, has been in love with Britt for over a decade. Britt has been completely oblivious which is sort of forgivable because she’s been busy establishing a gourmet chocolate shop that sounds so delicious that it makes my mouth water.

Zander has returned to Washington after his uncle dies suddenly, leaving a mystery for his family to untangle. While he was away, Britt has started to realize how much she’s missed his presence in her life. As they work together to uncover Zander’s uncle’s past, they are forced to confront their feelings and decide what it means for their future. While their childhoods were quite different from each other, they are both left with issues that need to be resolved before they can have the happy ending that we’ve all been waiting impatiently for! Trust me, it’s so worth the wait! I highly recommend running out and getting this book ASAP! Just make sure that you have some chocolate on hand because it will make you hungry!

I love Zander. In True to You, book 1 in the series, Zander is a sweet boy, who has grown up, after travels overseas, to be a kind-hearted man. Britt made me a little crazy, in a good way. She's a dare-devil who pushes the limit. But the two, with a solid friendship have much to figure out. Then there is the mystery that folds into the lives of Zander and Britt. Well done, Becky Wade. This is a great addition to the series. I loved Britt's chocolate shop, where I wanted to taste the peppermint truffles and revisiting the Merryweather Historical Village where much of the story takes place. I received a complimentary copy of this book from Bethany House via NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

True to you? Wonderful. Falling for You? Lovely. But Sweet on You? Best of the bunch.

It's all the things a girl loves most, wrapped in one fantastic story. Food, friendship, angst, an element of mystery, sweet kisses, and a touch of suspense make this an ideal book! Britt is a wonderful heroine. So much fierce independence and culinary brilliance. And Zander? Charming and adorably head over heels for Britt. It's the perfect friends-to-more story, complete with increasing tension and emotional turbulence.

I was immediately invested in the characters and couldn't put down the book. I'm not a re-reader, and I'm already reading it again because it was so wonderful.

I made a mistake with this book by thinking that during the slow times at work I could finish it. What made it difficult is having to find a box of tissues for the last part of the book and not admit that I needed them. In my case I was lucky in which no one appeared to ask why I was blowing my nose so much.

Every story by Becky Wade seems to infuse a life lesson within the pages. This one is no exception.

Britt and Zander have been friends for years, but what Britt doesn't know is that her best friend has feelings for her. A published author, Zander was on a grand publicity tour when he heard of his uncles death. So he rushed home with no intention to return on his world tour. While home, Zander discovers that his uncle appears to have been hiding some notable secrets, ones that he and Britt are determined to uncover.

For the last book in the Bradford Sisters series, I believe it ended on a spectacular note. Extraordinary written, with no skimping on quality. It makes the entire series a complete package. To create the stories for three sisters, backstory and the drama had to be quite an undertaking. Needless to say, I look forward to seeing what other stories and escapades Becky has up her sleeve in future books.

The publisher has provided me with a complimentary copy of this book or advanced reading copy through NetGalley.

Since you are visiting the reviews section for this book I am going to have to guess it’s because: a. You have never read a book written by Becky Wade, or b. You haven’t read any of the other books in the Bradford Sisters series. If you have read anything about Britt or Zander, you had to be dying to get your hands on this book like I was. There is just something about Zander that draws me in. Not only is his personality totally unique, but he’s also tall, dark, and handsome, with tattoos! Would it be weird to insert a drool face? I also love Britt and was eager to get to know her better. She makes chocolate masterpieces like no one else, and I totally wish I could try some of her creations. This story took me by surprise and had so many unexpected twists and turns.

Sweet on You was long awaited, and worth every agonizing moment. Wade had me turning pages late into the night. Many dream of their significant other being their best friend, and I loved seeing a different side of it. Britt and Zander have always been inseparable, and Zander leaving on a trip of his dreams throws them both off. Will space and time apart show them what they have in each other? Zander is thrown for another loop when the uncle who helped raise him has a suspicious death. Working together to untangle the past should open their eyes to the love they can have shouldn’t it? Danger lurks around every corner, and there might be more than true love at stake.

I loved every moment of this book. I can’t wait to see what Wade comes up with next. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Romance with a little mystery. This book totally works as a stand alone, but I recommend reading the whole series because they are all so good. Plus now you won’t have to wait in agony for the next book to be released like I did. I received a copy of this book from Bethany House Publishers and was in no way forced to post a review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Since I read the prequel I have loved this series and since the first book I have been looking forward to reading Zander and Britt's story. Becky Wade did not disappoint. I almost couldn't read fast enough.
Zander has been in love with Britt since he was 14 years old. He learned all about cooking, baking, ingredients and most importantly chocolate for her. Yet he couldn't tell how he felt because he rather continue pining uselessly than lose her friendship. He left on a world tour to get over his feeling but he's back for his uncle's funeral.
Britt adores Zander. He's her best friend. No one understands her and her love of chocolate like he does. She may be thinking about him in a more than friendly manner now that he's back home.
I adore the writing technique used throughout this series to fill in the gaps if you will. The snippets of phone calls, text messages, diary entries, letters and the like. I picked up so much without losing the delightful flow of this story to get all the details in. It is truly an inspired touch that I appreciated. I loved getting a glimpse of Britt's feelings for Zander through the years without it having to be spelled out for me.

In Sweet on You, Becky Wade delivers a beautifully written friends-to-lovers novel filled with a unique mystery, laugh-out-loud humor, stirring character development, and sizzling romance!

The friends-to-lovers trope worked especially well in Sweet on You because Britt is such a well-developed character. Her personality is complex as are her reasons for avoiding romance with Zander. Beyond fear of ruining their friendship, much of Britt's reluctance to be more than friends derives from her life experiences and personality. She undergoes a character transformation as the novel progresses, but especially near the end of the book. It is only through these changes that the she finds faith to trust God and open her heart more fully to Zander.

Sweet on You caught my attention at the beginning and I read it in two nights. In some ways, it felt like an ode to chocolate and love. However, not everything was light and sweet. Embedded in the plot and character development are themes about trusting God, God's faithfulness, and letting go of one's pride and abilities. The novel also addresses the short-term and long-term effects of trauma. I loved the combination of sweet romance with deeper themes and issues.

Lastly, Sweet on You is the third and final novel in Becky Wade's Bradford Sisters Romance series. I enjoyed reading Britt's love story and the follow-up glimpses into Nora and Willow's lives. Though Sweet On You by Becky Wade could be read as a stand-alone, I recommend reading the series in order. They're all good and Falling For You is my personal favorite of the three.

I just finished this book and really enjoyed it. I will say that it took me a while to get into it, but once I did it was a good read. The storyline was interesting and I enjoyed getting to know more about Britt and Zander and their history together. It's a book that's about taking chances and also realising that the past shapes people more than you think.

Sweet on You is book three from Becky Wade's series, A Bradford Sisters Romance. I have read the first two books in the series and this one is by far my favorite of the three. Zander and Britt were cute together. I loved how they got involved trying to solve the mystery of his uncle’s life and who he really was. I love family history, their mysteries and trying to solve them. So, this part of the book was fascinating to me. I could not have guessed or predicted how it all turned out.
I give Sweet on You a well deserved five plus stars and I highly recommend it. This book is most definitely worth a read.
I received this book from the publisher. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.

Becky Wade is one of my all time favorite authors because she writes some of the purest romance novels in the christian market. I mean sometimes you just want a romance…and she always delivers. That said, I was simultaneously looking forward to reading this book and dreading it. My thoughts:

What I liked

Zander. He was why I was dreading reading this book. I did not want to read about a man who was desperately in love with a woman who walked all over him…and…well…more on that later. But Wade hands down writes the swooniest heroes. They say the best things and they act in the best ways when the fall in love. I kept reading and thinking that men are not like this…but wouldn’t it be nice if they were.

Overall, I liked Britt. It’s always difficult to love a heroine who has a wonderful hero who is madly in love with her while she stands there and acts clueless (though she doesn’t walk all over him!). Honestly, I truly felt Zander’s frustration with her half the time. That said, Wade did a lovely job of showing Britt and Zander’s relationship and the progression thereof. Britt has her reasons for such a delayed response to Zander and they actually make sense.

The mystery. In each book, Wade introduces a small mystery. The mystery in this one was by far the best. I was intrigued from the get-go. You have this man who said he was one thing when he was really another, you have these Ocean’s 11 heists, missing art paintings…it was a lot of fun.

Spiritually, this novel deals with how God is faithful when we’re faithless and what letting go and trusting Him really looks like. I will say that often the characters acted in real immature ways for people who had known God for a while (constantly and consistently lying to each other), but they do acknowledge that they are/were spiritually immature.

What I Didn’t Like

To a certain degree, Zander and Britt’s relationship felt oddly circular. It kind of felt like when they disagreed, they were really arguing about the same thing in a different way. In that way, some of the tension felt a bit contrived. Sometimes I wanted to shake them both and just be like say what you mean and mean what you say.

Romantic Scale: 9

Overall, I will admit that this wasn’t my favorite in the series (first book was) but like any Becky Wade novel, it was a quick read with some lovely moments in it. Looking forward to her next series!

This book was fantastic! I have waited eagerly for Britt and Zander’s story and I can happily say that I was not disappointed. Becky Wade wrote a beautiful story where the feelings of both characters-the yearning, the apprehension, the friendship, the love-were felt so strongly as I read the story. The added mystery surrounding Uncle Frank was well done and blended well with Britt and Zander’s story arc. Don’t disregard the epilogue in this one-such a beautiful continuation to wrap everything up. I’m sad that the series has ended but happy that it ended on such a spectacular note!

I just finished my 1st book by Becky Wade!!
Admittedly I didn't want to read it at first but now I'm glad I did!!
There's some lessons to be learned from some wonderful mmessages in this book.
I love the one where " I survived through life because God has never left me through my hard times and is still with me through the easy times."
God will always carry us if we only let Him but like Britt, we are too stubborn and want to do things our way!!
I'm going to be honest here. I was about to scream two thirds of the way into the book because someone was too stubborn to admit something that was right in front of her face the whole time!!
I'm also going too admit I drooled over Britt's candy. I felt like I was on the outside in watching her make the candy and wanting to reach over her shoulder and take a piece to taste it.
Britt is about the coolest woman there is except for being stubborn and digging her heals in so to speak. In that way she is just like me stubborn about certain things.
Zander is my favorite character of all!! He's your cool down to earth guy and in my mind's eye very handsome!! I love his strength and know that he is there when you need him. Just like our Lord Jesus is.
I enjoyed the mystery that surrounded this novel and I love the who done it. This is why I didn't put the book down!!
I would have love to have had siblings!! I was raised as an only child so I missed out. I loved the closeness of Britt's family. The love and support they had for one another.
Too often in today's world most families don't have that and they go their own way and leave God out. It's why our world is the way it is today.
I strongly recommend this book. There's some great messages in here. Reading Christian fiction has brought me closer to God. I hope that you also are blessed and brought closer to Jesus through reading my reviews. I hope that I can win some souls for Jesus this way or by reading these great books!!
I received a complimentary copy from Netgalley with no compensations received. All opinions are my own!!

