Description
Rory O'Brian is a man haunted by his past—by the best friend he couldn't save and the enigmatic woman who slipped out of his grasp. Now he has a real specter to deal with. The ghostly apparition visits Rory at night, bringing bone-chilling warnings of dark things to come. Mina Johnson comes to his aid like a knight in shining armor. Or shiny lip gloss. As the founder of Spiorad, a paranormal investigation agency, she's the ideal person to help Rory with his mysterious ghost girl. At least, she would be, if she weren't also the woman who spent one glorious, mind-bending night with him years ago. As the former lovers work together to solve the mystery surrounding his home, it becomes apparent Mina is not only the perfect person to help Rory exorcise the literal ghosts in his house but to help him battle the demons of his past.

Okay, this is a hard review to write. Mainly because I don't know how I feel about this book. I kind of feel like I was reading two different books. One a lighthearted romance about a couple that connected one night years ago and never saw each other again. The other was a serious book with some scary ass ghosts, descriptions of child abuse and family murder. I would read both separately and love them. Together they were more of a problematic mix.
There were elements of this story that I loved, the author has some serious ability to write a scary ghost scene (that first scene!!!!!), the relationship between the sisters, the childhood flashbacks - it's just diluted with everything else the author threw in there. I suspect a strong editor and some beta readers would have made the world of difference to this book but there's definitely glimpses of real talent here. I'll certainly be keeping an eye out to see how this authors talent and skill progress as she writes more.
This book was provided to me by the publisher in exchange for an honest review. Any opinions are 100% my own and not swayed by receiving an arc.

Loved the title.
Did not like the book so much for two reasons...simple story and not enough character development.
It felt more like YA tale.
3/5 from me.

Wishing I was a wordsmith so I could give spot-on reviews. However a wordsmith I am not, so my humble efforts will have to do. I quite enjoyed A Ghost of a Chance, enough so that I found myself reading until the wee hours of the night. A would say it's an easy fun read that should keep you turning the pages. A definite three and a half stars that's for sure worth the read.

Absolutely love this book. Normally I do paranormal romance and historical romance somehow this title called to me. And I’m glad it did. Once you start reading this book you will not want to put it down. Fabulous characters but more importantly a fabulous story. Make she want to believe in psychic energy. Hold you on the edge of your seat throughout the book. Not to be missed

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of A Ghost of a Chance.
This novel was amazingly optimistic even though it definitely dealt with some dark topic...which seems difficult to pull-off. (Pat on the back to Katie Baldwin for that!) I really enjoyed immersing myself in this novel. The business run by psychic friends was phonomenal. I loved every character--each with his/her own dynamic personality and abilities. With characters so vividly portrayed and real, I wish I could meet most of them. What a great book! I will definitely read this author again.
Thank you to NetGalley and Katie Baldwin for the ARC!

Where do I start? I loved this book, the story, the characters and the setting. Ghostly happenings, rock stars and love are a perfect blend to create a truly memorable story. I devoured this book every chance I got and stayed up til the wee hours to finish it. I have my fingers and toes crossed that this is the start of a series.

A Ghost of a Chance was a decent read with likeable characters. The book has some fun paets, but a little disjointed.

First I would like to Thank the author, publisher and NetGalley for providing me with the ARC of this novel for my honest review.
This was a fun read for me! I enjoyed every bit of it! The romance, the supernatural and the friendships (alive and ghost) were all amazing. I had this book ready to read at every spare moment. A must read!

With thanks to #Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC.
There are two story threads woven into this book: the first is reasonably simple, boy and girl meet then have a miscommunication then meet again years later and work things out. The second is darker: involving child abuse, familial murder, doomsday cults and drugs - although maybe the drugs are a third storyline in their own right.
I found this to be an enjoyable read, with a touch of humour and warmth generated by the secondary character’s interactions with the main characters. I’d be happy to read more books with these characters in future.

Wow, A Ghost of a Chance was just the kind of book I was searching to read.
