An interesting premise for a story. I found it difficult to engage with the characters and I’m not a fan of 3rd person writing.

I voluntarily read an advanced copy.

Etched in Stone by Liv Arnold. First book in the Invested in You series. A spicy story of romance.
It took me awhile to get into this story by this new to me author but once in did I really enjoyed the storyline. Liv Arnold is a new to me author that I look forward to reading more books by. I can't wait to read more in this series.

This book is a fun read. The author writes with humor, passion, and drama. Sebastian and Vanessa are believable characters. Sebastian Stone is the head of his billion dollar company. Vanessa is the new hire who has a kleptomaniac mother that gets caught, yet again, stealing from a jewelry store. To keep her mother out of jail she reluctantly agrees to spy on Sebastian’s company suspected of insider trading. Couple meets in a comical situation and instantly are attracted to one another. The more Vanessa gets to know Sebastian, she doubts there’s anything illegal going on in the company and tries to find evidence to prove it. Romance and adoration complicates her judgement and the Detective continues pressuring Vanessa to find criminal activity against Sebastian. Great ending, would give this book 5 stars.

Vanessa gets her dream job and then her mother is arrested for shoplifting and she is offered a deal to spy on Sebastian, the CEO for insider trading and while doing so has some steamy encounters in public places. Will she choose to save the man she is falling for or her mom? Fast-paced read with fun and entertaining characters, plenty of steam and drama. I liked it.

Approved for an ARC of ‘Etched in Stone’ in exchange for an honest review.

I honestly, really really liked this book. I enjoyed the characters, the romance, the intimacy. However like with most books of this genre, everything felt very rushed, especially the ending. Even with this though, I give this still a high rating if not solely for the potential I can see it having if it were a longer novel.

What would you do if you meet a sexy guy, but you were in the wrong place? For Vanessa Lang, she meets Sebastian Stone in the men’s changing room. He is basically naked, she can’t help but look. She hurries out. Praying to never see this guy again. Vanessa is looking for a job and wants to work at Stone Corp. she gets the job right as her mom steals from a store and gets caught. The police come in and wants Vanessa to spy on the corporation. Vanessa’s first day doesn’t go as planned, she meets her dressing room buddy; who is her boss! Instant chemistry between the two and Vanessa realizes that Sebastian isn’t the bad guy that the police make him out to be. With humor, family interventions, and an unexpected twist; this couple just may not make it. With sexcapes in interesting places, you will very much entertained throughout the book.

4 STARS for Etched in Stone ( Invested in You Book One ) by Liv Arnold

ARC received from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Opinions expressed are my own & have not been influenced in any way.

First book I've read by this author & really loved it ! The cover was eye catching & has significance to the beautiful necklace Vanessa lost upon meeting Sebastian. After graduation Vanessa is hired by Stone Corp as one of their highly coveted interns. On day one she meets the CEO Sebastian Stone only to find out he is the super good looking guy she had accidentally bumped into coming out of a dressing room when they were both shopping at a local upscale clothing store.

These two characters were immediately GREAT together & their chemistry is off the charts. This book also has some super funny one liners! I liked that both characters had some issues to work thru to get to their HEA. Also loved that the author portrayed Sebastian as just a really good guy - always looking out for his employees and very protective of Vanessa.

Highly recommend this book & can't wait to see what else is written by the author in this series. This book however can be read as a standalone.

GREAT READ !!!!

Etched in Stone by Liv Arnold is a heartwarming tale of how far one will go to save family and those you hold dear. Upon graduating college, Vanessa lands her dream job. Unfortunately, Vanessa's joy of beginning her career is ruined when her mother is caught stealing. Vanessa now has to choose between keeping her mother out of jail by spying on her new boss.company for illegal insider trading or enjoying her hard-won job and seeing her mother locked away. Sebastian is the CEO of Stone Corp. Everyone and everything is not as it seems. As Vanessa tries to dig deeper at work, she and Sebastian begin to form a spicy and elicit relationship. With her heart on the line, how can Vanessa choose between her mother and Sebastian?

I found Etched in Stone to be a fun quick read. Vanessa is likeable and innocent in many ways. Sebastian is a strong alpha gentleman. Together, they are explosive and balance each other. I highly recommend this book to those 18+ due to the graphic scenes.

4 STARS, etched in stone ★★★★✩
This book is for you if… you're looking for something short and sexy to read in just one sitting.

⤐ Overall.
Let's keep this short and sweet - just like the book itself. Let me tell you, I didn't read a book in one sitting for a long time. Etched in Stone was just what I needed. I'm stuck at home for more than one reason now: got the bladder infection of my life and everything in the region of the pelvis feels like it's on fire and being maltreated by a dwarf and his pickaxe - don't worry, just got new medication, so fingers crossed.

Etched in Stone, although checking all the boxes for your stereotypical romance, beautifully managed to engage my mind just enough so that I would forget the pain for a while, but not so much that it was an additional cause of exhaustion.

For such a short book, the characters are fleshed out nicely and feel familiar after just a few chapters. The plot is interesting and not too predictable, but as I've said in the paragraph before, don't expect something mind-bending, but rather a story that is convincing in its simple beauty. I dare say the sexy scenes were excellent and would definitely get some people in the mood - that is if you're kidney aren't bailing on you.

⤐ What’s happening.
Vanessa just landed her dream job when fate spokes in her wheel: in exchange for her mother's freedom, she will investigate possible insider training in her new firm. That's just really really hard when the CEO has major crush potential, not only in looks, but also in character.
