Description

The world is in crisis. Camp David lies in ruins. Fortifications resembling the Berlin Wall surround The White House. An assault on Guantanamo Bay releases dangerous enemies and leaves slaughtered guards lying in their blood. In the Vatican, the Pope is at risk, while in Moscow a powerful man seeks revenge.

In the never-ending war of good versus evil, passionate men and women will take on the challenge of rescuing civilization. But one will wage an even more personal crusade that may be doomed from the start.

In the critically acclaimed Found in Time, a select group of Marines were tasked with testing a top-secret time travel technology in the hope of turning the battle against terrorism in their favor. Following great reviews and in response to readers’ requests for more, author JK Kelly continues the extraordinary journey and riveting action in The Lost Pulse.

Advance Praise

THE LOST PULSE is a gripping sequel to FOUND IN TIME, in which a select group of Marines tested a top-secret time travel technology in the hopes of turning the battle against terrorism in their favor. What sets THE LOST PULSE apart from similar-sounding scenarios is its focus in thriller-style, nonstop action that eschews a focus on scientific probability alone in favor of exploring the political and social conundrums posed by terrorist actions.

Discussions of responses to terrorism and their impact on global freedom are juxtaposed with fast-paced action as the vigilante time travelers face the challenge of just how to affect their future. Readers thus receive intriguing, thought-provoking action that gives pause for though on the mechanics of directing freedom as they absorb a fast-paced, supercharged plot peppered with satisfying cat and mouse games.

In many ways, THE LOST PULSE is about actively creating a better world. The question becomes who should be in charge of the manipulation-and do the end results justify the means? Most of all, is any single group of individuals savvy enough to weildthis power without destructive results?

Faced with such questions as well as unexpected acts of heroism and difficult truths from the past, characters charge into the unknown in a manner that will engage thriller readers right up to the end, thoroughly immersing them in the lives of Popes, Presidents, Marines, and individuals who fight for love, family, freedom, and self. ---Reviewed by D. Marketing Plan

Author Bio:

Kelly attended Upper Darby High School and went on to Penn State University where he studied Law Enforcement and Journalism. Once he went to his first NASCAR stock car race he was hooked and before long was spending weekends covering auto races as a freelance writer and photographer. His work was published under the JK Kelly name in Super Stock, Car Craft, and Hot Rod Magazines. Once he was offered a job with the Gatorade 88 Racing Team he moved to Charlotte and became Darrell Waltrip's PR Director. A sad set of circumstances forced Kelly back home to help out in the family business but once that was sold, the stars aligned, and Kelly was back in motorsports. In the mid-eighties, he became Regional Manager for VP Racing Fuels and for the next thirty years would grow the business in the Northeast U.S. and Europe. Eventually, he was named Corporate Director of Sales & Marketing for VP. While it was a fulfilling and exciting experience, life on the road began to wear and he retired to spend time with his wife, grown children, and the grandchildren that were on the way. Retirement also gave him the time needed to pursue another passion, storytelling.

For his debut novel, Kelly’s imagination and creativity left the Midwest Book Review to write, “A truly riveting read from cover to cover, "Found In Time" reveals the author’s genuine flair for originality and a deftly crafted novel that is unreservedly recommended.”

His second novel, "Fuelin' Around" is a riveting work in non-fiction that tells the story of how he helped a David take on the Goliaths of the racing fuel industry. It's a funny, riveting read that motorsports editors, racers, fans, and track owners have said they couldn't put down.

Kelly's third novel, the sequel to Found In Time, is titled The Lost Pulse and launches October 17, 2019.
