What is a player? In this instance, it’s a person that doesn’t take things, relationship wise, serious. That’s Sheriff Ben Jordan. He is hot and knows it. How did he become a player? When he was younger he wasn’t one. But then he fell (he thought) in love and was betrayed. So, no more serious relationships. Enter Taylor Madison. Wants to enjoy her semester break. Sees the Sheriff and BOOM! He’s the one. But is this serious? Ben resists. Will he change his mind? Never can tell! Enjoyable quick read with two good characters. Have already started the 2nd installment in the series and looking forward to find out if things work out.
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for an ARC for an honest opinion.

I really enjoyed this book it was a quick romance read. The only thing was that it was to short and I would have liked more background on Taylor the female character. But I really did like Ben the main male character. I think it would have been a little better and I would have cared more about the characters then I did at the end.

Also it looks like the next book from Jules Hahn has the same main male character but the main female character is different which kind of makes me like this book less because I thought Ben found is true love in this book and knowing he is going to be with another one in the next book kind of was a disappointment.

I received a complimentary copy of this novella from the publisher via NetGalley and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

This was a good story. I normally don't go for HFN. I wasn't too sure about reading this one even. Granted I read, "Welcome to Aberdeen" awhile ago. That book takes place AFTER this one. It was nice to read about Ben and Taylor though as she was mentioned in the second book. It also explained Ben's relationship with Karla much better as well.

I did enjoy this book as it was written in a dual POV format. Getting into Ben's thoughts really helped to see him better.

This is a clean romance that I would recommend to someone over the age of 16.