This story exceeded my expectations.  I have been looking forward to reading Britt and Zander's story for soooo long, and once I finally settled in to read it, I found that I was blissfully swept into the story and turning pages as fast as I could read to find out what would happen next. On the other hand, I also wanted to slow down because I knew that this is the last book in the Bradford sisters series, and I didn't want it to end.

I loved the character growth in this story, as well as the friendship that grew into something deeper. These characters grew on me as the story progressed and I found myself talking to them even though logically I knew they couldn't hear me. I just couldn't help myself!

I appreciated how graciously Becky Wade tackled the tough subjects and through the lens of grace and love, brought them around full circle. If you haven't yet met the Bradford sisters, now is the time to pick up the stories and settle in for some delightful, page-turning stories.

(5 stars) - thoroughly satisfying wrap up to the series

I've been eagerly awaiting book 3 in the Bradford Sisters series for some time now. It's funny how even the characters in books 1 & 2 have been expressing impatience for Britt to recognize Zander's love for her, but this is not the usual superficial treatment of the best-friends-to-lovers trope.

As much as I was eager for Britt & Zander to finally be together, I was very impressed with the author's careful psychological accuracy in depicting the characters' developing thought processes & reactions.

The conflicts involved in changing the status of their relationship were real. I totally understood where they both were at mentally & emotionally all the way through the story.

Britt has some serious maturing to do before she can be in a serious relationship, and we are helped to understand why it hasn't happened sooner. And why the time hasn't been right before now.

The story is full of humor, mystery and excitement, and the author keeps it believable all the way to the end. Ironically, as fun as their first kiss is once it finally happens, it's their second kiss that curls your toes!

Content
Clean romance level: passionate kissing
Religion: This is a Christian romance with a minor amount of talk regarding characters' relationships with God & prayer. It's done in a way that fits naturally & is not preachy.

For years, Britt Bradford has harbored an obsession for chocolate. And for just as many years, Zander Ford has harbored a deep love for Britt. Britt thinks Zander is her best friend—they do everything together. But as the years go by, and Britt never moves Zander out of the friend zone, Zander does the only thing he can think of to stop the pain. He goes on a grand tour of the world, leaving Britt (and most of his heart) back in Merryweather, WA.

But when his uncle’s unexpected death brings him home early, he hopes against all hopes that Britt will finally realize that they can be best friends and date each other. As Zander helps his aunt settle his uncle’s affairs, he realizes that a mystery surrounds his uncle.

Britt insists on helping him solve the mystery, and together they dig deep into his uncle’s past. What they find shocks and surprises them. Suddenly, Zander has doubts about letting Britt help out, especially when it seems as if danger lurks around every corner.

I love how Wade combines sweet romance with mystery and suspense and binds it all together with spiritual truths. Readers may even learn how to handle the friend zone by reading Britt and Zander’s story.

Sweet on You is the final installment in the Bradford Sisters Trilogy by Becky Wade. I would like to read the first two books about Nora and Willow, Britt's sisters, but the book stood alone just fine and I wasn't missing any details.

Britt is a confident master chocolatier who serves mouth-watering (literally) gourmet chocolates, coffees, and pastries in her successful shop, Sweet Art. This part of the story was fun, with her lively co-workers and customers. Becky Wade's powers of description are effervescent and amusing - her people and places just come to life! I especially thought it was cute how she would describe things based on a particular character's perspective. And Zander's unique persona and his aching unrequited love pulled me in from the first sentence.

The mystery aspect of the story was intriguing at first, but as it proceeded I was a little disappointed with how obvious it became and how easily it could have been solved. But still an enjoyable element, for sure!

Britt and Zander's friendship is full-bodied and cute, with each one protective of the other and quick with the light-hearted banter of people who know each other inside and out..... except for the secrets they both keep.

But my only caveat - Britt is almost what I would call a compulsive dater, who flirts and dates guys for the pure buzz of infatuation, in her own words. I disagreed with her perspective that lust (again her term for it, not mine) is a fun and normal part of life, and her and Zander's love story involved his sweet, sacrificial love and her realization that, oh, whatd'ya know, there's sexual tension between us and I like kissing him. She irritated me in this way, because Zander is so sweet.

A fun, light read that will leave you craving coffee and chocolate!

Becky has outdone herself with the finale to her Bradford Sisters Trilogy. Readers who have read Nora and Willow's stories previously have been EAGERLY awaiting Britt's story and I am happy to report it was all we readers could have asked for and more! Zander is a hero you can't help but adore. His devotion to Britt over the years is the stuff dreams are made of. (Insert dreamy sigh or swoon here!) Britt is tough as nails (Zander calls her a warrior princess-I loved that!) and refuses to ever be weak or vulnerable, even with the ones she loves most. Watching Zander break down those walls finally is a treat to read and I could not put this book down! Britt's career as a chocolatier was extremely fun and I loved that Zander was an author. The mystery surrounding Zander's Uncle Frank was interesting and very well done and kept me guessing at how it would all turn out. My favorite element of the story was the banter between Britt and Zander! It was hilarious. This book has it all: humor, mystery, romance, fantastic characters, a beautiful setting and chocolate! Truly what more could a reader ask for?? This is headed straight for my keeper shelf and my top 2019 reads, no question!

I received this book from NetGalley and the Publisher and was not required to post a positive review. All thoughts are my own.

One can never have enough Becky Wade books! Contemporary romance has another winner in Sweet on You, that’s for sure. I’m sad to see the series end, because the Washington-state setting is always fun and I’ve spent so much time getting to know the characters that I don’t want them to go!

As with any book set in my home state, I definitely hyperanalyze Seattle references. Britt and Zander went downtown at a couple points during the book, visiting the library (yay!) before lunch at Place Pigalle. I may have spent more time than I’d care to admit mulling over how long it would take to walk between the two! You see, I didn’t initially think it would constitute the “short walk” noted in the book (Google Maps suggests 12 minutes/0.6 miles), but to be fair, I judge distances based on the length of a business-lunch break and likelihood of fast-ish service. I lunch on the clock!

World-building continues as ever in the fictional town of Merryweather (does that remind anyone else of Sleeping Beauty?). Characters mentioned previously make appearances — read the series in order! I enjoyed seeing what each of the sisters are up to after their respective stories wrapped up earlier on.

Britt and Zander are both endearing. I finally mentally cast Zander by about 2/3 of the way through — Cillian Murphy. I wonder what Wade would say to that, haha! 😉 Their love story will absolutely satisfy readers, whether the latter are new to Wade’s books or have been reading them long-term.

I received a copy of the book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

I loved this book! I devoured it so quickly on the first pass that I am planning to go back through and read it more slowly to really savor it. I don’t usually get into series, but I’ve loved the romances, the strong and determined heroes, and the kind and smart Bradford sisters in this series. Sweet on You has a mystery element, like the others, but the level of danger is ratcheted up, making it a fitting finale. Also fitting for the end of the series, Zander’s devotion to Britt really can’t be topped. I was given an advance copy of Sweet on You but this review was optional and is my honest opinion. I’ve bought multiple copies of the other books to have for myself and to share, a habit I plan to continue with Sweet on You because those who enjoy contemporary Christian romance will love this book, and I don’t want my friends to miss out!

Becky Wade is wrapping up her series on the Bradford sisters with the story of Britt and her long-time friend Zander.

Zander has been on a world tour when he gets called home due to his uncle's death. There are questions surrounding Uncle Frank's death: cause of death, bullet wound, where he was headed when he died. At the same time there is an unsolved crime involving paintings stolen from the Pascal Museum in Seattle. Zander wants the questions answered and Britt wants to help.

Britt is a chocolatier with a zest for life that Zander just loves. He's the introvert to her extravert, the peace to her excitement, and the rescuer to her risks. She just can't decide if she really loves Zander, but Zander knows his heart will never belong to anyone else. He tries his best to rein her in while they are searching for clues, but can't quite pull her up.

I have read and enjoyed all three of these Bradford Sisters books, and I must say that Becky Wade has not lost her touch in bringing romance, mystery, daring do, and all kinds of adventure into the lives of her characters. This is a five star screen swiper, with two thumbs up, and a delectable chocolate peppermint truffle seasoned with butterscotch and rum.

And so it begins ~ my best of 2019 booklist! Becky Wade is amazing! Zander is amazing! This story is amazing! I laughed - a lot, I cried, I reread parts, I highlighted- a lot, and I craved chocolate! Do yourself a huge favor and go order your copy of this story! You also need to make sure you have some yummy chocolates on hand. Trust me on this, all I had was semi-sweet chocolate chips.

I feel like I’ve been waiting forever for Zander and Britt’s story. I can now say that it was totally worth the wait. The banter between Zander and Britt is spot on. I love their relationship, Zander’s devotion to Britt, and how Britt has been his “protector” since they met. I love that we get to see deeper into their relationship through (past and present) phone calls, texts, letters, and journal entries that are sprinkled throughout the story. And when Zander finally tells Britt how he feels about her...there are no words...sigh! And don’t even get me started on that first kiss!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Nikki and Clint are some of my favorite secondary characters ever! The object lesson that Nikki gave Britt is hilarious! I loved checking up on willow and Corbin and John and Nora. The whole my husband thing was pretty hilarious too! The mystery thread throughout the story was so different and really added to the story.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And finally, the faith lessons throughout the story and the growth of both Zander and Britt were very well done. Many lines spoke to me, but here is one of my favorites,
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“You can rely on Him in the hard as well as in the easy. If He leads you into something hard, then He’ll provide the grace you need to bear up under it.”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I could go on and on about this incredible story, but instead, I’ll stop here and tell you, once again, go get this book!!

Yay! Another Bradford sister story! I love following this family.

Sweet on You is another Becky Wade hit! Oh, how I enjoyed this story. Ms. Wade has a wonderful storytelling gift. Her characters are lively, believable, and make such an impact. Her touches of faith and humor mingle well with a sweet romance, leaving me with a satisfied smile.

Britt and Zander are such endearing characters—very different, yet ideally match up. Britt, the youngest of the Bradford sisters, runs a mouth-watering chocolate shop that had me craving a visit! I love when a hero sneaks into my heart and makes it beat a bit faster. Zander is patient and kind (swoon.) I adore him.

‘Friends to something more’ stories are some of my favorites. The underlying relationship Britt and Zander have had for so long is strong, and I rooted for them to experience an even deeper, more romantic connection. As with all of Becky Wade’s stories, I got even more than I’d hoped for. This story is mysterious, romantic, and spiritual, wrapping up a special family series.

I've thoroughly enjoyed the Bradford sisters series and this book offered a satisfying conclusion to their tale. Book 1 was about Nora, the middle sister. Book 2 was about Willow, the eldest. And this book was about Britt, the youngest. While each story can stand alone, I would strongly recommend reading them in order as the back-stories do build on each other.

