Thank you @netgalley for gifting me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

It's #climatestrike day!! In honour of today's protests I took the time to read 'We are all Greta' by Valentina Giannella. I wanted to educate myself on the statistics of climate change and the sort of research and action that is taking place to combat it.

I loved the infographics and illustrations throughout, and really enjoyed the scientific yet simple explanations given. I feel more equipped to deal with the jargon that comes with climate change and more au fair with how I can make a difference. I would definitely give this 4/5 stars.

Books like We Are All Greta should be required reading material, everywhere! We are at a critical point where action must be taken if we want any chance of preventing further climate change and global warming - before it is too late.

We are on a course of irreversible, man-made damage to our planet, but we can all play a part in saving. Just by making what may seem as small changes to our everyday lives will, in turn, have an even greater impact on our planet. If you want to do your part, then read this book!

It's about time we take care of our planet and do whatever we can to protect it - because there is no planet B.

As I’m writing this review, young people and activists are gathering in cities and towns across the globe to raise awareness amongst the worlds population of the existential emergency we face as a planet. The science speaks for itself, but politicians and big business still seem to have their heads in the sands. Even those that listen don’t seem to realise the problem. They talk down to them blaming each other for the crisis. It’s almost like saying to a little kid, well done and then turning away whilst continuing to pursue policies to make it worse.

For all those doubters, read this book. Learn from the science of it. It’s aimed at teenagers but yet it’s eloquent and reasoned vocabulary, it puts the science across in terms that are easy to understand. The chapters highlight what we must avoid, what will happen to the earth if we don’t act now. There’s tips how to adapt yourself so you don’t add to the heating so much.

At first I wondered if this was another of those books that was there to cash in on the climate emergency. I approached it with scepticism, yet after reading the words, I no longer worry. It should be in ever school library in the world, along with the speeches of Greta Thunberg. Lots of figure, not false news. The youth of this world inherit the earth but yet the older statesman and companies care more about profit than doing something together to stop this happening,

Sorry to ‘get on my soapbox’ but it’s just I feel strongly about this. Millions of young people across the world also feel this way. Read this book now, it might just help us change the world.

What a great little book. It's not too long, but long enough that it gets the important ideas across. I think everyone should read it, especially those who either A) don't believe in climate change even though it's a scientifically proven fact, or B) find the whole ordeal complicated and too sciencey. This book breaks it down into easy chunks that anyone could understand. It's really fascinating how one girl can inspire so many, in such a short period of time. This is what the world needs in order to take things seriously. And yes, there are always going to be those that talk young people down, or don't believe in climate change at all, but if we can shift the balance so that those who care and have passion outweigh the others, it will not matter. Coming from a place in Canada where the vast majority of our industry is based upon the extraction and usage of fossil fuels, causes like this I have a great amount of passion for, even in the communities I grew up in. We are all Greta, and we can all do our part.

We Are All Greta is a great book that teaches about the causes of climate change and what we as stewards of the planet can do to take care of our home. The book is thorough in its exploration of the science behind climate change and its solutions without being overwhelming and the visuals are bold and vibrant. The book has a hopeful tone and is suitable for late elementary school kids and beyond. Adults are sure to learn a thing or two as well! Highly recommend for purchase.

Another timely, yet timeless book about the fearlessly, inspirational Swedish teenage activist and Nobel Peace Prize candidate Greta Thunberg. Through in-depth text, bold illustrations, data charts and infographics, Valentina Giannella skilfully sets out the basic ideas required to understand and tackle climate change in an accesible yet scientific way.

A critical book for every school, library and bedroom bookcase.

Valentina Giannella's We Are All Greta is a moving, informative, beautifully-illustrated book that is certain to kickstart the flutterings of change in the hearts of the young (and maybe even the not-so-young). Focussing on the extraordinary work of the 16-year-old Swedish climate change activist, Greta Thunberg, it disseminates a plethora of facts in easily-accessible terms and charts the rise of one teenage girl in her quest to save the world. Over the years, a lot of us have fallen victim to the logic that, even if you really, really want to, a single person can not change the world - but Greta, and the empowering way that Giannella writes about her, clearly shows that that long-parroted rhetoric is far from the truth. Because, one person can make a difference. If you look closely, you will see that they already are.
The short (but insanely impactful!) book illustrates this point through its eye-catching use of infographics and its quick, simple guides to preventing further climate change. Strength comes from knowledge like this; from equipping yourself with the weapons that you need to survive and to thrive. And hope fills my heart when I think that so many young people are seeking out this strength for themselves; that they are pressing this book into each other's palms; that they are ready to step up and make a difference. Because, after-all, there is no Planet B.

I am amazed by this book. Honestly, I didn't expect to enjoy it so much. And the information is accompanied by beautiful illustrations that make this book incredible.
"We are all Greta" is a book that we should all read, and should be mandatory in schools. I didn't know all that information related to global warming. I found it very interesting what other countries are doing to save our planet. Greta inspires.
The book gives facts, statistics, consequences, reflections, consequences, but most importantly, ways in which we can help the Earth.

A great and informative book about what we could all do to fight climate change and global warming.

I decided to read this book to educate myself more and to be capable of understanding the current situation and the protests. I found the book very insightful and scientifically exhausting, yet very accessible and easy to follow.

I loved the fact that chapters are short yet very rich of information. This book is not only for children and young adult but also a great resource for adults and parents.

Thanks to the publisher and to NetGalley for the ARC in exchange of my honest review.
