This book was a whole load of fun. The magical system was really interesting and it had lots of really fun and and fantastic new ideas.
The characters could be a bit fickle (mainly the main guy) but none of them felt too flat and I could discern their differences and it just felt like that was appropriate for his character.
This is obviously a very talented author and I expect I’ll be seeing more great stuff from him in the future.
I’ll probably read the rest of this trilogy when it comes out.

This book! Great series to read. Very entertaining. I could hardly put it down...only when I had to! I'm interested in more Shadow Realm books.
It gripped my attention from the beginning!