Britt has always been fiercely independent and had never given any depth to her dating relationships. She's never had to lean on anyone but herself and she likes it that way, thank you very much. As we've seen in the prior books, Britt's best friend Zander Ford has loved Britt since the day they met (pretty much) and at the end of the previous book had decided that he needed some distance from her flighty relationships, taking a world tour after his first novel becomes a success. At the beginning of this book, his tour is cut short by the death of his uncle. When things surrounding the death are not quite what they seem, Zander's aunt requests his help in uncovering her husband's secrets and Zander and Britt set out to solve the mystery. As time progresses, Britt finds herself crushing on her bestie and tries in vain to push those feelings away. All the while Zander fears what unrequited love on his part will do to their relationship as his emotions have only intensified with the physical distance.

This book had a lot of great characteristics - fantastic writing, good characters, quirky banter, a sweet romance, a good mystery, an element of danger and an exceptional faith moment. Once the story was completed, the author included an epilogue to show the trajectories of all 3 sisters that brought about a satisfying conclusion to the series.

In addition to the 3 novels in this series, I would recommend the prequel novella (Then Came You) and the novella that is part of The Christmas Heirloom collection about Britt's friend Maddie, for more of the story. All in all, this is a series I would strongly recommend to fans of contemporary romance or just good character-driven stories. Special thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for an ecopy of this book. I was not required to write a review and the thoughts contained herein are my own.

No one writes romance like Becky Wade—she has the steam-worthy kisses, the heart throbbing heros, and the sweet and aching love. I was so glad that Britt and Zander finally got their own story! I love old-friends-turn-into-romance plots and really enjoyed reading about their journey. Although their romance takes center stage, the mystery in the novel makes the storyline even more intriguing. There are a few surprising twists and turns, both to the love story and the mystery. It was nice to read a conclusion to the Bradford sisters, although I was a little sad to see the series end. I highly recommend this book and this series!

It was a fun story in parts and I did enjoy it, but overall I didn't find the mystery or the romance terribly compelling. I think it's a great Christian romance that I will definitely recommend to patrons, I love Becky Wade, but I was a tad disappointed.

Um. Wow.

I first fell (hard) for Becky Wade’s books when I discovered True To You (John & Nora 😍) at a local bookstore. Her writing was fantastic, tugged at my heartstrings, and smashed its way to my TOP FAVE list!

And now. This book. It gives me #allthesqueals!!!!!

*Deep Breath* Now, I want to tell you why you should go out, buy this book, smell it, and keep it forever.

Reason #1: The Characters

Zander. And his selfless, powerful, soulful, heart-breaking love for Britt. But beside all that—he’s such a cool character! He writes, appreciates chocolate, does dishes (*important fact*), solves mysteries, and knows Britt better than anyone else in the world. Plus he’s got a tragic past that only Jesus can help him overcome.

Britt. And her stubborn, fearless, creative personality. Her fierce love for her people. And even though her head takes a while to catch up with what her heart knows, once it blossoms, her love is a force to be reckoned with!

Reason #2: The Chocolate

Seriously. So much chocolate. I want to taste all of them, and Becky Wade’s amazing descriptions make all of Britt’s creations come alive on the page!!

Reason #3: The Story

The themes of forgiveness, trust, and faith. The power of love.

They mystery. The angst. The bonds of family, and what family really means. What happens when the foundation you thought would always be there suddenly shatters, and you are forced to face the hard questions, and the possibility of a brand new future.

And although John & Nora are still my favorite Bradford sister couple, Britt & Zander sure gave them a run for it!! 😂

So yeah. Read this book. Tell your friends they need to read this book! *You’re welcome*

I received a copy of this book from the publisher for FREE, and a positive review was not required.

Note: There are a few teensy parts that are a bit TMI, or for a more mature audience.

Sweet on You was even better than Falling for You, but only by a hair. Can't Becky Wade write more than one novel a year? Just kidding Becky, take all the time you need to produce these awesome reads!

In Sweet on You, Zander has been in love with Britt since high school. Britt, on the other hand, considers Zander her very best friend. Except, when Zander returns from an 18 month trip and discovers his uncle may not have died from natural causes, Britt and Zander choose to work closely together to untie the mystery. That's when Zander realizes that taking an 18 month break didn't diminish his love for Britt, time only made their bond stronger. And Britt discovers, much to her dismay, that she may very well be in love with her best friend and that is not okay. She adores the relationship she and Zander have and does not want it to change. At all. But then he kisses her, which leads them on a road of trying to get back to "just friends," which isn't possible.

I think the thing I loved the most about this romance was how they were best friends before page one. How Zander has been head over heels in love with Britt forever. And how Britt, much to her surprise, has also been in love with Zander but was afraid to face those feelings. That premise created a strong romantic conflict that ran the course of the entire novel.

I've long been a Becky Wade fan, and her latest is no exception! I love the witty dialogue, the mystery, the romance, and the way that Becky's characters are so relatable, fun, and real. My favorite part about this book (and consequently Britt and Zander's relationship as it changed through the novel) was that the characters were truly themselves. Britt was fun and quirky, Zander was smart, emotional, and deep. The mystery wasn't just an afterthought - it truly was a plot device that brought in a lot of interesting side characters with their own issues/challenges/growth to do. I absolutely loved this book!! But read the whole Bradford Sisters books in order to get the most enjoyment out of them. It's always fun to catch up with the other sisters in this series. :)

From the title of this book you know this is going to be a story about a "sweet" romance.

Britt Bradford is the youngest of the three Bradford sisters. And she is fiercely independent. When she was 14 years old, a broken young man came to her school and she decided that she would befriend him. Thirteen years later, their friendship has blossomed into being the best of friends. The only thing is, Zander Ford has been in love with Britt ever since he met her. But wanting to maintain their especially close friendship, he holds back his true feelings for her. The trust and loyalty between them hallmarks what true friendship is about. Until Zander no longer can withhold his feelings for Britt. As Britt backpedals her own feelings, Zander is totally a gentleman and allows her the space she needs to navigate in her own time.

I am so amazed at how Becky Wade can delve into the deep feelings of her characters. She brings so much depth and insights into a relationship and the hazards of springing them loose. A truly sweet and special final story of the three Bradford sisters series.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the publisher. All views expressed are my honest opinion.

I absolutely LOVED this book!!! Warning: You may find yourself craving chocolate while reading!!!

I've been a fan of Ms. Wade since reading My Stubborn Heart in 2012 and her writing just keeps getting better.

I have a love/hate relationship with series. I've read the novella prequel, Then Came You, and the first two in the series True to You and Falling for You and I loved each of them. I was excited to read Zander and Britt's story, the only bad thing is that the series ends with this book, which is the hate part of series. I hate to see them end.

The banter and romance between Zander and Britt is the stuff great relationships are made of and a friendship romance is one of my favorite type of romance. The tug of war that both Zander and Britt experienced was both real and authentic.

Within this series besides the great, brooding, strong heroes, and beautiful, brave, heroine's and their family saga is the mystery thread that Ms. Wade has woven into each of the books. I found the art heist mystery fun and intriguing. It pulled me into the story and couldn't turn pages fast enough.

OMG! Wow! It’s not easy to describe how much I loved The Bradford Sisters Series!
Ever since I read “Then came you” I fell in love with Garner Bradford and Kathleen Burke’s story! I knew this was going to be one of my favorite series and I was eager to start reading the story of each of their daughters, all three having a different mother. How their story started felt so real and heartfelt, sometimes raw and tragic, others even humorous. I really fell in love with this family!
I’ve read each and every one of the books in the series. I own them in paperback, I especially fell in love with the covers. This last one book was gifted to me by the Publisher and Author herself but I was in no way required to leave a positive review. But it not only deserves a positive review, but a truly exultant one, and this is really my honest opinion! This is my favorite contemporary series yet!!!
When I read “True to You”, I thought it would be hard to top this story, but “Falling for You” was equally good too! And what can I say… I just fell in love with “Sweet on You” and think it was the best closing for these series. Maybe because I already knew Britt and Zander from the previous novels and they really grew on me…
Britt befriended Zander when they were fourteen. Although they seemed very different, from social background, etc., it was sweet how they soon became the best of friends. Zander couldn’t help falling helplessly in love with Britt from the start, but since she didn’t seem to return his feelings outside of the friend zone, he didn’t want to risk the beautiful friendship they had by letting her know his feeling for her.
Britt’s greatest passion is chocolate. She has her own shop as a chocolatier in Merryweather. She has dated on and off, but she never seem’s to find the right guy… Might it be because no one will ever equal his best friend qualities?: Zander is loyal to the bone, compassionate, kind and caring, fun, supportive, he always knows what she has inside! He’s also extremely handsome in his unique way. But friends is better than having a relationship that may ruin the most beautiful thing in her life (other than her family), his unconditional friendship, right?
After Zander career as a writer becomes a huge success he decides he needs to separate himself from Britt, otherwise he’ll go crazy, and maybe his feelings will subdue if he’s oceans apart from her… But after a few years, when he comes back to his Uncle Frank’s funeral (the man who took him in and raised him) and sees Britt again, he realizes his feelings are even more solid now. Then life turns upside down when he finds out, along with his aunt, that Uncle Frank may not have been what he seemed and his sudden death becomes a mystery he has to solve, for his and his aunt’s peace of mind.
As Britt offers her help and this makes them spend more time together, the attraction they both feel can no longer be denied. But Britt is unsure of taking a bigger step. And Zander is not sure he can contain his feelings any longer…
I won’t spoil this story for you. I’ll just tell you it was awesome and I loved it. There is so much deepness of character and so much to learn behind the situations that unfold, their growing relationship, their trust of God in directing them in the right path… I love that these books always have an inspiring message and it helps you see how faith can light up your path in ways you never imagined. And that God always has your back and that his plans for us are always better than what we are setting our sights in.
This is a beautiful closing to The Bradford Sisters Series. I’m really sorry this has to end. I wish there would be a spin off story later so we can know what became of their lives and families.
And aww, I really fell in love with Zander! Wish there were many more Zanders out there that would make a woman feel so loved and cherished just like she is as he did with Britt! My hero!
Congrats on a wonderful book and series Becky! This are some books I will definitely reread!

A sweet indulgence!

Britt felt guilty for being the only Bradford sister whose mom was still around. So she determined that she would not be a burden or a problem or allow herself to be vulnerable. Instead, she focused her attention on being the ideal sister and kept everything bottled up inside.

As a result of an unstable childhood, Zander is a little quirky. Among other things, he

- Can’t set a timer for an odd number of minutes

- Closes any door, cupboard, or drawer that has been left open

- Can’t stand to see someone load the dishwasher the wrong way – and has been known to reload those belonging to other people

I don’t often think of heroes as favorites. Despite the fact they are fictional, I’m not in the market for a book boyfriend – my husband is enough. :-) Yet with Zander, it is difficult to not admire him. His deep love for Britt which has stood the test of time (thirteen years!) is heart-rendingly sweet. He is so patient with her, despite sometimes getting mad and yelling. at her One of the women in the book describes him to be like a Dickens orphan – brooding and beautiful. While the entire story is exceptionally wonderful, the way Zander responded when Britt finally broke and had a panic attack . . . Ooh!

