Description

After the sudden death of Allison Lorde's father in a motorcycle accident, she vows never to love a man who rides the beastly machines. But when a memory from her past rides up on his bike, looking all bad-boy sexy, the sweet promise of a shared kiss long ago makes it difficult to deny his steamy seduction. This is Allison and nicks book, after Allison‘s father dies in a motorcycle accident she swears to never love a man who rides again! Nicks Number one passion is motorcycles until the girl from his past that he kissed as a teen shows up with womanly curves that just need to be explored! Nick definitely has some kink that he likes and Allison seems to be OK with all of it but she wants nothing more than just friends with benefits. This book was OK it was a little short and it didn’t catch my attention but it was a decent quick read! Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!

Revving Her Heart is an enjoyable, quick book for moments when you just don’t have 4 hours or more to dedicate to reading. The whole book can be read in about 3.5 hours.

Alison returns to her father’s home (now hers) after his untimely death due to a motorcycle accident. We quickly learn Alison’s dislike for motorcycles, a given since riding one killed her father. So, of course, when her childhood crush, Nick, pulls up on one, she’s certain that a relationships between them would never work out.

And, then come the sexy bits. They were steamy and flirted with a bit of kink. It’s kind of a second chance romance meets opposites attract story. Nick and Alison have good chemistry and cute banter. I was not too thrilled about Alison’s sexual inexperience. I mean, she is a 26-year old college grad-I would expect her to have more experience-and I’m not crazy about the whole experienced man comes in a rocks the woman’s world trope, so there will never be another, BUT their relationship was cute enough that I was willing to buy into it.

I also really liked how Alison was a metal worker. You don’t see too many female characters with interesting jobs like that and it made me invest in her even more. And the world created was idyllic. I wanted to live there!

There were a couple of unexpected twists to this story (and I’m not sure all of them were necessary). There were solid secondary characters, but at times I felt there was so much to unpack, I felt rushed. However, I WAS satisfied with the ending & I would read the second book in this series, especially now that I know some of the character options for book 2.

I voluntarily received a copy of this for an honest review from NetGalley.

First and foremost I should warn readers this is a fast paced read. They smash a ton in a short amount of time and at times it feels so rushed you are let down.

The plus sides to this book are the characters...they are lovable and relatable. There is so much going on in there lives it feels like there should be more like 400 pages to this. I wanted more and more.

Motor cycle crashes, death, trust issues and long lost loves. Not to mention catty women and cute fluffy dogs.

Many relationship is hints for more to come...I really hope there is more to come. I hate that it left me feeling completely confused.

Six years earlier- Natalie kept chanting in her head- I need the money. Natalie was suppose to have this week off but Erin had begged her to take the unplanned flight so she could go to some unplanned icon’s concert. As much as natalie wanted to spend the week at the hospital with her mother as she fought cancer she needed the money to help cover her mother’s medical bills. But to be honest working prince Iman Karaior’s private flight barely made a dent in the medical bills. The man was also very unpleasant. Natalie had only been working at Kayleina Private Flight for a few months and the money was better but the rich clientele left a lot to be desired. Natalie had been a flight attendant for five years. The prince was hot even if he was a butt and her heart skipped a beat every time he looked at her. The plane had to make an emergency landing and Iman heard the woman scream. Than he saw she was trapped in her part of the plane, he wouldn’t leave her alone. Iman sent his guards to get help and he did get hre out of the plane but noticed a sandstorm would be there very soon. They just shut the door to the hanger and the storm hit. A fire erupted in Natalie when Iman touched hre. Natalie had a bad gash in her arm but Iman fixed her up. Natalie found a string of lights and went exploring. She found an aged light aircraft and sat in that. Iman called until he found her than he brought water and some sandwiches from the plane. They talked about Natalie’s mom being in the hospital for the month than Iman said he knew the pain as his father had cancer and with the best doctors they still couldn’t help him. Iman had been the good son, the responsible son. When his father passed away he would become the Crowned Sheikh and there was certain expectations of him. Natalie and Iman had sex. The next day they were rescued by his uncle Sheikh Salon. Natalie wanted to try to see Iman when she learned his father had died but his uncle Sheikh Salon called her a whore and told her she was to leave immediately that is what Prince Iman wanted. Sheikh Salon had a check for her silence of a hundred thousand dollars natalie refused it but the Sheikh brought up it could be used n her mother's medical bills. Against her conscience natalie took it and left immediately. NOW- georgia wanted Natale to go out with her but Natalie said she couldn’t go. She had been out with georgia two months ago that was the last time she went out. Natalie had got pregnant from the one night with Iman and she now had Iris a very smart little girl. Natalie needed to find a job more grounded but until she paid the last of her mother's medical bills she couldn't. Gordon was natalie’s savior. He and georgia had dated briefly four years ago but they decided they made better friends. He had stepped in one month when Natalie's regular nanny couldn’t watch Iris when she was a trip for work. The cranky chef fell in love with iris and she with him. Than natalie had to fire her nanny and Gordon and Georgia if she was available watched Iris while Natalie worked. Natalie had listed Iman as Iris’s father after Sheikh’s Salon threat. Natalie told Iris her dad was gone when she had asked about him.
I absolutely loved this book. I didn’t want to put it down and didn’t and read it in one setting. I hope to read the next book this author writes. Ms. North you did it yet again -another outstanding book about a sheikh and this one included a flight attendant with this sheikh. I loved Iman and Natalie together and how they interacted. Iris was just too cute and definitely added to this story. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend it.

