Holy Land Handbook by George W. Knight is a wonderful resource. This book takes you on a tour of the Holy Land (Israel). It teaches you about the geography, culture, history and the Holy sites. 9 chapters cover Israel from South to north. This book includes a map section to help you see how the Land is all related to one another. It takes you through cities, towns, rivers, mountains and valleys where the events of scripture took place. In the back of the book there is an index of all the sites and places. I can not do this book justice with my review. It is a beautiful, educational book that has helped me to better understand the Bible and grow stronger in my Faith. This would make a wonderful gift. I would recommend every pastor and Sunday school teacher have one on their shelf as a tool to help assist in teaching the Bible.

This book was amazing. History and pictures were perfect from my bible study. Everything you need to know about our Holy Land is in it. An excellent companion for a quiet time and learning more about the glorious Jerusalem. And if you are planning a trip down to Jerusalem, this book will help your visit even more meaningful.

4 stars

I was drawn to this title from the bright images on the cover and my memories of a trip to the Holy Land of Israel in 2017.

A perfect hybrid of travel guidebook and bible dictionary joined with scripture cross references give this book a way to know where in the Holy Land the Lord God was talking about.
Each chapter sections several towns and areas of interest together. The pages feature colour photos and lots of smaller articles to break up the text to explain different attractions and history.

I enjoyed reading this sample and will recommend that my library purchase this item on publication.

Although I had hoped to use this on an actual trip, this seems to be a great guide for first-time students to the Holy Land. Many people visit without the context so this would be an excellent starter guide for Christians.