Sweet on You is an amazing, delightful story which touched my heart deeply. From Zander’s long-suffering love to Britt’s pain that she has bottled up. . . Add to these heart issues the mystery surrounding Zander’s uncle and the secrets and danger they uncover and you have the recipe for an incredible book!

I loved all the fun metaphors sprinkled throughout and the sometimes quirky characters. It is the perfect blend of romance and adventure and humor and even has police action requiring a SWAT team!

Be forewarned, though. Britt is a chocolatier. Be prepared to read lovely descriptions of chocolate making, chocolate flavors, and more delicious chocolate! I recommend having some on hand – preferably the decadent kind.

Instead of listening to me ramble on about this delicious treat, hurry and get a copy so you can see what I’m raving about! (If you haven’t read the other books in the series, you might want to start with the prequel and read them all. Sweet on You can stand alone but it does build on the others. You won’t regret reading them all!)

Being best friends for thirteen years, Britt & Zander are perfect for each other. Everyone knows it. Everyone except, that is, Britt.

This 3rd and final book in the Bradford Sisters series is as emotionally charged as the others. My heart ached for loyal and trusting Zander. We finally get a deeper look into the past of the man who has hovered on the fringes since Nora's story (book 1). He has cut his Grand Tour short to return for the funeral of a beloved Uncle, who has acted more like a father to him than his own. Now with questions being asked around the circumstances of his death - Zander's stay back in town is necessary. However, his relationship with Britt is closely surpassing the point in which he can no longer tolerate the friend zone she has so firmly placed him in.

While I felt the beginning began a little slow, at times there was very little zing between Britt & Zander, and perhaps allows for the 'distance' that comes from being apart from someone for a significant amount of time. Gradually as the seriousness of the case surrounding Uncle Frank heats up, so does the chemistry & the tension. I was glad that Britt came to her realizations gradually and not one of those sudden 'epiphany' moments some characters have. The additional plot is clever, and a great embellishment to the story as a whole. The delicious descriptions of Britt's chocolate creations inside Sweet Art will have you salivating!

I received a eARC from Netgalley. This is my honest review.

I found this book to be absolutely delightful. I already love stories of best friends falling in love with each other. Knowing that Britt was a chocolatier was appealing, because I just love stories of characters who work in the food industry. You get some great recipes and inspiration for dishes to try at home. And of course there is the mystery aspect, revolving around the truth of his father's past and the setting just outside of Seattle.

The development of the relationship between Britt and Zander is intricately woven with their investigation into Zaner's Uncle Frank's past, in a perfect blend of the two types of stories. You have just enough intrigue without all of the drama. I felt a maturity in the storytelling that was refreshing to read. It felt like the author had really taken her time and given a lot of thought into every aspect of the story. Previous books are alluded to, but not necessary to have read in order to appreciate this one. I will say that I need to read the other ones, though, because now I want to know the stories of the other sisters and people in this book.

I am delighted to report that this highly anticipated conclusion of the Bradford Sisters series exceeded my lofty expectations! Sweet on You boasts wonderfully complex characters, an exciting plot, and an endearing friends-to-romance thread that rivals the sweetness of our heroine’s chocolate shop.

As far as I’m concerned, Britt and Zander are irresistibly lovable. Britt is a fiercely independent and adventurous young woman and a chocolatier savant, what’s not to love?! Zander is loyal and compassionate and uber talented in his own right! I admire the way he takes on the role of protector like it’s as natural to him as breathing.

Books, chocolate, and friends-to-romance threads aside (because what a winning combination!!!) Sweet on You strikes just the right balance between main character focus and secondary character spotlighting to draw-in new-to-the-series-readers while returning fans have the benefit of a “the gang’s all here” vibe. I highly recommend this series and look forward to reading future stories from Becky Wade.

Sweet on You, by Becky Wade, is the third book in A Bradford Sisters Romance series. While I do recommend reading all of the books in this series simply because each of them is absolutely wonderful, this book can be read quite easily as a stand- alone novel. Like the other books in the series, Sweet on You is beautifully written, entertaining, and utterly engaging. From the unexpected mystery, to the indispensable chocolate truffles, to the unfolding romance, this novel is absolutely enjoyable from beginning to end.
In Sweet on You, as in all of her novels, Ms. Wade is amazingly talented at creating vibrant characters that are believable, endearing, and relatable. Even though they endure difficult trials, they manage to persevere and make tough choices. Above all, they learn, they grow, and they endeavor to thrive. As they pursue wholeness and consider new possibilities, they begin to find peace as they open their hearts to vulnerability, trust, and faith.
Ms. Wade is also profoundly skilled at immersing the characters in settings that are richly detailed and wholly memorable. Set in the distinctive Pacific Northwest, Sweet on You is a book as splendid and as stunning as the scenic setting that enriches the story. Furthermore, the plot of this novel is refreshingly captivating as it abounds with circumstances and twists that are delightfully and thoroughly intriguing.
This novel is touching, inspiring, and compelling. It is original and appealing and everything a great book should be. I sincerely recommend Sweet on You. It is a book worthy of savoring and sharing. Ms. Wade is a gifted storyteller and with each book she writes, I find new reasons to love her work even more. I eagerly look forward to reading more of her novels in the future.

This book is a set in a series, but I read it fine on it's own. I'm probably gonna read the other books too. I enjoyed this very much to be honest. I don't think it's revolutionary or that it brings something in that you haven't discovered before. I have to warn everyone too, it's a Christian novel - I don't hate it but I don't find myself yearning to return to more Christian novels. I think Becky Wade writes perfectly fine, but I don't think this is a genre I'm returning to at this moment. It's honestly just too clean for me.

Book Summary (Amazon): Britt Bradford and Zander Ford have been the best of friends since they met thirteen years ago. Unbeknown to Britt, Zander has been in love with her for just as long.

Independent and adventurous Britt channels her talent into creating chocolates at her hometown shop. Zander is a bestselling author who's spent the past 18 months traveling the world. He's achieved a great deal but still lacks the only thing that ever truly mattered to him--Britt's heart.

When Zander's uncle dies of mysterious causes, he returns to Merryweather, Washington, to investigate, and Britt is immediately there to help. Although this throws them into close proximity, both understand that an attempt at romance could jeopardize their once-in-a-lifetime friendship. But while Britt is determined to resist any change in their relationship, Zander finds it increasingly difficult to keep his feelings hidden.

As they work together to uncover his uncle's tangled past, will the truth of what lies between them also, finally, come to light?

My thoughts.... Oh, the tension!! I loved the romantic tension in this novel! Becky Wade is an expert at drawing you into the hearts of her characters, and I believe "Sweet on You" is one of her best examples. This is the third book in the Bradford Sisters series (and yes...all of them are fantastic!), so there are hints to Britt and Zander's story throughout each book leading up to this one. By the time I finished the second book in the series, "Falling for You," I was eagerly anticipating Britt's story. In each novel, Wade adds fun little insights into what is happening with the characters. In "Sweet on You," there are a set of text messages Britt and Zander sent to one another, a note Britt wrote to her friend about Zander in high school, a letter Britt sent on Zander's behalf (without his knowledge), and several more fun tidbits. It is a creative and clever way to give backstory over several years' time without pages of explanation. Loved it!
Not only was there romantic tension, but there was also an element of suspense. As they worked together to solve the mystery of Zander's uncle, they encountered some dangerous people which led to some intense situations. I liked this added dimension to their story. It certainly complemented the romantic aspect in that Britt and Zander had to depend on one another in a way that they never had before, which brought out conflict but also drew them closer together.
There were certainly times when I wanted to throttle Britt and Zander for the choices they made, but I appreciated their character flaws in the end...as well as their strengths. It really made this book a fantastic read and a wonderful conclusion to the series. I would highly recommend all three books, as well as the prequel novella.

Story Line: 4 Stars

Overall: 3 Stars

Sweet on You is the final book in the Bradford Sisters Series and we were highly anticipating it being a great finale, but these two chicks were disappointed.

Sweet on You is the story of Britt, the youngest Bradford sister, and her best friend Zander, who has been in love with Britt for years and desperately wishes she felt the same for him. Britt dates different guys casually but always ends things before they get too serious. Zander is her rock and steady place, but as he is her best friend, she never even considers falling in love with him as it may ruin everything they have. However, as the two of them embark on a journey to uncover a mystery, her feelings suddenly begin to change. Will they give love a chance, and will Britt actually open heart to the thought of forever?

The story line was well done and we wanted to enjoy it, but it fell short in a few different areas for us. Zander's character was our favorite - loyal, strong, quiet and a hopeless romantic in all things dealing with Britt. Britt, however, was a disappointment to us as the growth she experienced was too little too late. We are all for flawed characters in need of learning some hard lessons and love to see redemption, but the characters struggled showing this which made the faith aspect come up short for us. Although the faith tried to wrap everything up nicely as the end, it was too little throughout the book. Again, this isn't the usual trend we see in Becky's writing and we hope to write a glowing review on her next book.

This author and this book series is one of my favorites. I have loved delving into the lives of these sisters and their unique family structure. Britt is the youngest and I was so excited to finally get to her story. Actually, it's as much Zander's story as it is Britt's and it was Zander that my heart really followed.

Zander has loved Britt since he was fourteen. Unrequited love. It's the worst kind of love. Zander's love for Britt has tortured him his whole life. But Zander is the best of men and he demonstrates this to Britt in his every word and his every action. The best friend gig is a good one but not the one his heart wants the most. His struggle become my struggle and I was starting to feel both overwhelmed and indignant on his behalf because Britt was just not catching on or catching up fast enough. I'm so impatient!

There are a few things I love about this book. First, the characters from book one to book four are the same. They are always around and they feel like family. Second, there is more than just a love story swirling in these pages. There is a growing mystery to match the growing intensity of the relationship. Lastly, as a reader I'm always looking for emotional involvement. I want to feel something and be connected to the characters. This book delivered that. Lastly, chocolate. CHOCOLATE! I wish I could sit in Britt's shop. I wish I could eat her creations. I want to eat chocolate! Is there anything better than chocolate and romance? 😍

Content: peril, mild violence, kissing

I do love it when Becky Wade gives us a respectable mystery to figure out! She does it so well. Everything kept me guessing as Britt and Zander tried to figure out what happened to cause his uncle to be out all night and have a heart attack on the way home—but they instead stumble over a much larger issue...what if his uncle isn’t who he thinks? So they set off on a quest of finding out what’s up and making sure no crazy folks are going to show up and hurt his aunt and cousins.

I really loved how everything unfolded between Britt and Zander—from the first book I’ve been rooting for them as a couple—and it just turned out beautifully. You feel each of the moments between them and all of their longing and angst. I loved each moment! And wow...that tense ending!!! I mean, I knew surely the MCs weren’t going to die at the ending, but that other part of me was sure they couldn’t survive what they got into. It’s got some excellent thriller moments!