While I’m all for a fast, action-packed thrill ride read, this story felt somewhat rushed and left me feeling that there should have been so much more. A lot of areas were covered, such as death, lost love, mistrust, bitchiness, and some wonderful canine cuteness too; but it all felt to hurried. I did like the main characters though and found their depictions to be realistic and relatable. I’m hoping the author will either extend her next story's length, or maybe not try to put so much into fewer pages. Overall, a good read.

Allison is devastated by her fathers death riding the motorcycle he so loved and vows to have nothing to do with another rider until her first crush, Nick, returns on the scene. She puts her misgivings aside as she starts to fall for him slowly starts to explore her attraction to him. Entertaining but ends abruptly, not really a cliffhanger as its not that sort of book but there are obviously follow ups planned. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own

I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion. Whew, Nick and Allison have a deep connection right from the beginning. They had a lot to work out in their relationship but once things started to heat up, there was nothing that could come between them.

This is fast paced and a short read, I liked the characters but I didn't feel like I knew them. This was just okay for me something was missing for me.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher, I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

The blurb sounded promising, but when I started reading I felt like there were parts missing. For me it moved to quickly throughout this rather short book.
Some of the side characters where just annoying and it didn’t really fit in some places to add them into the scene. I think it was meant to cause drama/a twist, but for me this fell a bit flat.

I received this ebook copy from the publisher and NetGalley for an honest review.

Really liked the premise of this book and the story line but I think the book needs a content editor to help with the story flow. I really liked Nick especially the handcuff scene. Allison issues seemed to take over the whole book so I didn't really like her. In my opinion Nick was the better character. I would try another book by this author

Fast paced read, if anything too fast and a little short, I would have liked it to be longer. The characters are great and really relatable and I hope there is more in future books, hopefully she’ll make them a bit longer too.

This book was not at all what I expected, but was pleasantly surprised for lots of reasons. First, this was a new-to-me author and when I see a motorcycle on the cover, I MUST read it. I don't know what I was really expecting, to be honest, but what I got was a very thoughtful and sweet love story between childhood acquaintances Allison and Nick, who reunited after the death of Allison's father. First, this all takes place in Hershey, Pennsylvania, which is only 40 minutes from where I live and that was pretty awesome because the author really stayed true to geographic locale, weather, etc. The relationship between Nick and Allison is cutesy and then grows to passionate and then there's a tad bit of eroticism thrown in for good measure. But there's still an underlying issue between the two that neither one of them can seem to communicate correctly about and the last few chapters of the book are about whether they will or won't, and how they deal with a new tragedy will either make things easier or harder for the pair. So you'll have to read it to see how that goes. The supporting characters are great and had wonderful personalities that really aided in the storytelling. I will definitely recommend this book and I can't wait to see what the author comes up with next.

3.5 stars for this book

I liked the story it just felt a little rushed at times. Especially at the beginning and end of the book. I understand cliffhangers but it still felt rushed to even leave it with a cliffhanger.
That being said, I did like the characters. I found the book easy and quick to read. It did keep my attention right to the end. If there is a 2nd book in the series I will read it. I'm hoping it will expand more on Nick and Allison's relationship towards the end of the book.

