Unfortunately I had to end my read of this early due to technical issues with the ARC.

Multiple times in the portion I read the creator of the converter had “ads” for lack of a better word for their mobi converter. Unfortunately since the press chose a free copy of the converter, these ads were in every chapter and random words would have an asterisk in place of a letter or space or asterisk.

This was the reason I had to end my read because the missing letters were distracting and confusing. I reread more than I care to admit. I was cut off from the story because of the formatting issues.

The part I was able to finish was lovely. The author has an incredible handle on technique and is obviously well versed in world building and seamlessly weaves intricate details into the bigger overall picture.

Unfortunately because the formatting issues affected my ability to read, I can only give this a 3 star review.