I’d recommend to women over 18 for some heavy kissing scenes

I love the sisters. I love these books. I was simultaneously excited and giddy and sad, because the publication of this novel means the series is now over and there will be no more Bradford Sister stories. Side note: I am always happy to see a new Becky Wade book on the horizon but it incites some feelings of impending sadness because once I start to read it that means it will soon be over and then I'll have to wait who knows how long for another one. But I guess if she published books each month or whatever, I would never get anything done in life so it works out.

And we must go on. So here is my review of Britt's story:

Youngest sister Britt Bradford has been best friends with Zander Ford for oh, essentially forever. She has been his staunchly loyal friend, champion, partner in crime, and biggest fan since freshman year in high school. Zander's back story is rich and deep, and Britt is one of only a few in his heart's inner circle.

Adult Britt is an expert chocolatier with possible relationship commitment issues ;) and spends her days creating and running her chocolate shop, Sweet Art. Adult Zander is an author with a best selling book, which allowed him the opportunity to travel the world and fulfill some longtime dreams. He also needed to get away to really figure out what to do with his feelings for Britt. His trip is cut short when his uncle/adopted father dies unexpectedly, and he comes home to a mystery.

Britt refuses to consider/acknowledge/admit the possibility that Zander could love her as more than a friend (everyone else knows), because she is certain it would ruin their friendship....she can't live a moment without any connection to him, so she spends very little time being honest with herself. Also might Britt have some God trust issues? Zander is also unwilling to put it all out there because he has decided being her friend is better than having nothing, and the risk is too great.

The dialogue is witty, snappy, fun, meaningful, laugh out loud inducing...I could go on and on. The story is rich and deep with a satisfying ending. The mystery element is great and adds to the story.

I know I preach this all the time but you simply have to read all of the books in order. If you are considering adding this book to your TBR pile, get all three. Also download the prequel, "Then Came You: a Bradford Sisters Novella", and then binge read them in order. Go! Hurry up! Get them all!

I just had to finish the stories of the three Bradford sisters and I’m so glad I did. Each book can stand on its own but they were all so good! Britt was such fun to visit with. So independent but I felt somewhat vulnerable too. And Zander, he had loved Britt since they were fourteen, but she just thought of them as best friends. He hung in there until one boyfriend too many of hers drove him on a “world tour”after his widely successful novel was published. He returns to attend his uncle’s funeral to find her between boyfriends. He decides to hang around for a while when a mystery concerning his uncle surfaces.
This novel had a little of everything. Mystery, suspense, danger, major theft, family, friendship chocolate and of course sweet romance. I highly recommend this for anyone since it has it all and if you’ve never tried a book by Becky Wade, let this one be it!
I received a complimentary ebook copy of this book from the publisher through Netgalley but was not required to write a review.

Becky Wade has penned another winner with Sweet on You, the third and concluding novel in her Bradford Sisters series. This book focuses on the youngest Bradford sister, Britt. Britt is an independent woman with a few commitment issues — she wants to do things her way without having to answer to anyone. Her life has suited her so far, until her best friend Zander returns from a long trip. What results is the uncomfortable realization that there may be more to their longstanding friendship.

Zander is a hunky and sensitive main character that a reader can cheer for. I loved his loyalty and the way he tried to subdue his feelings for Britt. He is my favorite character from this novel. I liked Britt too, but Zander captured my heart. The third person narrative is interspersed with Zander’s journal entries and letters and notes from both characters. It is a very clever way to give a glimpse into the two’s true relationship. Britt and Zander face more than romantic dilemmas in the course of Sweet on You. As with the two previous books, there is a mystery to be solved. This time the characters encounter dangers that kept this reader turning the pages. Wade did a great job of balancing the romance with the suspense. Self-reliance is a big issue with Britt, and the author shows the dangers of relying too much on oneself and not enough on family, friends, and even God. The message is subtle, but makes a big impact.

One final note about Sweet on You — if you love chocolate, this book will stir your cravings! Britt is a chocolatier, and the novel details some of her experimental expertise. I wish I could have been in on the research for that aspect of the novel! 😉 As it was, I had to satisfy my sweet tooth with dark chocolate Kisses while reading. I thought they were fitting accompaniments to this wonderfully told contemporary romance.

Highly Recommended.

Audience: adults.

I have been waiting for Britt and Zander’s story and it was as good as I hoped.

Becky is such an excellent writer and I love she infuses a bit of mystery into this series.

My only complaint was there was a lot of backstory thrown in. The reader was often pulled out of the present and placed in the past for a good amount of time.

But aside from that I loved this story and how Becky brought Zander and Britt together.

A copy of this book was given to me. All opinions are my own.

Let me say right off the bat that I thought the cover for this eBook was gorgeous. In fact it was the first thing that really caught my eye.
It made me slow down and take another look.
Zander and Britt were interesting and so were their individual quirks. So was the long history that they had between them.
There was really good world building with LOTS of details. For me, it felt over-detailed in certain areas. By 20% on my Kindle I was already tired of all the food details. I just felt like a certain amount was necessary (and even enjoyable) to the story but it also really slowed the story down too. So did all of the angst from Zander and the confusion that Britt began to have.
Britt had a really good group of family and friends and she hadn't been shy about pulling Zander into that group years ago. There was a good feel to the community itself.
The mystery of Zander's uncle's past was a good one with a lot of twists and surprises.
I also enjoyed the influence of God that was weaved into the story as well.
Zander and Britt do get their H.E.A. which I was glad to see. Because wow...Zander really deserved it!! That's not to say that I didn't like Britt just that he had been so honorable and waited so long. That emotion really did come through. I just wish I had liked this book more.

Sweet, indeed! Ever since I first read Anne of Green Gables as a young girl, I’ve had an enormous soft spot for a hero who waits patiently for his heroine, never swerving from his love and devotion, even when the depth of his affection is unreturned. To say I have been anticipating Britt and Zander’s story since the beginning of this series is akin to saying Australia gets a bit warm in the summer. Add in Zander’s character in particular—intelligent, introspective, and romantic, with “Dickensian orphan eyes” and the dark, striking looks to pull the package together—and you have a perfectly delicious recipe for a romance, even if chocolate weren’t involved!

With such great heights of anticipation, the possibility of not meeting expectations is always high—unless Becky Wade is the author. And boy, does she deliver. Crackling romantic tension, totally swoon-worthy romance (words and actions!), an intriguing mystery that delivers a suspenseful climax, AND a personal breakthrough for Britt that packs an emotional punch. Her characters live and breathe on the page, and while she doesn’t write romantic comedy, you’ll always find characters or phrases that make you laugh—sometimes quite unexpectedly! I really don’t know what else you could ask for.

This whole series from Becky Wade represents the very best contemporary Christian romance has to offer in every aspect of the genre, from genuine, swoon-worthy romance all the way through to her characters’ faith journeys. I can’t wait to see where her next series takes us.

I have absolutely loved this series and have loved each sister's story. I've been (im)patiently waiting for Britt's true love, because she's flirty and flighty, as the baby, but her best friend of over a decade is so perfect for her--and she doesn't seem to see it! She also harbors a bit of guilt and I desperately wanted her to find her happily ever after. But...I wasn't expecting the added bonus that I got.

Not only does this story deliver a sweet, budding, new romance, but the reader is treated to a real live mystery! This element weaves so well into the story, adding a dimension of suspense and drama that really flavors the chemistry wafting off the pages, and forms a truly delicious tale. I couldn't get enough!

I'm a huge fan of the friends-to-lover angle and this one is very well done. I loved how compatible these two friends are and their voices and interactions are charming, engaging, and swoony. This story was definitely worth the wait!

Content: mild romance; mild violence/moments of peril; mild+ religion elements.

Britt and Zander know how to do friendship. They are 100% there for each other, even in little ways they don't allow each other to see but are revealed to the reader in snippets from notes over the years. Unrequited love come to fruition is one of my favorite types of romance, and I've been looking forward to Zander finally getting his girl! I loved getting inside his head and experiencing the longing and yearning he has for Britt, while also fulfilling his own aspirations in the meantime. The mystery behind his uncle's hidden past and the suspense it brought to the plot was the perfect balance for the angst Britt and Zander are feeling and also providing them the opportunities to get closer together. For much of the book Britt did such a good job convincing herself that there was no romance between herself and Zander that I was convinced also, and had to make a major shift when things finally heat up between them. I would have done better with a bit more emotion or self-awareness from her leading into the new dimension of their relationship. They have such a deep connection otherwise, the chemistry that rises to the surface is just the icing on the cake. Britt and Zander each are developing their faith as well and I appreciated the insights and inspiration there. I love this series focused on a trio of sisters!

The best one of the trilogy by far.

This third book in the Bradford Sisters trilogy was by far my favorite. It is fast-paced while also being intriguing and thoughtful, with characters that I liked very much. I found Britt to be just human enough to be likeable, with a relatable struggle of figuring herself out in the wake of loss and seeing herself as the strong one. Zander, of course, is everyone's ideal loyal man. Their friendship is one for the ages.

On a side note...I’m so glad Christian fiction has improved as a genre over the years, in large part to Wade and her contemporaries.

Highly recommend.

Warning: This novel will make you want to eat chocolate. And I’m not talking M&Ms or Hershey Kisses. You may as well visit your favorite candy shop and pick up some of the good stuff right now, before you begin reading. That’s because Britt, the heroine of the novel, owns a gourmet chocolate shop; her family and friends, including Zander, her longtime friend who’s had a longtime crush on her, get to taste-test her creations.

I always love Becky Wade's books and this one was no exception. Britt and Zander have been best friends for a long time and Zander wants more from the relationship than just friendship. Will Britt stay just friends with Zander where she believes she is safer or will she take the plunge? Full of romance with a side of mystery tossed in this is sure to please.

Sweet on You by Becky Wade is a cute love story with a dash of mystery. Britt and Zander are friends from high school. Zander has always loved Britt but Britt doesn't reciprocate the feelings. Zander over the period of time realizes that he is no more than a friend to Britt and leaves on a world tour. He comes back to his hometown after the mysterious demise of his uncle. He promises his aunt to find out the secret of his uncle's death.

Britt offers to help Zander with the investigation of his uncle's death. They grow close to each other but both refuse to risk their friendship. Britt is a very strong and independent character. Zander is a loving and patient boyfriend. The family of Britt is awesome. The entire setup of the town is very cute. The story is engaging and the characters are interesting. The mystery of a lost painting adds more flavor to the plot line. All in all, I enjoyed the story.

After concideration i landed on 3.5 stars. Wich i can't give here or on GR. But i write that in the review.
It had very good and adorable pieces wich i throughly enjoyed, but there was this issuse through the book wich i wrinkled my nose at the Frank/James drama and quite frankly it was not needed...at least that's what i feel, sadly.

I’ve been keeping up with this series, and have enjoyed each book. I’ve been waiting for Britt and Zander’s story and I was not disappointed. This was a good storyline with some suspense added in that kept my attention all through the book.

