“Siegebreakers is at once a gritty, violent thrill ride and the first book I would hand to someone who wants to understand Gaza today.”

“Based on an industrious research, this dramatic and powerful tale shows once more the power of fiction to illuminate and expose what the media fails, or is unwilling, to disclose about life under siege in the Gaza Strip and its impact on the people incarcerated in it.”

I really liked this book! It's a refreshing perspective coming from an action/spy title and I appreciated the endnotes about the real-life events that inspired moments in the story. It was a fast-paced, thrilling ride from beginning to end but always with very human moments and characters at the centre of the narrative and sensitivity when discussing deaths. Thank you for the opportunity of letting me read this, I'm very glad I did because otherwise I probably wouldn't have heard about this book.
