Description
Gunnar Dahl is a famous mystery writer with a secret. He meets Åse Halvorsen at the St. James Court Art Show in Louisville, Kentucky and feels instantly drawn to her. She may be the woman of his dreams, but will their lives turn into a nightmare?
Åse Halvorsen is as beautiful as she is talented. And she is fiercely independent. But trouble (we're talking, BIG time trouble here) seems to follow her everywhere.
Gunnar is a protector, a nurturer, and above all a lover. His need to keep Åse safe is his burning desire. It won't be easy.
Åse is a jewelry designer we heard about in The Designer with David Drummond. She makes her living with her Åse Heartware business.
The story is a Drummond Series spin-off and the first in the Lovers in Louisville Series.
This is a standalone story with a guaranteed HEA. No cliffhanger.
Adult themes and hot, sexy scenes are intended for mature readers only.

Once again this author has given us a suspenseful story filled with interesting and complex characters. This is a great start to what looks like it will be another compelling series. I look forward to the next installment.
All of her books are related, but each stands alone without a cliffhanger. I loved reading about the characters we got to know in her first series. It's fun to see what they're up to in this one, even though they take a back seat.
It was interesting to delve more into the art world in a different way from her previous book, The Designer. She also got into the mindset of a writer in this one, so that was fun.
The story that evolved was full of suspense and, I really enjoyed it! The relationship between the h and H is heartwarming. Lots of "feels" in this book, for sure!
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC given in exchange for my review.
