Found it lacking:
Whilst there were enjoyable aspects to this book, overall it unfortunately fell flat. A number of aspects felt improbable and unrealistic such as just telling Tony that there was a bounty on his head and that the assassins had crossed the border already and then just leaving without offering witness protection or some other assistance. Further editing is also required as there were times when the timeline didn't quite add up or two different versions of an event were given as if the author forgot to delete one of them. Other times I think key events were cut which resulted in it being a little disjointed, with the details not always lining up such as Siera recognizing the woman from the pet shop when no such incident had been relayed. However I did think that the story line moved along at a fairly good pace and I was eager to find out what was going to happen next.
It would have been nice to see more romance and wooing between Tony and Siera and in fact they spent the majority of the book apart. I didn't really feel a connection to either of them which was a pity.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are solely my own.