I have to admit that I like Zander much, much more than I do Britt. Zander is a great example of someone who loves unconditionally and is willing to sacrifice for someone else’s happiness. Of the three sisters, Britt is the least likable. Her continual declaration of her depending only on herself, of not showing weakness, or allowing someone to help her got tiresome. She didn’t always seem to live what she professed to believe. But it all comes together in the end, and makes for very entertaining reading.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

Becky Wade is truly in a masterclass of her own when it comes to writing sassy, sweet, and a little spicy contemporary romance. She has done it again in Sweet on You.

Whip-smart and snappy dialogue with a dash of sass and a dose of adorable populate the pages, keeping the tone fast-paced and emitting the easy, comfortable way that Britt & Zander have with each other. There’s a smile to be had on nearly every page, and when I reached the end I just wanted to hug the book & Zander & Britt & even Becky Wade herself!

The friends-to-more trope is one of my faves to read – primarily because that’s my own love story too. I spent 3 years telling my friends that E and I were just friends and we would never date. So I could totally relate to Britt early on in the story when she bemoans the fact that people just can’t accept that a man and woman could be just friends. As my grandma said to me, i say to Britt – “Famous last words”

And speaking of that “more” they are journeying toward… that friendship set on fire…. I have two things to say:

1. The combination of utter tenderness, pent-up longing, and sizzling chemistry between them is swoonilicious times 100.

2. HOLY GUACAMOLE… those kisses, y’all. Their first kiss had me holding my breath and searching for my fainting couch and swooning all twitterpated-like.

In the midst of searching for answers regarding the untimely death of Zander’s uncle, trying to get the latest truffle recipe just right & planning for a Bradford sister wedding, the author gives us delicious quotes that make me swoon in word-smithing-and-romantic-heart delight.

And tucked away between these pages is a poignant and achingly sweet message: we were never meant to rely on ourselves or other people – rely only on God because He never fails. And He is there to supply all the grace we need.

Bottom Line: I. LOVED. IT. I could stop right there but I’ll also mention that Wade achieves the perfect blend of suspense, romance, family and faith. And those kisses!!! I also loved the snippets of text message & passed notes, and phone calls that enhanced both the plot and the characters.

I was so excited when I saw that this book was available to read and review; I have been checking pretty much every week and it finally was released to the advanced readers, and I read it over the weekend!

Becky Wade has been a long-time favorite author of mine; I loved her writings since her very first book came out, and I’ve been following and reading ever since.

Sweet on You is the third book in her “Bradford Sisters Romance” series, and probably my favorite so far. It follows the story of the youngest sister, Britt, and her best friend Zander, who has had a crush on her since meeting her as teenagers. Their story was so sweet and surprisingly full of adventure and mystery, which I had forgotten that Wade has been weaving into the books in this series. It kept my attention all the way through–I read it in one sitting Saturday morning; it took me five hours 😂. I would totally sit back down and read it through all over again too except I have so many other books lined up. The only thing I wish could have been different in the book would have been to have the characters have some sort of arc in their relationship with God; at the beginning of the book it mentioned that they kind of believed in God, but they didn’t really believe He was good or interested in their lives, and although they did pray when things got rough, there never really was a growth in their faith indicated. Usually, Wade does have the characters grow in their faith throughout the story, so I thought that was unusual for her. And perhaps them praying in the scary parts was supposed to be that “full circle, I believe in God now” thing, but I don’t remember there being anything mentioned after the ‘scary’ parts, so that’s why I’m mentioning it.Anyway, I would still totally recommend it, as I would anything of Wade’s, and I look forward to seeing what she comes out with next!

This final novel in Becky Wade’s “Bradford Sisters” series was as sweet as I expected, but even more adventurous, swoony, and relatable to my own faith than I thought. I loved it SO MUCH.

Let’s start with talking about the dynamics and depth of the story. It presents a complex friendship between Britt and Zander, his unrequited romantic love for her and the beginnings of her attraction to him. Also, the sisterly and family relationships are natural and important at this point in all of their connectedness. The mystery and slightly suspenseful plot aspects add even more excitement to the story. All of this combines perfectly in a story that feels fully fleshed out and relatable.

The friendship-turned-romance is transformed at just the perfect pace. I was impatient, of course, for both Zander and Britt to be honest and open about their feelings. We readers have been waiting 3 whole books! When they FINALLY, were, it was all sparks and sweetness and chocolate. I especially loved Zander’s quiet strength and introverted ways. We need more heroes like him in the world.

There are SO MANY quotable lines in Sweet on You! and not just from Becky’s pen. From Zander, too. 😉 One of my favorites: “she {Britt} disrupted him”.

I also smiled over the references to music (Phillip Phillips) and books (like bookish Nora), all the chocolate and cooking bits. Oh, and John and Nora’s peach cobbler contributions (if you’ve read True to You, you know what I’m talking about!).

The faith elements were important to the story, too. They added a richness and a focus that was more than just a romance or a mystery to solve, but rather an essential part of the characters’ lives and a requirement for their own relationships to thrive. The bottom line here: all love requires both bravery and vulnerability. Giving over control. God requires that of us, too — our perfect trust in Him to carry us.

Thank you to Prism Book Tours and Netgalley for the review copy. This is my honest review.

Final in a series about the Bradford Sisters, Sweet on You, is a sweet summer read. Becky Wade always draws you in and makes you invest in her characters. I give this 4 stars and recommend it for your summer reading stack.

Youngest sister, Britt is in love but mostly with chocolate and cooking; however, she has a best friend Zander with whom she has a vested interest since they were 14. Zander left for a European Book Tour touting his first novel because his feelings for Britt had evolved to the point he couldn't handle just friends anymore. Now his uncle has died supposedly from a heart attack and he is back.

Zander and Britt have a close relationship, able to finish each others sentences, understanding each other's quirks. They value their friendship so much that they want to protect it at all cost; but, for Zander, the cost could be too much.

They find themselves in the middle of a mystery surrounding the death of Zander's uncle; and even stranger, the fact that he might have been leading a double life. Things escalate to a point of danger and to a point of no turning back in their relationship.

It's worth your time to read but I felt it a little anti-climatic at the end or maybe a lack of closure on so much angst and mystery which is unusual for this author--but that is just my impression--and it did have a HEA ending. It may not seem so to others. I still consider her a favorite author and highly recommend her to you.

Thanks to Bethany House Publishers for allowing me to read this ebook through Netgalley. This review is my expressed honest opinion.

This book was so amazing! I have heard such great things about Becky Wade' s books but hadn't every picked one up until this one. I am so glad that I did, and now I will have to go back and read her previous books.

I loved how well written this book was. The faith and romance aspects were woven together so beautifully. Neither ever overpowered the other. The characters were easy to love and relate to. They felt so real!

I adored this book and would definitely recommend it.

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley, this review is my personal opinion.

I enjoy so much reading this series, I had my own copy of the first two books. True to you and Falling for you, even Then came you. And on this book is Brit time to tell her story, from True to you we know a bit of her and also about Zander; however, is what happened after what makes this story so compelling.

Brit is the younger one of the Bradford sister, she is a chocolatier, determine, a bit stubborn and also is prompt to have short relationships, she is not looking for settle down yet. She has her own business, a family that loves her and a best friend that has been for her since she was fourteen years old. On the other hand, we have Zander, he has been struggling for thirteen years about his feeling for Britt, he doesn't want to damage their friendship and so he has been a good friend just keep his feeling hidden. He receives an amazing opportunity on travel and also his novel make him earn money and security he didn't have while growing up.

There's a mystery about a missing piece art and so they start working together to find answers, feelings got a bit deeper. The reasons are more complicated than it seems and I must say this element is unexpected, but it adds something new to Becky Wade books, you are wondering and making theories along reading the book.

There are several things I truly like about this book: 1. We cannot fool God, He always knows what really is going on our heart. 2. Is necessary to rely on Him our all. 3. Sometimes waiting and praying does not mean God has to answer in our time, waiting is part of life 4. In our struggle God is real and he always there with us

In this book, I can see how Becky Wade is growing on a new level as the author and going deeper, not only with the characters. But the message behind this.

I recommend this series, all go through the book we got a glimpse of Nora and Willow story. Is better to read each one. So, if you like a good Christian romance story, family center, faith, second chance, and a wonderful end.

Truly grateful to the publisher for the opportunity for the ARC of this book.

"Sweet on You" is a fiction book by Becky Wade. Sweet on You is the third book in the Bradford Sisters series. Britt and Zander have been best friends since they have been thirteen. Zander was raised by his uncle. When his uncle dies he has many questions surrounding his death. Zander and Britt unravel each question to solve the many mysteries of his death. Zander also tried to show his support for his aunt during this change with the loss of his uncle. In the meantime their friendship deepens and what will become of their friendship? Sweet on you was given to me by the publisher to read and review. I am not obligated to give a positive review. Thank you to the publisher for allowing me to read and review this wonderful book. I am sharing my review with Amazon, facebook , my blog.

I've been looking forward to Britt and Zander's story and Sweet on You did not disappoint. For some reason I'm a sucker for the romantic trope where one friend is secretly in love with the other. Becky Wade pulled it off wonderfully in this story. She has a talent for making the characters relatable so that you root for them throughout the story.
If you're a fan of Becky Wade make sure you check out the entire Bradford Sisters series. You won't be disappointed.

I am a huge fan of Becky Wade, meaning I have to read her books as soon as they come out and I was so excited to be included on the book tour for her latest novel, "Sweet on You." This is the last book in her Bradford Sisters series and I have loved every page in this series. Britt is the youngest sister of the three Bradford girls and let me say her story is full of adventure and sweetness. Britt spent time overseas studying and perfecting the art of making chocolates, reading the descriptions of what she was making in her kitchen made me crave chocolates! Britt's best friend since middle school, Zander, has returned home following his uncle's death and Britt is realizing that she has feelings for him that go past feelings of friendship. Zander has been in agony for so many years watching Britt have various boyfriends, but right now she is single, although there is a guy trying to get her attention. As secrets are being found out involving Zander's uncle and his death, Britt teams up with Zander to look for the truth, yet with hearts involved, everything becomes more complicated.
What I love most about this book is how descriptive the writing is. I could vividly picture Britt's home and her shop, along with Nora's home and her vintage gown of course along with the food and sweets that were made. It was so easy to get caught up in the story due to that and that the characters are so real and easy to love. I have loved this time with the Bradford family out in the state of Washington and now am looking forward to what Becky Wade may write next!

Zander Ford met Britt Bradford when he was 14. Taken out of foster care by his aunt and uncle, and given the first stable home he'd ever known, Zander had already learned that keeping to himself saved him a lot of pain. Then Britt blitzed into his life and made him feel included, cared for, and loved - like a sister. Zander loves Britt, too, but unfortunately for his battered heart, the love he feels for her is as far from brotherly as it can possibly be. He even left town because he could no longer stand by and watch Britt fall in love with someone who wasn't him.

When Zander's uncle Frank dies under some mysterious circumstances, Zander returns to Merryweather for the funeral, and to look into things for his aunt. Britt is thrilled that her best friend is back, but very confused to find that the friendship she has placed such great store in has changed. And, what's with the tingles? She's never felt tingles around Zander before! He's her best friend, not her boyfriend, for crying out loud. She values their friendship too much to take him out of the friend zone, but if she doesn't, will she lose him altogether?