Allison seems like a sweet girl who struggles after the death of her father. Her concerns were legit and relatable. I like it when characters have realistic feelings and issues, it makes the story easier to connect to.

Nick holding a candle for Allison for 10 years seems interesting. I would have liked more background on what they were like while they were apart. I felt like he and Allison rushed into their relationship without much talk about their time apart. I would have enjoyed that back story.

Revving Her Heart is fast paced! I was impressed by Candace Vonn's ability to balance this romance with the launch of the series. I really didnt feel the story suffers for the introduction of so many series characters; and the characters are layered and intriguing, which bodes well for the series. Candace creates a detailed world and has peopled it with compelling characters. Revving Her Heart features a strong hero and heroine, clear voiced and passionate. Their journey to happily ever after was entertaining. I'm on board for the series!
I received my copy through NetGalley under no obligation.

Revving Her Heart is the first book in the Blacke Brothers series by Cadence Vonn. Nick Blacke's number one passion is motorcycles until the gangly girl he'd kissed as a teen shows up with womanly curves that beckon to be explored. She seems eager to let him and even embraces his penchant for kink, but when he wants more, he realizes revving her engines might be easier than revving her heart.

Revving Her Heart is a contemporary romance with a lot of heart. Allison is dealing with the loss of her father, and a less than loving relationship with her mother. She is trying to come to terms with it all when Nick comes back into her life. They each have their own fears and doubts, but Al's seem to be much heavier to bear, and sometimes cut the deepest. I also like that they really had some struggles but in the end compromised and worked things out like adults rather than just ignoring the issues that might cause issues down the road. I liked the banter and connection between the pair, although even with their history I do think some things moved more quickly than I expected. However, I really enjoyed the story as a whole. I do need to say that there were a couple moments that I had to go back and reread previous pages because I missed how they got to a certain location or in mentioned outfits, sometimes giving up and just going with it. This is definitely a book with plenty of heat, and exploration of some kink. So, if you prefer your romance without some serious sex scenes, then you might want to skip this. The heat starts fairy early and regularly makes itself known. I really liked the secondary characters, and want to see how Nick's brothers find their own happy endings, not to mention Hailey and Rebecca. So, while I enjoyed but did not love this read, I do find that I like the author's voice and want to continue reading about whatever might happen next.

Revving Her Heart is a good romance, and I can see a great deal of potential for this series. I will definitely be giving the next book a read.

Revving Her Heart is a sweet sort of second chance romance with almost lovers from a decade ago. It also had heart more than romantic wise with grief, loss, healing, family, friends and passions. Absolutely loved how those elements created depth and relativity that may connect to readers and resonate in them in multitude of ways. Doesn't hurt that it will have readers rooting for the hero and heroine, as well as hoping the brothers find better love interests too, perhaps in their own stories?

This book was complementary of Wild Rose Press and Net Galley. I think the pages of this book burns in person because it was so hot. If you ever wondered what kink can be in real life, this book gives you a great view of it. The story is a touching love story for past years. As a whole, this book was one of my favorites.

Allison and Nick spent time together when they were young. Years later, Allison is dealing with the death of her father from a motorcycle accident. She is living in her father's house and her childhood crush Nick show up on a motorcycle. Allison has sworn to never data a guy with a motorcycle. Nick understands but isn't giving in and is determined to have Allison. This is a fast paced story with so much packed in it felt rushed at times.

I received a copy of this book via Netgalley and am leaving a review.

This was for sure a quick read for me and though at times I found myself so annoyed with the female lead, I could see the draw of this book. It didn’t go through the will they won’t they plot that a lot of similar romance books have but rather the author jumped straight into having the female & male lead fall into a relationship. These two did have some previous connection and I think the author did a great job in explaining their background so the character’s rushed relationship wouldn’t feel too forced and quick so I definitely appreciated that.

It did have some low level angst pertaining to both the female lead’s insecurities and fears & just plain miscommunication but this issue was wrapped up pretty quickly as well. All in all it was for sure an entertainingly short read!

Thank you NetGalley for the eARC. I really like this book. I read anything with a motorcycle on it and this book did not disappoint at all. I am always pleased to see a guy be sweet with a girl. A lot of us forget that love is out there
