Description
In the next book in the award-winning Scout Moore series the ever-adventurous junior ranger ("I am ranger of my own backyard!") travels with her family to Yellowstone National Park, where they visit thermal features, watch wildlife, and gaze in wonder at the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. Along the way her younger brother Wesley insists they will find a dragon in the park, and he's partially proven right when they come across Dragon Spring. Their guide, Ranger Bob, is ever helpful in helping Scout Moore and her family discover the wonders of our first national park.

Scout and her family take a trip to Yellowstone, where they learn about the park’s wonders and history, and where Scout and her brother Wesley earn their Junior Ranger badges.
The latest Scout Moore, Junior Ranger book takes us to the nation’s oldest - and most popular - national park, Yellowstone. There, Scout and Wes Moore learn about geothermal pools, geysers and some of the animals who call Yellowstone home.
I absolutely adore the illustrations. Jeffrey Ebbeler’s artwork is whimsical and provides additional context to the story, while Theresa Howell’s text provides a straightforward introduction to one of the nation’s beloved natural treasures.

What a gorgeous book! Such phenomenal illustrations. We've never been to Yellowstone Nat'l Park but our kids are junior rangers and they will love this story and bug us to visit. Definitely impairing and a great overview of what Yellowstone has that would appeal to kids. I would own it for the illustrations alone.