For his part, Zander can't continue to see Britt as just his friend. He's loved her - LOVED HER - for 13 years, and has watched her flit from boyfriend to boyfriend, never once considering him for the role. How can he possibly stand by and not speak up? As they work together to solve the mystery of Frank's death, will Britt finally see that the man she's been searching for has been her constant companion and friend more than half her life?

I have loved Zander's character from the first book in this series and have long thought that Britt was clueless to the point of being heartless. Sweet on You plumbs their depths a bit more than the other books did, and gives better reasons for her actions. Until this book, I didn't like her much, but after this book, I understood her better, and even grieved with her.

If you haven't read the other Bradford Sisters books, I would recommend starting with True to You, then Falling for You before you read Sweet on You. While Sweet on You can be read as a stand-alone novel, it is so much better when you know the family dynamics beforehand, and when you've already seen Zander and Britt interact. This is a contemporary Christian romance, with a touch of mystery and some suspense. As always, Becky Wade ROCKED this one! I loved it, and really wish there were more sisters for her to write about!! Highly recommend.

"Sweet on You" is mainly a romance with a mystery woven into it. What is not to like, when a book includes a swoon-worthy hunk who just happens to be a world-renowned author, as well as including chocolate and stolen artwork?

This was my first experience with stories about this family. I did not like Britt at first, but she certainly grew as a character late in the novel. I did want too shake Britt and tell her to wake up to the love right in front of her!

I liked the way the author wrapped things up nicely at the end, explaining all in an epistolary style. The backstory on Frank and Carolyn was certainly interesting and intriguing. I had to suspend my skepticism, however, as Britt and Zander involved themselves in solving a very dangerous situation. When amateurs take over an investigation like this, I always want to tell them to stay out of it and let the law enforcement investigate. The suspense built until the end of the novel, and the plot moved forward well.

However, here are a few negatives about this book. Personally, I dislike cutesy names like Zander and Britt, but that is my opinion. I also got really tired of the ongoing "loves me, loves me not" interactions between Britt and Zander. Get on with it, people! I dislike the writing style that uses the short, incomplete sentences for emphasis, which seems so common in contemporary writing.

I received this book from the publisher and NetGalley, in exchange for an honest review. The opinions here are entirely my own.

Britt Bradford and Zander Ford have been best friends for years. At least that’s what Britt has always thought, but she has been completely ignorant of the fact that Zander has loved her for years. Never wanting to rock the boat of friendship between them, he has kept his feelings to himself. As time has gone on, Zander has been worn down watching Britt give her heart to others without giving him a second thought. He doesn’t feel alive if he is not with Britt, but he is tortured when he is around her because of his feelings.

In the midst of all this angst, Zander must cut his trip short and return home because of the sudden death of his uncle. Shockingly, it appears everything known about the man has been a lie. He immediately throws himself into discovering the truth, and Britt insists on helping. Working together not only exposes Zander to more heartache, both of their lives are jeopardized. The question changes from whether or not Zander and Britt can become a couple, but instead, will the two of them survive?

Setting this in the small village of Merryweather, adds charm and fun to the tale, along with the pleasure of Britt’s amazing chocolate creations, and the faith of the characters. This thrilling story will keep you on the edge of your seat reading pages as fast you can. This is the third installment in the Bradford Sisters Romance Series, but Sweet on You stands on its own. This is the most exciting book of the series, but I have loved them all, and highly recommend every single one. If you like clean, well-written stories, full of excitement you will enjoy this 5-star book.

Sweet on You...I don't even know how to properly review this one. After reading (and loving) the first two books and prequel novella in this series, I was so looking forward to Sweet on You. It did not disappoint.

I felt so many emotions with this story. Zander was the perfect hero. He waited so patiently before telling Britt about his feelings and you know that must have been difficult.

I was pleasantly surprised by the mystery in this book. It was quite intense at times; which I enjoyed, but wasn't expecting in a contemporary romance. :)

All in all, I loved Sweet on You and recommend it. Can't wait for Wade's next book.

Thank you netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was a decent romance. Britt and Zander are childhood friends that have continued their friendship into adulthood. Zander is desperately in love with her but is scared to tell her for fear that it would ruin their friendship. Nothing new about this plot it's been done before. What's interesting is that the author decides to mix this with the mystery of his uncle's death. While at times it felt at odds with multiple plots at work, it worked out ok. We got our happy ending.

This story was so inspiring and heartwarming, and it captivated me from the very beginning. I am a huge fan of Becky's romance writing, and I look forward to telling others about her great work. I also look forward to more of her creative writing.

I love this author, but I will admit this series has been hit and miss for me. I loved the first book, the second wasn't my cup of tea, and so I was a little hesitant with this one. I will say that the over is well done though. It's the kind that you would pick up and look at just because of the cover. I'm not really sure what the cover has to do with the story, but it is pretty.

Do you need to read the other two stories before you read this one? No. Will it help with backstory and getting to know the other characters? Yes. It could stand alone, more than the other two I think. But if you wanted to read the other two, they all include spoilers of what will happen in the other sisters books, so just be aware of that.

With the last book I was annoyed at the "mystery" aspect. I didn't feel it added anything to the story. This book however, I didn't mind. It definitely needed it because there is only so much "I finally realize I like him, but I don't want to ruin my friendship" I can take. And there is a lot of that. A lot a lot of that in this book.

I do like the "friends to a relationship" aspect of this story, and I will admit I've always really liked Zander. Brit's character was kind of a miss to me, but I can see her really appealing to some readers. Anyway, this book did finish off the series nicely, and there is a chance I will read it again. I did like it more than the second book in the series.

This is book three in A Bradford Sisters Romance series (four if you count the prequel), even though it is a stand alone book you do miss a lot of the history in the Bradford sisters and Zander if you jump right into this one. Plus all three (or four) books are great reads so enjoy the entire series.

This novel will focus on Britt and Zander. They have been friends for years even if one is out of the country. When Zander finally comes home will their friendship blossom or shatter?

I love the sparks and friendship between Britt and Zander. Britts relationship with her family and so much more. There is mystery, romance, history and more all wrapped up in a great novel. I love the writing style of Becky Wade.

I have not been in a particular hurry to read Becky Wade’s romances, but if they’re all as good as Sweet on You, I have lied to myself. I need to hurry and read the first two in this series, although Sweet on You stands alone well.
Zander Ford has finally made a literary name for himself, only to be called home to deal with lies.
Lies like... he could get over loving Britt Bradford, his best friend... like the uncle who adopted him was everything he claimed to be...life could just go back to normal after his uncle’s funeral.
I loved the fact that this tale was more than just a fluffy romance. There was real substance to the problems that were keeping Zander and Britt apart. Plus, there was a great (for the reader) mystery involving the true identity of Zander’s uncle. Zander turns away from God because God doesn’t answer to Zander’s liking in Zander’s timing. This is so like us humans in general. I was brought up a little short as I wished Britt would stop being so self-sufficient that she held people at arm’s length. I realized I often try to make it on my own, not accepting others’ help. That doesn’t make us look strong, just stubborn. Ouch. But this is the best part of Christian fiction- seeing something of myself in a character that needs to be changed to produce a better person.
I found a few quotes to love.
“Once, he’d been an orphan convinced he didn’t need saving. But then Carolyn and Frank had proved him wrong when they’d gone ahead and saved him anyway.”
“He reminds me of a Dickens orphan. Tragic and brooding and gorgeous.”
“So many lies. The revealing of them made Zander feel as though the foundation of this house might be torn in half at any second by an earthquake.”
”He was God’s son. A son full of mistakes. But a son, nonetheless.”
I received a copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley. This in no way affected my opinions, which are solely my own.

First off, I should say that the cover of this book was absolutely gorgeous. It was what drew me to the book in the first place. The premise wasn't bad either. I enjoy stories where best friends get together.
However, this book had just too many details. It got quite tiring after the first 2 chapters.
I was more interested in the romance than in the mystery behind Zander's uncle's death but it was too slow for me. And I hated that Britt was so obvious. It got kind of annoying.
I understand her reasons for keeping Zander as just friends but it was just sad.
I think slow-going mystery books just aren't for me. But if you like mystery, with some romance, you might enjoy this book more than I did.

I was really looking forward to reading about Britt and Zander's relationship, since they have the perfect friendship vibe in the previous books. Britt's older sisters can see that Zander is sweet on Britt, but Britt just wants things to stay the way they always have. Honestly, I felt bad for Zander throughout the course of the story. Here he has waited for Britt his whole life (what guy does that?!) and she kind of buries her head in the sand. I felt like Zander got the short end of the stick.

What do you get when you combine friendship, chocolate and a love story - a fabulous book titled Sweet On You by Becky Wade. It is the third book in the Bradford Sisters Series. My only regret is not reading the first two before I read this one. It is certainly capable of standing on its own, but I can only imagine the richness it would have brought to know the other sisters and their stories before diving into Britt and Zander's story. Britt is following her dream of creating chocolate treats in her own shop. Zander is traveling the world when he is hit with news of his Uncle's death. When he returns to his hometown to sort out the details, Britt is thrilled to see her best friend. But, for Zander it's much more than that. He's been in love with her for years and everyone but Britt can see it. Can he maintain a friendship without exposing his true feelings? Will Britt discover a deeper truth? And a not-to-be forgotten twist of mystery surrounding his Uncle's death. Sweet On You brings romance, friendship, faith and mystery together in a way that warms your spirit and awakes deeper thoughts. I will now be going back to read the previous sisters stories as I can't wait to see what I missed!

Sweet on You is the conclusion to the Bradford Sisters trilogy, and gives the readers the story of Britt and Zander. Britt runs her own chocolate shop, Sweet Art, in Merryweather Historical Village, and Zander has just returned from a year and a half of travelling around the world in order to attend his Uncle Frank's funeral. Zander has been in love with Britt forever, but she has always seen him as one of her best friends. Should he make his feelings known, or should he try yet again to move on? And what is the truth about Uncle Frank's death, was it really just an accident?

I love Becky Wade's sweet romances, and I love the Bradford sisters. I didn't quite connect with Britt as much as Nora and Willow in the previous novels, but I did enjoy seeing how everyone was doing, and seeing Britt and Zander work through their relationship changes. I also loved seeing snippets of the caring things they'd done for each other over the years, without the other's knowledge. It certainly made for a "sweet" friends to more romantic tale. The mystery component of the book, while intriguing, wasn't even the highlight of the book for me; I enjoyed revisiting these sisters and their expanding family so much more!

I give this book 3.5 stars, rounded up to 4. Overall, this series comes together nicely, and I hope that maybe the author finds another reason to end up in Merryweather so that we can check in on the Bradfords! I definitely recommend reading them in order, starting with True to You, followed by Falling for You, and concluding with Sweet on You.

