This is a very simple easy to understand book. It is full of God's promises to us about certain areas of our life. It has words of encouragement from God to pick you up on your really bad days. You can use this as a devotional or just open it to any page and start reading for a wonderful promise from God. This devotional would make a wonderful gift for all the women on your Christmas list. God's Heart for You by Janice Thompson is a soothing balm to add to your morning (or evening) devotionals.

Each devotional begins with a scripture verse that the author then expounds on. This is followed by more verses to shore up the author's message and the verse's promise. The book focuses on ninety-three promises or specific words from God that the author claims might change your life. While not precisely life-changing for me, I personally found the book comforting and filled with messages of hope that were an encouraging way to start my day.

While this is not a devotional that will take you through the year, it is still one I would encourage you to add to your morning devotions. If you need a word of comfort or encouragement and want to take something with you as you go throughout your busy day, this is a book for you. I highly recommend it!
