Description

Joy - the unexpected reward for outrageous courage and faith

Based on Jesus’s Parable of the Talents, The Courage Factor challenges readers to think of their lives as a priceless commodity that can be leveraged for positive impact. In reflecting on the ups and downs of his own journey, Bob exposes the fear that keeps us isolated, causing us to lock up our gifts and dreams. Instead of having a positive impact on the world with our talents, we are left frustrated and unfulfilled. But if we have the courage to pursue our dreams—investing our lives and talents into something meaningful—what results is true joy and fulfillment.

Throughout The Courage Factor, readers will meet inspiring individuals with stories that illustrate how even our dark moments and detours can prepare us for significance if we embrace courage and step forward in faith. Discover the potential we each have to unlock and accelerate the dreams and talents of those around us. In key moments of decision, pivotal moments where fear and courage do battle, learn to recognize these moments for what they are, defeat fear, and turn risk into reward. Courageous and fully invested people can change the world, and you can be one of them.

“It’s one thing for a person to possess courage and quite another to inspire others to have it too. Bob Westfall has inspired numerous ministry leaders to conquer their fears, stretch their faith, and set their sights on accomplishing the impossible. Millions of hurting people have received help and found hope because ministry leaders followed the principles found in The Courage Factor. Place this book on top of your reading stack— you’ll be glad you did.” — Hal Donaldson, president of Convoy of Hope

The Courage Factor stopped me in my tracks. I felt God saying, ‘Hey, big shot, I gave you your talent . . . how have you used it for me?’ Thanks, Bob, for rocking me big time. It’s never too late to shoot for the moon and spiritually turn a dime into a dollar.” — John Elefante, former lead singer of Kansas, Grammy and Dove award- winning performer/producer

“In this outstanding book, Bob challenges you to get off the sidelines and get into the game! God takes our gifts and all that we invest and exponentially multiplies it for his purposes. Too often, believers hold back, wondering, ‘Am I good enough? Are my gifts compelling enough? Can God use me?’ Bob challenges us to step past our fear and start using all we’ve been given for God’s glory, promising that if we do, we will find joy. I highly recommend!” — Becky Harling, best- selling author of How to Listen So People Will Talk and The 30 Day Praise Challenge

A free ARC from NET GALLEY let me read/review

Mr. Westfall has written a fresh take on the parable of the talents from the book of Matthew

Jumping off that 'talent' is far more than money Westfall takes us on a great review with stories from the likes of Tammie Jo Shults to Sean Lambert and Loren Cunningham of YWAM fame.

He almost gives to much at first on his own organization and other "BIG" groups but rights the written ship enough so you do stay with it and if you learn nothing new, as always with exposition of scripture well done you come out more motivated.
Enjoyed it