I am not a huge fan of Christian romances but I like sweet love as much as anyone. Although I hadn’t read the first books in this series I thought it might be a nice intro to the author and I was right. I wasn’t expecting the contemporary romance, immediately a friends to lovers tale, to also be a decently told thriller about an art heist. There’s a lot going on in the plot here besides the main romance and their major points (he’s tortured! And a writer! She’s a chocolatier! And an adrenaline addict!) but it mostly held together. Four sweet as chocolate stars.

Sweet on You by Becky Wade is a phenomenal end to this series. I have read the other two books before reading this one and I have to say that this one was the best of the three! I absolutely loved the relationship between the two main characters and the witty, romantic dialogue that develops between them. This book has some of the best romantic moments and dialogues that I have read. I stayed up way too late reading this book and I actually sent the author a message to tell her how much I enjoyed this book. I highly recommend it. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.

Whip-smart and snappy dialogue with a dash of sass and a dose of adorable populate the pages, keeping the tone fast-paced and emitting the easy, comfortable way that Britt & Zander have with each other.

I was excited to return to Merryweather and get to really know Bailey and Zander. I’ve been following their friendship through the 2 previous books, and it was no secret that Zander has more than friendship feelings for Bailey, but she had no idea. This story lived up to my hopes and desires. I really enjoyed seeing Bailey slowly realize her true feelings for Zander and learn to take a risk. Their story is wonderful, the chemistry between these two had me cheering for them the whole way through. While the romance was my favourite part of this book the addition of the art mystery gave me a bit of suspense that tend to look for in stories. I highly recommend reading this series from the first book, you will fall in love with not only the Bradford sisters but also the Merryweather community. Becky Wade has quickly become one of my favourite authors and while I am sad to say goodbye to these sisters I look forward to discovering her next story.

This was the perfect ending to a wonderful series. I enjoyed the pervious two novels which focused on the two older Bradford sisters and really looked forward to reading 'Sweet on You'. The story of Britt and Zander was a long time coming. I've been frustrated with Britt and her treatment of Zander for quite some time.

This book brings all the tension between the two and allows us to focus on them. For a romance book this brought a lot of mystery and suspense into the equation. I have always enjoyed Becky Wade's stories and this series is one of the best.

Becky Wade has another winner with the Bradford Sisters series finale Sweet on You.
Britt Bradford and Zander Ford, both of whom appear in the previous two books, finally get their book. Sweet on You, however, is not your average “best friends fall in love “ story. Britt and Zander have been friends for years, but Britt is oblivious to the fact that Zander has loved her all this time. Becky Wade moves them from “just friends” to forever in the most perfect romantic tale ever!

Becky Wade has done a masterful job telling this story. We learn some of Britt and Zander’s backstory through a series of notes and letters at the end of each chapter. Some of these contain the most tender expressions of their growing relationship that will ultimately end in love. The spiritual lessons contained in the story are thought provoking, but not preachy as is typical of books written by this author. We also are reunited with characters from the first two books in the series including the Bradford sisters’ grandma who provides humorous commentary!

The word pictures painted in this book are delightful. Wade is an expert wordsmith! One of my favorites: “He looked at her as if she’d just announced that the koi in the pond were performing a play.”

Occasionally there is a book that I want to read as quickly as possible to get to the end of the story, but at the same time I don’t want to read it at all because it will be over! This is such a book and I recommend it to anyone who loves love!

This is the third book in a trilogy on the Bradford sisters and in all honesty, I would have to say it was my least favorite. I like Britt. She's spunky and independent and sure that she should never depend on anyone. She tries so hard to be self-reliant, but in the end realizes how much she does need people and how much more complete her life can be when she opens up her heart.

Zander is just the best, rock-solid, dependable and deeply in love with Britt. You know how the story ends.

So while I loved the characters, Britt, Zander, Willow, Nora, and all the rest, the book just felt more fake to me. There was too much kissing and not enough life being lived. But yet the life that was portrayed also felt a little surreal. I can't go into a lot of detail without giving away the plot lines, but something traumatic happens and then life tries to go on as normal. Normalcy doesn't work for Britt and that's when she eventually falls apart and opens her heart, but it just felt like the rest of the story just hung there. What happened to the bad guys? Why wasn't there some debriefing for Britt and Zander? It felt incomplete.

I don't like to criticize a book because I know the author put time and effort into the story. And I liked the characters. I really liked the first two books in the series. Becky is a good author with a good writing style. I'll still read her books. This one just didn't click with me quite as much.

I received this book from Bethany House via NetGalley and was not required to write a positive review.

Another great read by Becky Wade and a great addition to the series. I have really enjoyed each character from this series and this was not different. Becky does such a good job of drawing you into her characters and I feel like I could be friends with any of them. The romance is sweet but not sappy and not R rated which I really appreciate.

This book surprised me. I thought it was going to be a lighthearted romance, but it tackles some very serious subjects - such as self-reliance verses reliance on God. I think Ms Wade did a good job with the character development, and there were a lot of interesting side characters to make the book even more interesting. The love story is sweet, and the side mystery is intriguing. I enjoyed it!

ugh, Sweet on You is such a sweet story. ❤ Love Becky Wade’s books.

Britt and Zander have been best friends since they met thirteen years ago, but unbeknownst to Britt, Zander has been in love with her for just as long. When Zander’s uncle dies of mysterious causes, he returns to Washington to investigate. As they work together to uncover his uncles tangled past, will the truth of what lies between them also come to light?

I’ve enjoyed reading about each of the Bradford sisters, and Britt and Zander’s story was no exception! Wade does a really good job of giving us a fun mystery tied in with a romance every time, and her writing style is definitely something to take a look at. 5 stars.

What a great conclusion to the Bradford Sisters series! Readers who've been with the series from the beginning have long anticipated Zander and Britt's romance, and it does not disappoint. (This is the place where I tell you that you absolutely should read these books in order because they are amazing, but you could pick up Sweet on You without having read the other books and have no problem jumping right in.)

Zander Ford has been in love with Britt Bradford since high school, and everyone knows except Britt. He even left their hometown to go on a world tour mainly because he couldn't stand to watch Britt in yet another relationship. When he cuts his trip short and returns home following his uncle's death, things finally begin to change.

Watching Britt slowly realize just what Zander means to her and seeing Zander finally decide to do something about his feelings for Britt makes for a really enjoyable reading experience! The "friends to lovers" trope is one of my favorites, and Wade does it so well here.

As has been the case with each book in the series, Wade also includes an intriguing mystery, this time surrounding Zander's uncle's death and surprising past. This mystery not only leads Zander and Britt closer to each other, but it also helps Britt confront her reliance on herself and helps her recognize her need to trust the Lord.

At nearly 400 pages, Sweet on You is a long book, but I wish it was even longer! As is always the case with a Becky Wade book, I finished the book before I was ready to leave the characters behind. And now comes the wait for Wade's next novel!

Sweet on You the third book in Becky Wade’s Bradford Romance Series is an excellent addition to this sweet and charming series. Readers will love the excellent romance in this story as they follow two best friends that fall for each other. Towards the end, the romance tends to go a bit slow, but readers are already invested and love the characters enough to hold on and see what happens next. Wade also adds in a fun twist of mystery, which enhances this already thrilling story. It is fun to see characters from previous books in the series showing up in this one as well. This is definitely a story that readers will not want to put down!

"Sweet on You" is the 3rd book in this series and did not disappoint. We got to see a bit about Britt ad Zander in the first 2 books and it was fun to see how they get together. They have been best friends, but Britt has been oblivious to the fact that Zander is in love with her.

Becky Wade writes in such a way that you don't want to put the book down. She also writes in a way that makes you feel like you literally know the people she is writing about.

Each book in this series is filled with trust and faith in different scenarios. I highly recommend not only this book, but all 3 in the triology.

This was a really sweet book! I really enjoyed reading Britt’s story and coming back to the Bradford Sisters world (though it’s been a FULL 2 years since I read book 1 and the prequel and never read book 2 lol). Britt was always the sister that I was the most interested (master chocolatier?? SIGN ME UP) in reading about, and this was a really sweet story about her!

I love books where storylines tie together, and this one was no exception: I really enjoyed seeing the characters from previous books come into play, and seeing their personalities from each different perspective was really fun. Britt as a character was really fun to read as well. I again really liked the notes and emails etc that were scattered throughout the book, especially as a flashback.

There was a little bit more of a suspense aspect of the book that I didn’t expect, and so that was really fun to read, and was a little bit different than the generic romance that I was expecting to read about.

I am still not a fan of how the book approaches dating and romance and men like . . . an objective thing? There were WAY too many pictures of her soft wispy hair or his well defined, dark muscles for my liking, and there were DEFINITELY too many-flashes-of-anticipation type kisses that I did NOT want to read about.

For that reason, I do not think I will be reading book 2 of this series, nor will I be reading any of the other books of this author. I understand that there was attraction between the two parties, but . . . maybe we did not have to see it and feel it?

Compared to True to You, I think I definitely relate to/like the character (Nora) better than Britt, though I did decidedly enjoy reading about Britt’s life: again, chocolatier. (The descriptions of the chocolate actually made me go break into a box of truffles that my family had, haha!). On the other hand, I enjoyed the suspense bit of this book a lot: it gave it a different storyline than just fluffy romance.

There was less Christian content in this book (at least from what I can remember), which . . . is not really required, but it is worth a mention. Britt and Zander were also in some . . . interesting positions as a couple, and yes, I knew they were friends before, but they . . . kinda got really close? So that is up to viewers discretion I suppose.

Overall, it was a fun read. Content wise it was not great, but I did enjoy reading the story!

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion. I was not required to write a positive review.

Make sure you have some chocolate on hand when reading this book, because it is guaranteed to make you crave some! I loved this final novel in the Bradford Sisters series, where the story follows the youngest sister and her journey of falling in love with her childhood best friend. I loved how Becky included the other two sisters into the story and we got to know what happened to them in their relationships. Becky weaved God into the story line, which acts as a great witness to those readers who may not be believers. I loved this series and am sad that it's over. Would definitely recommend this book to those who love a good romance.

Friends to something more is one of my favorite romance plot lines and this one DELIVERED. Zander is so sweet and adores Britt and this book lovingly crafts their story of Britt FINALLY realizing she wants and needs something more than best friendship with Zander.

Featuring the last of the Bradford sisters, Sweet on You will make you reach for your chocolates as you settle in for cozy read. A bit of a summary: Britt, a successful chocolatier with a thriving business, ignores the twinges of attraction she feels for Zander and is unwilling to explore a romance with the guy everyone else thinks is perfect for her. But when it’s discovered Zander’s uncle might have had a second identity, Britt volunteers to help investigate his past, uncovering a dangerous mystery. In the process, headstrong Britt must face appearing needy and weak—even in front of God—and Zander must confront his greatest fear: losing Britt. Britt’s sisters return as strong support characters.

Wade delights readers with mouthwatering descriptions of chocolate and cozy scenes of friendship. If you've read the first two of the series, you will find this a fitting and fun conclusion.

Becky Wade continues the series in a fascinating manner with Sweet On You! Delightful characters and a perfectly progressing timeline will make it difficult to put this book down!
